Thanks Pol...Glad James is well and Happy :)
  2. Biggest Mistakes of WW2

Was watching a Documentary last night, about 'The Biggest Mistakes of World War two'...yet, it failed to mention, probably the Biggest one of all. The Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbour!... Metaphorically, that's like going up to the Biggest Kid at School, kicking him in the Nuts...then wondering why you and your Nazi mates get seven shades of Shit kicked outta you!
  3. Is WOFF strictly solo flying?

I doubt it will ever happen, though I may be wrong
  4. New WOFF Forum

I've just lost interest in the forums now..since SimHQ. Facebook is my place these days
  5. OFF, ROF, WOFF

It sounds like a Bloody Dog's Kennel doesnt it? But I feel about the various sims, such: I've always been a big fan of OFF (and I will no doubt continue with WOFF)...RoF is cool...very nice looking..DM second to none...but it doesn't have the 'feel' of WW1 to me...it feels like a very pretty, modern Simulator...But, when I create a Pilot..I might as well be creating a sprite. I feel no affinity to him...whereas OFF (and I can only liken it to B17 the Mighty Eighth)...you really feel like the person...it's unique. And it's what brings me back to it time after time. fair Assumption??
  6. OFF, ROF, WOFF

Absolutely chaps!... ROF scores on MP too (but I don't play MP)...so not a score really. I'm genuinely Gutted when I lose a wingman..and almost suicidal when I lose a Pilot...so much so..I can no longer name any of my pilots as myself, or friends..or family...sad, but true!
  7. I have been using a full HDTV for a couple of years now...I was worried at first, because I thought it might not be good for Photoshop...How wrong I was! The Day of the Monitor is nearly at an end I think, as larger, clearer Better, Cheaper HDTV's come onto the market
  8. The requirements thread

Intel i5 -3.50Ghz Asus P8z68-VLX Mobo 8Gig Corsair RAM Nvidia GTX 560TI 2GB Seagate HDD 32" Monitor Windows 7 64bit (Hopefully, should be good to go)
  9. WOFF Website is up!

Looking Good... Seems like you will probably need Windows 7 64 as or Windows 8 64...no support for XP/Vista or 32bit http://www.overflandersfields.com
  10. WOFF Website is up!

It might be fine Olham (just untested) But these days, everyone really should be using 64bit (In my Humble opinion)
  11. They tend to put more clothes on when they see me coming......sadly
  12. In the Days of the Raj

In the greatest days of the British Empire, a new commanding officer was sent to a jungle outpost to relieve the retiring colonel. After welcoming his replacement and showing the courtesies (gin and tonic, cucumber sandwiches) that protocol decrees, the retiring colonel said, "You must meet Captain Smithers, my right-hand man, he's really the strength of this office. His talent is simply boundless." Smithers was summoned and introduced to the new CO, who was surprised to meet a toothless, hairless, scabbed and pockmarked specimen of humanity, a particularly unattractive man less than three foot tall. "Smithers, old man, tell your new CO about yourself." "Well, sir, I graduated with honours from Sandhurst, joined the regiment and won the Military Cross and Bar after three expeditions behind enemy lines. I've represented Great Britain in equestrian events and won a Silver Medal in the middleweight division of the Olympics. I have researched the history of..." Here the colonel interrupted, "Yes, yes, never mind that Smithers, the CO can find all that in your file. Tell him about the day you told the witch doctor to get f....d."
  13. I don't often Cry

But I did reading this.... http://themetapicture.com/if-youre-only-going-to-read-one-thing-today-read-this/
  14. Give me a Spit any day! (No disrespect for German Engineering "vorst sprung dirk technic" as the BMW ads say... But the Spitfire is an Icon)
  15. Cinemaware is bringing Wings back.

Yes, I tried the demo..and I liked it...had the exact same problem as Dej...they need to sort that out!!..But I enjoyed it apart from that
  16. A Tail of two Crocodiles :)

Two crocodiles were sitting at the side of Thames in London . The smaller one turned to the bigger one and said, 'I can't understand how you can be so much bigger than me. We're the same age, we were the same size as kids... I just don't get it.' 'Well,' said the big Croc, 'what have you been eating?' 'Politicians, same ...as you,' replied the small Croc. 'Hmm. Well, where do you catch them?' 'Down the other side of the Thames near the parking lot by Parliament House.' 'Same here. Hmm... how do you catch them?' 'Well, I crawl up under one of their Lexus cars and wait for one to unlock the car door. Then I jump out, grab them by the leg, shake the shit out of them, and eat 'em!' 'Ah!' says the big Crocodile, 'I think I see your problem. You're not getting any real nourishment. See, by the time you finish shaking the shit out of a politician, there's nothing left but an arsehole and a briefcase.'
  17. Female RAF recruits paid compensation for marching injuries

Unfortunately, The Armed Forces (certainly in the UK) come under the same system of 'Health and Safety' as any other employer. So, if you're injured at work, and it's not your fault...they'll be a fat bastard Lawyer just a phone call away!
  18. Respect for Fallen Comrades...NZ Style

Not much more I can add really. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10829992
  19. Cinemaware is bringing Wings back.

I'll get that!...Wings is one of my all time favourites!!
  20. The Mighty Eighth - Trailer

LMFAO!!!!!!! ! I think, because we're all Aviation/Simulation Nuts...We'll probably find fault in most Films of this nature...but, that aside...this looks fab!
  21. I don't often Cry

Probably not entirely true...but neither was E.T. (and I still cried at the end of that!!!) lol
  22. OT: Have a Monopoly set?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ww2peopleswar/stories/40/a3694340.shtml :)
  23. OT: Have a Monopoly set?

Sorry Lou...it's on a 'need to know' basis! On a serious note, I don't have much more than he told me..but there was a whole department at the War Office who worked on Gizmo's and escape kits. The Monopoly one, is just one of many weird and wonderful things they came up with. My Dad worked alongside some of these inventors, before they decided to get shot of him into Nazi Occupied France :)
