  1. VF-111 Sundowners

I just finished my 1:32nd scale Tomcat.... This monster is BIG! Here is a scale shot.....you can see the penny barely covering the nose wheel... To give you an idea how big this Turkey is, take a look at the tape measure. Yes, that is the 2 foot mark poking out the back!
  2. If memory serves, his time with VA-46 was just as ill fated as his stint in VA-163. he was involved in an incident aboard the Forrestal in which a zuni rocket accidently fired and triggered a huge explosion and subsequent fireball on the flight deck. McCain took schrapnel to his chest and legs while trying to get another pilot out of his plane when a bomb detonated.

  4. When did you start modding...

I've been modding since 96. Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 2 had just come out and shortly after it's release several editors hit the scene allowing you to add custom cars, edit driver info, team stats, even create and add new tracks. I started modding that, and then it parlayed into level design for Unreal and Unreal Tournament, then went back to racing and created a full mod for F1Challenge and then started skinning for the thirdwire games.
  5. Hangin with the Hawks

Today was the "Dad and Me with the Seahawks" day. Man! What fun. Only a couple players were there, but still a lot of fun. We got to run some drills, Lofa Tatupu made me do pushups for knocking over one of his pylons in the obstacle course. But the most amazing thing was they opened up the Seahawks locker room. This is a place that is typically off limits for the normal tours. If you are not a player or part of the training/coaching staff, you do not see the inside of this room....it was VERY cool......I took some pics to share. My daughter and I down on the field...up to the right is the flag pole they raise the 12th Man flag on Here is a perspective of the "Crow's Nest" that not many people are given...and usually when they do have that view, they can't enjoy it because a 250 pound monster is chasing them down... And that monster is named Lofa... Not quite as intimidating....my wife...GRRRRR! Starting for the Seahawks at Wide Reciever....MY DAUGHTER! In Seattle, we have the "Ring of Honor". The members of the ring are people who played an important part of Seahawks history. In the locker room, they have the jerseys of those players hanging from the walls...Here are a couple of the greatest players to wear the blue and green. My daughter and I sitting in a future Ring of Honor members locker....Matt Hasselbeck Finally, the day ended with a BBQ with the players and autograph session. Here my daughter and I let Lofa Tatupu and Ryan Plackemeier take their picture with us.
  6. Hangin with the Hawks

You always have to give Pats fans a hard time! Yeah, it was a good time. It was awesome to see inside the locker room. I ran down the same tunnel the players do when they come out....pretty cool to retrace those steps. Lofa was awesome....funny guy. We were running this obstacle course and at the end was a tackle dummy with Lofa sitting next to it. There was these pads we had to step over, then weave through some poles and the shuffle through some cones and then do another set of sticks and then high step over some more pads and then tackle this dummy. Before hand, he told us each stick knocked over was worth 5 pushups (he admited he had a guy in the group before us do 25, and he sent him back to do it over again)....I tell you, it was initimidating running this course with a three time pro bowler watching you, and then yelling at you to destroy this tackle dummy. This older guy is before me and he starts over the pads, and hits the first set of sticks and is going REALLY slow and cautious....guess the idea of doing pushups for Lofa didn't appeal to him. Lofa starts yelling "Come on Gramps! You can go faster than that!" What shocked me was how loud it gets in that stadium. There was only 250 people and they had us yell "Go Hawks"....man, what an echo it made. I now understand why people say we pump noise into that stadium....
  7. Whatcha building right now?

