Hi Firecage, On Ver 2.0, I can't seem to start in the DH2 with RAF, I get started with the N11. I checked in the missions and the DH2 is flyable. Not sure what the problem is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much for your work on your campaings -- they are more engging than just the missions.

I have noticed that the Alb DI, II, III, (Not A-Team) have difficulty responding well to pushing the stick forward. I did some adjusting to the Left and Right Elevators (from the ..._DATA.INI) that seemed to make the difference. Here is the default: [LeftElevator] SystemType=CONTROL_SURFACE InputName=PITCH_CONTROL MaxDeflection=25.0 MinDeflection=-30.0 ... I changed MaxDeflection to 35.0 for both the Left and Right Elevator and I can now dive normally. The DIII from A-team uses the default setting and she dives fine, so something is different between the two FMs.

Well forget tweaking the original DR1. Not needed. The new _DATA.INI file from the A-Team (for post FE patch) makes it just right. Way to go!

Because of your discussion, I found another setting in the _DATA.INI that seems to make a big enough difference with response on the A-Team's DR1 and D3. For the moveable parts, aileron, etc., I changed the value for ControlRate= from the default of 4 or 5 to 11. I can break out of a hard bank much easier now. Am I dreaming?

Really fascinating discussion, but I still get the feeling that the AI SPADs are out turning the my DVII, which has rudder control. That is not the way they were. I was thinking that it must be extremely difficult to get these planes matched, if not impossible. I was raised on Red Baron II. That may be part of my problem. But, I am so glad I am flying WWI planes again. Thanks for all your hard work!

Since the patch, focusing on the stock planes, I have noticed that the German planes do not respond as well as they should. If I am in a bank and I apply right rudder to get out of the bank the DVII is sluggish whearas this would not happen with the SPAD, SE5, or updated Camel. All of these planes seem to out perform the DVII. The DVII should out turn the SPAD. In the DVII I have even been in a circular bank many times and it would almost be impossible to pull out and even straighten. This does not happen with the Allied planes. What's the deal? Still like this game ...

Is it possible to add the Camel as AI to one of the campaigns? In the D7, it would be nice to come up against the Camel or other third party planes. Thanks!

Okay, I am flying the Camel in a campaign. Made two file changes. Used WWICAM0_DATA.ini and made these changes. Look for the defaults protected with the semicolon. [AirUnit019] ;AircraftType=SPAD13 AircraftType=Camel Squadron=81ESC UnitName=SPA 81 ForceID=1 ;Nation=FRANCE Nation=RAF ;DefaultTexture=FrenchCamo1 DefaultTexture=RNAS ... I also changed: WWICAMP0.ini to the following (This file I think allows you to see the plane in the Hanger screen): [FRANCEUnit006] UnitName=SPA 81 ForceID=1 UnitID=19 StartDate=7/15/1918 ;AircraftType=SPAD13 AircraftType=Camel ... These two files came with the 2nd Marne Campaign. I had trouble at first with the DefaultTexture=RAF (it crashed FE while loading), so I chose the Navy skins(RNAS) and it worked. I got the original idea from Tex when he added the DH2 back a while ago. Oh God, what I have I gotten myself into?

Be aware that as of this moment, the Dr1 has not been updated for the FE patch like the Camel and doesn't perform up to snuff. Looks great though.

Yes. I have been playing with these two parameters -- it can make a big difference on the less manouverable planes.

I have noticed this too. I found that experimenting with the joystick sensitivity and deadzone settings helped. I increased the sensitivity a bit and made the deadzone smaller.
