you might want to check the RWR on the tail, on your model its is slimmer and a bit longer than the real one.

you might want to take a look at the tail of the F-20 in the picture below, the cooling inlet is a little bit more flat and there's also an air outlet on both sides, couple of inches behind the inlet.

SF2 has a seperate mods folder,

for win 7 its something like:

C:\Users\[your name]Saved Games\ThirdWire

weapon editor not needed, just put your SF2 weapons in objects\weapons

as described in the knowledge base, and the readme's

its less complicated than SF1...

But is anyone else having a problem with the new LOD???!!!

 

Because when I am in-game... the shadow map on it is INVERTED.

ok, I did a flight over north-west germany and the netherlands.

All of the airfields I flew over had trees on it.

so, before I can say it's a bug, does anyone else have trees on Twente AB? or did I do something wrong?

decal fix (maybe?) Reverse=TRUE (unless the FARA is NOT a decal, and mapped to the skin; that can only be fixed by painting it out, and creating a NEW decal to replace it, then locating it via the decals ini)

2. trees on airfield:

as I was testing something with the viggen for gillg, I discovered some interesting trees on an airfield

SF2E (merged), original SF1 Viggen pack, converted to SF2 by myself

No shadows for the Viggen and its sidewinder clones.

the gripen tank, pilot and Erijammer do cast shadows

(Viggen with Erijammer pod, RB-74 and fuel tank)

Also check the decal on the right intake, it says ARAF instead of FARA

it would sure be nice to have a Buccaneer in SF2E

If you want to have IL-2 1946 on Win Vista or 7, i have heard it's better not to install it in your c:\programfiles if you want to add mods

I am running il-2 on a 64bit win7, and it works fine

Ultrapack is a big one, and it looks very good

however, I don't know how many chafs are released at the same time.

and according to Saab: "Each BOL dispenser holds 160 countermeasures" if thats thrue my 180 was wrong, but the total of 320 is still right

The dispenser is on the rear of the sidewinder rail,

the black holes behind the meteor missile are for the flares, 16 on each side, 32 total

Towed decoys aren't supported by TW, are they?

I think these, aswell as Viggen, are DATs, if so uploading them here is a NOGO

 

I you have only one LOD, your ini is correct, but go ahead, set the number higher, I'd say 500 (meters), these pods should be quite visible is such distance

thats why i was looking for the author,

btw the sf1 versions of this pods can be downloaded here at CA

so that LOD distance number is the distance within which you can see the object...

I was converting the sf1 Viggen to SF2, in which I succeeded, at last...

I also converted 2 Erijammers, the "Erijammer 200 ECM pod" and the "Erijammer A110 ECM pod"

question1, who is the original author of those 2 pods?

question 2, should i share my converted pods here on combatace, for people who don't know how to convert those things (like me)

could be useful on the gripen too

question3, as there's only one LOD, what should the LOD distance be?
