DBS 2: The Modder Consortium
FOTF replied to Major Lee's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Hey Major Lee, count me in if you need any USN/USMC skins.... -
yeah....dry brushing is a great thing! I just wish the rest of my modeling skills would catch up with my cockpits!

Schumaker to Cabbie: I'm Driving!
FOTF replied to Fates's topic in Racing Simulations General Discussions
who's schumaker? Is he related to 7 time world champion Michael Schumacher at all? Maybe distant cousin or something? -
I got kinda burned out on the Skyhawk, so I stuck it on the shelf for a bit.....and have been doing bits and pieces on it....It's actually getting pretty close to being ready for some paint. 72nd scale pilots would be way too small. most 48th scale models come with a driver. I wish that Tomcat did, a pilot and RIO would look awesome sitting in that office
-
holy smokes! I completely forgot about Strike Commander. Are you running it in DOS Box?
-
Here's the cockpit of a 32nd scale Tomcat I just started

Cable sucks. I had Comcast for about three months because Verizon DSL wasn't available at the time. I had nothing but connection issues, terrible tech support, slow speeds. It was a nightmare. Then, one day the mail box had a flyer from Verizon that said DSL was available and I called em as soon as I got in the house. A week later my DSL modem arrived, got it hooked up and the minute I verified I was connected I called Comcast and told em to shove off. Our new house is wired for Verizon Fios fiber optics....it blows Comcast out of the water. I can download a 4 gig file in less than a day. The same file would have taken at least a week on Comcast. Fios will be carrying TV soon, and as soon as they do Comcast is getting the boot all together.

Wanna see something even more mad crazy? http://www.carrierbuilders.net/gallery/200...rprise_1-72.htm That's right....a 72nd scale CVN-65 USS Enterprise...

Mirror mirror on the wall whos the ugliest of them all
FOTF replied to triplethr3at's topic in The Pub
Yeah, I gotta agree with C5...the super bug is butt ugly. Not a fan. I think it should be illegal to call them Rhinos and take away from the greatness of the F-4 -
Whoa.....nice chest rug You are aptly named my friend!

I have become hopelessly addicted to Generally. Anyone else out there play?
-
Nice! I have been trying out this tool called Snake Dicto or something like that for track making. It's pretty cool but has a steep learning curve
-
Check it out here....http://generally.rscsites.org/ It's great fun
-
man, that guy got boned.

Just a super steady hand, some dry brushing and a fine tip Sharpie pen. Undercoat the panels grey, use a fine brush for the black parts and then dry brush (dip your brush into the paint and then wipe it almost dry into a paper towel. Then lightly brush it across the panel and the small amount of paint will show up on the raised details) the dials white. I added white for the artificial horizon and then filled it in with a fine tip sharpie pen. Same thing for the ejection handles....brushed yellow and added the black stripes with the sharpie

Here is a couple pics from my latest build..... It's a Hasegawa 1/32nd scale A-4F Skyhawk. Going to be completely out of box, with the exception of decals and weapons. I am exchanging the kit Bullpups for resin AGM-45 Shrikes

Nah, I haven't had a chance to Steam it yet. Haven't been spending a lot of time in front of a computer lately....been building models
-
If you had to choose between the two, I would pick WoE. However, if you can find the two for cheap I would pick them both up....

IMHO, Lock On is not much more than eye candy
