  1. I don't really now what other advice I can give you mate :(. Maybe just do a clean install of windows? Lots of wor but the result is doubtful....Another, temporary solution migt be to lower details (say Horizon to High or Normal, Mirrors Off) so you can have 60 FPS all the time). In future this odd behaviour might be resolved by either patch or driver update.... EDIT: Forgot to mention I'm using DVI to HDMI cable.
  2. So from your posts I gather that this problem appears (stuttering below 60 FPS) no mater what VSync setting you're using....Very odd indeed. 1. Are playing stock or heavily modded SF2? If its the latter then try removing all mods. 2. Another thing to check is to display in-game FPS counter (pres alt+d twice). FLIGHT FPS will be your Geforce's generated framerate while GAME FPS will be game's engine/physics framerate. Now mate please check what's the GAME FPS when this stuttering occurs (when your FLIGHT FPS in the 40-50 range). 3. Try them 258 drivers if you haven't already. 4. Now this is a long shot but turn off any antivurs/firewall/bittorrent software running in the background. EDIT: 5. Set your CPU and GPU to stock clocks. EDIT2: I made a mistake, should've written GRAPHIC instead of FLIGHT FPS, baka baka me :P
  3. I run with VSync forced off. But at what patch level are you playing mate? I've heard that EXP2 (December-2010 B level) worked wonders FPS-wise for some ppl.
  4. Sony Bravia 32EX500 @ 1920x1080 plus Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit. Good Luck! P.S. Make sure to set VSYNC to Force Off in NV control panel if you haven't done so already. Another thing is to increase/decrease "Maximum pre-rendered frames" option there and see if that makes any difference.
  5. Perhaps you should try an older set of ForceWare drivers? Which 1 are you using atm?
  6. Yep, unless you use triplebuffering. Which, AFAIK, SF doesn't use.
  7. Yep, still 460 GTX allright ;). The first offcial drivers for my card, 258.96, seems to work the best. I've also used later drivers - 263.06 and 265.90 quadro (using modded *.inf file) but these literally HALVED my FPS! So I'm back with the good 'ol 258.96.
  8. Flying in F-15A (I believe it's cockpit is the most taxing on performance of all TW fighters) I'm getting 40-50 FPS and it's silky smooth (everything set to Unlimited, plus detail mesh set to 8 from original 4)! JIttering starts at and below 30 FPS for me... EDIT: And I'm using Track IR5 so smoothness is essential here
  9. Before switching to WIn 7 make sure that your laptop's graphic chip DOES support DX 10 in HARDWARE, otherwise you might not see much of an improvement!
  10. Slightly off topic, but if you want the Javelin Faw9 to use stock Firestreak missile as well, then a part from doing what guys have posted above, you'll also have to add SpecificStationCode=FIRESTREAK at appropriate weapon stations in its data.ini. Or, like malibu43 said, wait for the patch .
  11. Wrench, what about just deleting modded firestreak and red top folders? Wouldn't this make game default to stock ones?
  12. AV-8A Harrier for SF2

Sorry for the very late answer! From Enhanced Pack readme: "It includes six Skins utilizing the Squadron.INI and the Decal System of WOE. Also a Loading Screen is included and a Updated Data_INI for LHA Operations and with Chaff/Flares and Landing Lights installed. This reflects All Three Combat Squadrons that operated AV-8A's in the Marine Corps from 1972 to 1984."
  13. AV-8A Harrier for SF2

    Version

    490 downloads

This is a ThirdWire WoE AV-8A Harrier converted for SF2. This package includes 331Killerbee's Enhanced Pack. INSTALLATION: Unpack the archive and drop the AV-8A folder to your MOD /Objects/Aircraft directory. You'll also have to extract original lod files from WoE ObjectData.cat using the CAT extractor. Following lods: AV-8A.LOD, AV-8A_LOD2.LOD,AV-8A_LOD3.LOD,AV-8A_LOD4.LOD & AV-8A_LOD5.LOD once extracted should go to the AV-8A folder. The AV-8A_cockpit.LOD needs placing in AV-8A/Cockpit folder. This is my first conversion so if messed something up, you let me know ;). Enjoy! 14. While browsing aircrafts' data.ini files I've noticed that MiG-17PF and all variants of MiG-21 have AircraftCapability=DAY_ONLY. Shouldn't at least some be DAY_AND_NIGHT? Wasn't MiG-17PF a night interceptor as well?
  15. Yeah I think so too. My guess is that this entry set to true overrides userlist.ini in some way.
  16. From Meteor's data.ini: [MissionData] NationName=RAF AircraftRole=FIGHTER AircraftCapability=DAY_ONLY ServiceStartYear=1949 ServiceEndYear=1957 Availability=VERY_COMMON Exported=TRUE ExportStartYear=1950 ExportEndYear=1971 ExportAvailability=COMMON ExportedToEnemy=TRUE <----------------------------------- Cultprit???? 17. Thanks all! I guess it's time to harass TK then ^_^
  18. Thanks for the answers guys! Just to confirm: I shouldn't bother to edit the data.inis then? Edit: Guess I've just answered the question, lol.
  19. Happy Birthday

[May you live] A Hundred Years! (as we say it in Poland)
  20. Happy Birthday SFP1Ace!

    Dziękuję! Thanks everybody!
  21. F-100A selection is faulty. You can select F-100A for 1956 campaign, but you'll end up with F-100C.
  22. Star Trek: Bridge Commander

I have fond memories of this game. Commanding from a bridge with a virtual crew, quite realistacally recreated in 3d, was a concept never explored before in space sims I believe. I also remember having great difficulties with one of the earlier missions where you had to take on 2 romulan capital ships...
