  1. BTW, has anyone noticed improved detection range for Floggers with December patches? I think MLAs & MLDs can detect player now at 70 KM, MLs at 65 KM. Before (Jun 2010?) it was 60 KM for all three subtypes, I believe!

  4. Thanks, yes I've found this site yesterday (hence the whole idea). I've also dl'ed some pdf books in german on Soviet 16 va in DDR - "Sowjetishe Fliegerkrafte Deutschland 1945-1994 1-4".   5. Thanks thats a good read! I've got my hands on decent sources on DDR Airforce and Soviet Airforce in East germany (16 va). I'm still looking for detailed source on the Airforce of People's Republic of Poland, Soviet Airforce in Poland (4 va) and their Czechoslovak counterparts (covering whole Cold War period). Preferably in English or Polish, but I can always use Google translator .

Well, ltely I've been tinkering with the idea of creating detailed orbats (or even updating whole campaign files) for the original '56, '62, '68, '79 & beyond scenarios for SF2:E. This would not only be limited to units of Soviet Airforce in East Germany like the above, but it would also encompass East German Airforce, Polish Airforce, Soviet Airforce in Poland and (if I find decent sources) Czechoslovak Airforce. Obviously many of the required aircrafts don't exist in stock game, so use of such campaigns would require downloading missing stuff from CA or even creating placeholders from existing aircrafts via *.ini edits. If time permits, I think I'll do it ;). Of course one may wonder what's the point , since SF games aren't even "realistic" (tho VERY enjoyable!) simulators so why go the lengths of tweaking the order of battle when even the stock one is pretty good? To me it's this freedom to customize game to suit one needs is what makes SF series great! P.S. Merry Christmas to you too EDIT: As for the French, thanks but Google translator took care of it . I could understand it pretty well (broken English FTW! lol).

  12. Yes, if you want changes in flightengine.ini to affect all your merged titles, then you'll have place the file in all the respective folders: C:\Users\.....\StrikeFighters2 Isreal\Flight\ ; StrikeFighters Vietnam\Flight\ ; StrikeFighters Europe\Flight\ etc.

  17. One could make a placeholder for B-50 using B-29 with ini edits. I think that the only visual difference would be in the vert stabilizer.

  20. Very nice! I couldn't help but notice that F-4S uses old vector type RHAW and default loadout of AIM-7E & E-2. Were USN 's phantoms behind those of USAF at the time? Edit: Since it's a development of F-4J I believe DopplerLookdown=TRUE should be in it's data.ini (?)

Here's the topic on the ThirdWire board: http://bbs.thirdwire....php?f=9&t=8071 You can post there with your problem description, it will help to prove that this is a serious problem, and perhaps will "force" TK to fix it ASAP.

I HATE when TK does that! Instead of fixing the issue, he takes the easiest approach and removes the feature...First snoopy, now this? Couldn't he at last leave it as an option in difficulty panel? Or do it as variable of sorts so even when player is in AI's blind spot, there'sśtill 5 or 10 % chance that AI will notice... /end of rant/ Actually I haven't notice this behaviour but now that it's been mentioned I will keep an eye out for the "all seeing AI" . Ignorance is a bliss sometimes...
