  1. HEYY!!! Back again...

I made an updated version of VFA-115 skin, with updated tailcode for CAG-5...it's in the SF2 Download section.

That would be more appropriate for this scenario. :ok:

I also did a complete REDUX of my VFA-102 skin...the old one wasn't sharp at all.

That's in the SF2 download section as well. :good:

I have been swinging in between working on my new terrain, and making skins...

...got some new Growler stuff on the way!

...umm...let me get this straight.

IS that the new F/A-18C, that has been storied for sooo long?

...and if so, ARE we cleared to use it?

Been hankering to share me a tad bit of wealth...

WELL! That's what I've seen so far for now.

Everything else is quite sublime :clapping:

    But umm.....the baby Hornet.

Get---Get at me about that.

  2. Hey SidDogg,

The cheezy CGI (Its Lucas Film CGI so it prob aint to chezy) is a lot cheaper and safer than putting up 10+ P-51 Mustangs and the rest of the national and international treasure War Birds, however; the 3/4 scale Thunder Mustang I think could have pulled it off like the mock M-1 in Courage Under Fire which were British Centurions shipped from Australia with sheet metal added to make them resemble M1A1 Abrams.

I can never get enough of WWII movies. Went and visited a RED TAIL WARRIOR about 10 years ago in an assisted living condo. He had great stories I wish I could remember his name, damn me, he was a true American G.I. Joe Hero. Those pilots were the best of the best because the bar was raised to an almost unreachable level. Thats why they lost no bombers when assigned escourt duty.

The fake Abrams seen outside the movie. Note the six roadwheels rather than the Abrams' seven, fume extractor correctly mounted on the first third of the gun barrel rather than the last third as on Chieftain-based Abrams fakes, and the Centurion Mark V rear stowage bin presumably left fitted to represent the Abrams' Honeywell gas turbine.

Yeah, before I came back to here, I decided to watch the trailer a few more times....been a while since i saw it before...

    ...on second thought...

...yeah. TOTALLY IN. ALL IN

  3. Dave is right - maybe the clip was a bit "loaded" with action compared to real video clips from WWII that we have all seen, but it might not be bad. If I can tolerate all those "Dogfights" episode simulated video and not complain about how unrealistic they seemed (they should have used a Third Wire product instead of what they used...) I could certainly watch this.

  4. ALRIGHTY, FOLKS!!!!!

Been making HUGE headway on this thing, despite aforementioned difficulties...

NOW! The next question I have is.....

...How MANY tiles CAN a TE TextureList Hold?

I've made a BUNCH of my own Transition, Road and River tiles from the stock set for now.

They look good, but when I attempt to add them all to the TextureList in TE... it just stopped at a certain point, and the list refuses to take on any more

...has anyone else run into this issue? :dntknw:

  5. Roger that Sid! POTUS got him a pretty impressive body count so far! The Iranians are stupid. They do have the capability to attempt to close the Straits of Hormuz. They have pulled this stuff before. If they try it again they will get skull F***ed. Nobody said bomb Iran. What I said was keep the worlds oil flowing. Remember the "Tanker War", OP Praying Mantis? The average Joe Iranian that is educated and lives in the urban centers is pro western and against the theocrats. The contrast is the millions of half ignorant rural types that check their wells everynight looking for the 13th Imam, these types are the ones that are in the ranks of the Pasdaran. Those are the ones that go into the cities during the protests and kill their secular minded urban siblings. I do not think we need to go to war with Iran but if we had a choice in 02-03 between Iran and Iraq, Iran was the only one that provided a viable threat to the USA. Saddam was horrible but as we "Mercuns" fail to realise he was not a sponsor of international terrorism like Iran was and is. The way to defeat the Ayatollahs is from the inside but we have fu**ed up the region so bad now that Iraq is now a Shia sattellite of the Ayatollahs. Do we not remember who we fought in Iraq during the surge? In 06-08 it was not the Baathists Sunnis, but it was the Shia militias led by Sadr and backed and trained and helped by the Qudz Force. I am no peace-nik, but I think war should be waged in an intelligent manner and an invasion of Iran would not be intelligent. But sinking their "bass-boat navy" would be fun!

See, now I think THAT perspective is quite well-rounded.

I didn't even realize it was like that with the country folk over there...

It's too bad they could be taken advantage of like that.

  6.

If they are not careful, they may get their wish.

Good point. If I may say so myself...

Speaking of foreign relations, POTUS might not be the way many people wish...

...but I think he's already proven by now that he ain't no punk. :ok:

  7. I think there is also AUTOMATIC_SPEED. I playing around with Bug and made working flaps in double mode - automatic and manual.

    thanks God for OUT file

Im still not sure about values, in automatic mode work only inner flaps and they move to the max 20 degrees. This mode is used in normal flight.

In manual mode inner and outer (flaperons) move to the max 45 degrees. 45 deegrees set is used to the landing, 30 degrees to the take off.

...That, sir, is what I have been looking to do for the LONGEST time!!!!!

I have played with it also in the past, but to no avail.

    How is that accomplished?
