The trouble with Lucasarts is they don't seem to have an original bone in their body. Almost all the Star Wars games are clones of something else. A new genre pops up, LA has to make a SW game....Look at Battlegrounds. Do you honestly think that game ever would have seen the light of day were it not for BF1942? Or the RTS games...heck...their first foray into RTS was little more than a Age of Empire mod. Even their Indiana Jones game was a rip off of Tomb Raider. Though, you could say they hit the nail on the head with KOTOR...though....was that just Neverwinter Nights with lightsabers?

When did A-6s start carrying 3xx modex? I thought they were always 5xx and the A-7 was 3xx and 4xx -

This looks absolutely amazing! -
I second that. My 12 hour shifts are done solo. I am the only one there for 12 hours straight. Talk about long!

I find the Lego games to be better than half the stuff Lucasarts puts out. The production value is absolutely amazing and the game play is nicely paced.

VFA-22 Redcocks

Dude....you are lucky I just worked 12 hours and it is 6:45 in the morning....I will let that one slip. But, in lieu of some missing antenae, I believe the current version of the bug we have will serve as a C if needed. -

We've only got one F/A-18 model out there...don't quote me, and for god sakes don't flame me all you rivet counters out there....but I beleive the differences in the Hornet variations up to the E were pretty much internal. The external appearance of the bug were pretty much the same throughout the series up to the Super Hornet. -
USAF: Air Dominance?

Can we please stop having this discussion over and over and over and over again? This is like the 4,000th time this topic has been discussed -
Been playing around with the Tomcat and finally figured out how to decal the damned thing! I got so tired of having to paint a skin for the CAG and a skin for the rest of the squadron. Now, I don't have to! BNs are changable now also. Here is a couple of WIP shots of the VF-32 Swordsmen. This is an update to a skin I had done earlier.

A dark day? A lucky day, as us PC guys were able to avoid a steaming pile of ****! That game was god awful....worse than the Jango Fett game.

VFA-25 Fist of the Fleet
FOTF posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
File Name: VFA-25 Fist of the Fleet File Submitter: paul.nortness File Submitted: 2 May 2007 File Updated: 2 May 2007 File Category: F/A-18 This skin will add the VFA-25 Fist of the Fleet squadron to your F/A-18A in SFP1/WOV/WOE This new skin uses decals for the graphics, allowing you to have the CAG's A/C along with the standard grey squadron birds. To use the CAG's skin, just select modex 300 in the loadout screen. One note, the USN skips modex x08 and x09. The game engine cannot simulate this. I had to fudge a little and use creative impression to get around this. If you select 408, the aircraft will actually show "410" in game. Not a big deal...but could cause a little confusion. 1. Copy the VFA25 and Decals folders to your \OBJECTS\AIRCRAFT\FA-18a folder. Thats it! Launch SFP1/WoV/WOE and select the VFA-25 skin from the F/A-18A loadout screen. Click here to download this file -

File Name: VFA-105 Gunslingers File Submitter: paul.nortness File Submitted: 28 Apr 2007 File Category: F/A-18 Installation Instructions ------------------------- This will overwrite my existing VFA-105 Gunslingers skin. Delete that skin prior to installing this one. This new skin uses decals for the graphics, allowing you to have the CAG's A/C along with the standard grey squadron birds. To use the CAG's skin, just select modex 400 in the loadout screen. One note, the USN skips modex x08 and x09. The game engine cannot simulate this. I had to fudge a little and use creative impression to get around this. If you select 408, the aircraft will actually show "410" in game. Not a big deal...but could cause a little confusion. This skin also uses a seperate "Decal" folder for some of the common decals. The idea of this is to act as a reciptical for the common files that all the Hornets use, so I don't have to keep including them over and over again. As I redo my Hornet skins using decals, I will continue to add to this folder. Do not delete the Decals folder found in your FA-18a directory. 1. Copy the VFA105 and Decals folders to your \OBJECTS\AIRCRAFT\FA-18a folder. Thats it! Launch SFP1/WoV/WOE and select the VFA-105 skin from the F/A-18A loadout screen. Click here to download this file