Here's my latest project...... This is the cockpit from a 32nd scale F-15C. I used a new technique for the CRT screens in the instrument panel using Amscan "Stardust Confetti". paint the screens and their frames flat black Once the black dries, go over the screens again with Tamiya's "Clear Green" Once that dries, take a piece of confetti and cut it the size of your screen. Secure the screen with a drop of future. Viola! The screen now changes color depending on the angle you view it and reflects color and light just like a real screen! Hey Jugs...I actually forgot about that. Give me a shout when you send it out. FC...if you have anything you want to part with, keep me in mind....
  8. It was just announced that Codemasters has signed a deal with F1 to produce F1 racing sims across multi platforms. Official Statement from Codemasters - Codemasters, developer and publisher of award-winning racing video games, has secured the exclusive video game rights to FORMULA 1 it was announced today. In a worldwide licensing agreement with Formula One Administration Limited, Codemasters will develop a new generation of the multi-million selling FORMULA 1 game franchise across multiple platforms. Codemasters Studios, creators of genre-leading racing titles Colin McRae: DiRT and Race Driver: GRID, will lead the design and development of official FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP games for home console, handheld and PC gaming formats. “FORMULA 1 is ambitious in expanding its reach with more circuits planned beyond recent additions in the Middle East and China. It is also ambitious in expanding its reach via technology. The digital communities that computer and video gaming creates will play a key role in further growing the FORMULA 1 audience and connecting them globally,” said Rod Cousens, chief executive officer, Codemasters. “As a world-leading creator of driving games, this alliance with FORMULA 1 is the jewel in Codemasters’ racing crown and creates an undisputed segment champion. FORMULA 1 has gone with the best, the segment leader. It has gone to the home of the EGO Engine for quality; it has gone to the company that can host FORMULA 1 Online, to the company that is streaking away from the pack.” The worldwide deal provides Codemasters with rights to feature all Grand Prix circuits, FORMULA 1 teams, cars, and driver likenesses. The FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP games will be developed using the evolution of the award-winning EGO Game Technology Engine, Codemasters’ highly versatile cross-platform middleware technology. Its advanced graphics and physics technology brings an unmatched cinematic quality and realism to interactive entertainment. The EGO Engine is currently being deployed in the creation of Race Driver: GRID, the latest in Codemasters Studio’s international circuit-based racing series. Set to be a landmark release when it launches on May 30th, Race Driver: GRID was recently hailed as 'The driving game of the summer' by BBC Top Gear magazine. Codemasters expects the first game based on the FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP to launch in 2009. “Codemasters’ success and recent innovations in the racing game space makes the company more than appropriately tuned for the challenge,” said Chris Deering, chairman, Codemasters. “The combination of FORMULA 1’s new momentum of expansion and Codemasters’ contemporary technology and past experience is the breaking of a new dawn for the sport, on the track and on the HD game screen.” The good thing about Codemasters is they recognize the PC as a gaming platform....so we should end the F1 drought on the PC soon

  15. What Are You Paying For Gas...

Yeah.....that's a riot. Like when I drove my SUV to California the other week and whined about the 50 bucks per trip I saved by not driving the little car. My SUV gets 5 miles less per gallon (25 MPG) than my sedan (30 MPG) on the highway. But the bigger tank on my SUV meant that I only had to fill up 3 times as opposed to 5-6 in the sedan. A normal trip to California in the sedan costs me around 300 bucks in gas. This was the first trip in the SUV and I spent 250. "tree huggers" can suck on that one
  16. New FSP out soon

How's it coming? Let's see some pics!
  20. Here is my Colonial Viper Mk. I. This is the recent Revell "30th Anniversary" re-release. Scrambled to get this weathered and finished before my vacation... I have left off the clear pieces for the thrusters right now....I am searching for the right shade of blue and then I will paint the interiors of them and attach them. I am debating whether this one would look better on the stand sitting on my desk or if it should hang from the ceiling.
  21. one last build before vacation...

Thanks guys. And just for the record.....Starbuck is a dude!
  22. Wish I could help you buddy.....but unfortunately this forum is for tech issues regarding the creations I make for Wings over Europe. I'm afraid there isn't going to be a lot of help found here. I would suggest posting this in the LOMAC section. In fact, I'll help you out by giving you a friendly nudge in the right direction with a little moderator magic.....
