  1. Re: Your Point Above Apparently the mania pays dividends!
  2. Skippy, you're a sick man........... either that or you're building one of the beasts!
  3. Another goodie! What would be even nicer would be having it in-game............ in a Hermes scheme................ any scheme actually.
  4. Score one for The_Editor! The beginnings of Hermes as she was as a fixed wing carrier (none of your namby pamby amphibious/commando/jump jet stuff............no, real hard core with Sea Vixens, Buccaneers, Scimitars, etc. )
  5. Not Victorious (which I have to rebuild).
  6. Early days, but awaiting her Buccaneers.............................
  7. Why I Don't Shop on the Day After Thanksgiving

One can only hope that they didn't find what they wanted in the store. What they need is treatment for some perverse disorder. Discounted prices doesn't include the taking of lives. Hopefully the nightmare of it all will stay with them for the rest of their obviously sorry lives.
  8. File Name: Daring File Submitter: Hinchinbrooke File Submitted: 24 Nov 2008 File Category: Destroyers HMS Diamond, a Daring class destroyer, part of the RN's Suez force. See ReadMe for installation of main armament. Don't forget to put the decals in the right file. Click here to download this file
  9. Daring

Wilches, If you have a mission editor to hand, place Eagle and her aircraft in a suitable position, then clone Eagle and replace that object with the Daring......... then move the new object to somewhere close by............ and you should have a little task force.
  10. Daring

Gocad gets it! Essentially done, but needs paint (obviously) and setting up all those guns..................... so Two Weeks!
  11. Hopefully this link still works. Mustang has a series of tutorials building an aircraft in Max. http://www.bobsyouruncle.net/StrikeFighterHome.htm
  12. Happy Turkey Day

Deep frying your Turkey requires effort and time (plus large pot). Ours will see its final 'coherent' moments in the oven. Decent chips............. yum (especially with battered cod).
  13. Reverse engineering other people's models without permission will tend to make you unpopular. Your best bet for learning purposes is to take a look at one of the free models found all over the web, or asking another modeller, nicely, if they might share something.
  14. Allied naval cooperation, SEA, late '60's.....................
  15. Not quite. These were the last of the line, so to speak.
  16. Daring

Thanks chaps! Fortunately, with such a long history, there are a lot of Royal Navy ships to build. Keep plugging away I guess. Two weeks!......................... ( )
  17. Veltro dear boy!.................. go for it. Make us (and Gloster) proud!
  18. Don't have the OOB for Suez to hand, but this might come in useful. (disclaimer: very old model that, well,..... needs work)

  20. Yeah, I know, BUFF's gonna hate me............... but here's the Javelin as she stands. Actually she doesn't stand as the undercarriage isn't viable, so if anyone is interested in building a Javelin........ for us all......... feel free.
  21. I believe the A Team have the Scimitar, not the Swift. Whole different kettle of fish. As for the Harmonious Dragmaster (aka Javelin), I won't post a shot as it gives BUFF high blood pressure........... it's a continual work in progress. Anyone else feel free to build. I'd build the Sea Venom.......... but I only finish one plane in ten.
  22. Question for the decal gurus out there. Does anyone know if ship decals work post patch(es)? Prior to the October update, I had decals working quite happily and intended to put a couple on my upcoming Daring. Now, however, I get nothing. I did a quick search to see what's what and have checked file entries within the ship file.................. but I'm stumped. I certainly don't want to have to go back to painting numbers on as that's a real chore and doesn't look as good.
