The A-10 is actually a pretty lethal air to air killer, if you keep it's capabilties in mind while at the stick. It's ability to out turn just about anything, heavy armor and rather large gun make it a pretty tough cookie. Through a few Sidewinders on the outside hardpoints, and you are packing some pretty some serious cans of whoop ass. I wish that place was still around. They went out of business a few years ago. They had a big 12 inch woofer mounted right under the chair, and when you opened up that GAU-8....OH MAN!

In fact, with the new system I have been forced to re-evaluate my opinion of GRAW. It is actually quite good as well. It will never replace the original Ghosts, but still pretty good. Looking forward to really delving into ArmA though....The depth of the game is amazing. I read a blurb from one of the game mags that was nearly spot on..."Think Battlefield 2 on a MUCH MUCH larger scale"....You can pretty much do anything.

Frenzy was a metal Jar Jar Binks. The Transformers sucked harder than Spider Man 3 That said....it wasn't totally worthless....it did provide me with 2 hours of staring at Megan Fox

The Mariners are doing much better than I anticipated this year...They aren't in the basement, so that is a plus!

Even if they are hot....I think was should pack em all up and put em on a deserted island with enough food for 3 days....and tell em the boat will be back in a month. See how hot they are after a few days of no makeup and spa treatments and no more living under daddies roof with the million dollar allowance.

I absolutely suck at ground pounding. Basically, if I have an unguided weapon onboard, it is probably going to be there when I land.
-
Well, I decided it was time for a total all around make over. I am rolling a Athlon64 3800 with a GeForce 8800GTX now. ArmA runs great now!
-
I'm going to be offline for about a week while I move into my new house....perhaps I will study some and try my hand at the mission editor.... Seems like a fun game, I am still searching for the right balance of performance versus eye candy....my system is pretty close to the recommended specs (over in many cases), the Geforce 6600 being the exception and it runs like poo.

FOTF replied to FOTF's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Well, I hex edit them, and then fire up the editor and follow the step's USAFMTL listed in the knowledge base, and then when I start the game and go to the load out screen to check out my new tanks....there are no weapons at all....no missles, no gunpods, ECM devices...nothing. I have to restore my old weapon pack install to get them back..... I will pack everything up and PM you a link, thanks! -

Yup...in that case, the hex editing was done correctly. -

Hey, what do you guys think about building a cockpit out of something like this..... http://www.mameworld.net/massive/How-to/Ca...inisterseat.pdf It is inteded for use as a sit down MAME cabinet, but I think could easily become a flight sim 'pit
