  1. I sure as hell didn't

    'American Samurai'
Two color guards and color bearers of the Japanese-American 100th Battalion, 442d Combat Team, stand at attention, while their citations are read. They are standing on ground in the Bruyères area, France, where many of their comrades fell. November 12 1944
(Bruyères is a commune in the Vosges department in Lorraine in northeastern France)
Through a series of costly battles—first in Italy, then in France—the 442nd Regimental Combat Team would become the most highly decorated unit of its size and length of service in the history of the U.S. Army, receiving an unprecedented 8 Presidential Unit Citations, 21 Medals of Honor, and 9,486 Purple Hearts.
The 4,000 men of the team who first went into action in 1943 had to be replaced three and a half times to make up for those who were killed, wounded, and missing in action. They helped win Japanese Americans’ personal battle as well, proving that their loyalty to the United States was beyond question. On July 15, 1946, the survivors of the 442nd marched down Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C., becoming the first military unit returning from the war to be reviewed by President Harry S. Truman. “You fought not only the enemy,” President Truman told them that day, “you fought prejudice, and you have won.”

  2. I bet a great many of the individuals who instigated this coup against the Turkish government end up in a cold wet ditch somewhere or simply disappear never to be seen or heard of again.

Well, many already have been killed..saw a beheading online of a Turkish Soldier..it's a real mess out there...and it's likely to spill over into Europe. If the EU want Turkey to join..all I can say is "Good luck..cos you're gonna need it!"

  3. Bottom line is, it will continue to happen..There are certainly growing concerns that ISIS are/were a manufactured organisation, used to impose greater restrictions on us mere citizens. If so, our governments have bitten off more than they can chew. Though, it would appear at the moment, this man was merely a deranged maniac, as ISIS etc have been very slow to admit responsibility, where they're usually very quick

  4. Everything has already begun to settle down...The greatest thing of all to come out of the whole Issue, is that it now looks like TTIP is about to be shelved..The Best news Britain could have ever dreamt of!

All due respect to the American's..but your business 'values' are deplorable... America will  take away anything from anybody, if it furthers their own selfish ends...And TTIP is absolute proof of that!

I'm cock-a-hoop that TTIP is in it's death throes, as it would almost certainly have spelled the further erosion of our Liberty...the systematic dismantling of our NHS...and your highly questionable Food Safety Regulations, being forced onto us to name but a few.

I've never been a fan of the United States version of 'Freedom and Democracy'...you merely took what we'd put in place, and bastardised it for your own ends.

Even the pro remain press have woken up to the Truth....the scaremongering from the World Elites, has been an utter failure!

  5. This is my final post on this subject..as we'll just end up going round in circles (and there's more than enough of that on facebook)

Immigration has been cited as the main reason for Brexit...I disagree...most of the people I know on FB and the various friends from around Europe and beyond, understand this concept utterly...that Immigration is not only a good thing..our economy would suffer without it.

As a Brexiter, I have been called everything from a 'Stupid old Man' to a 'Racist thug' and worse.....that's fine, sticks and stones....but I have never even mentioned Immigration in a single comment, apart from it being a positive thing, or at worse, irrelevant to the whole Brexit argument. Yes, there are racists on the Brexit side, and like most idiots..are very vocal, without being too bright.

People also keep saying 'Leaving Europe'..well, unless we're planning on towing the UK (minus Scotland  and Ireland) out into the Atlantic..we're not, cannot, and will not be leaving Europe..lol

So, here's my little meme..to get that point across. Thanks for your input, and I wish you long life, and happiness

  6. http://eutruth.org.uk/

I wonder if the people who are scared of Brexit...would be more scared of Remaining?..I think they would, once they've read and fully digested this!..The fact is, whatever economic problems lie ahead..they're NOTHING compared to what would have happened to us had we stayed in. I'm very worried for my European friends.

  7. I think it highly unlikely that Scotland will vote to leave the UK and remain in Europe. To do so will be economic suicide for them. Even if the EU accepts them, their economy is 10th worst in the World...no-one wants or needs their oil, as ISIL are providing for everyones needs...lol... and they'd have to accept the Euro.

  8. I did, and of course I know it has nothing to do with the EU membership. I was just wondering why the UK is not leaving NATO too; a British general, don't remember his name, once mentioned that he would like to see a NATO-free Great Britain. That's what I don't understand, some people voted "leave" because they want to make Great Britain great again (does it ring any bells? Trump anyone?). It feels like some political parties want to return to 1900 or worse, when we "civilised" Europeans believed to be the superior race that had the right to tear apart Africa, the Americas and the Middle East, for natural resources and other "duties". Today's world is different, it's globalized. Some think it's good, some think it's not, but this is the situation. I can't even think of my country alone as a competitor to giants like China, India, Russia, and many others. Maybe the UK will make it, maybe not. It's their choice. I am only wishing that their choice won't have tragic consequences for other European countries.

It's not really about making Britain Great again..it's more about trying to make it less shitty..which it was whilst festering in a Communist Bloc...which even Gorbachev refered to it as. "The EU is like Soviet Russia, but wearing a suit"...got it spot on in my opinion

Well, maybe you should look deeper at the balance between the states and the union in the US of A.

Not too different to the EU.

It's very different indeed...the States are made up of American's...not 27 different Countries.

How do you think Americans would feel, if they grew up, in a Union with Canada..where they paid $20Billion a year to Ontario...who gave them back about 1/3 in a rebate per year, told you what you can and cannot spend it on..and makes/changes your laws (such as banning guns completely?

    Sound awful?...welcome to the EU
