Arrow back in dry dock. -
Used to build locomotives for MS Train Simulator. I love Big Steam. Show me a 4-8-4,.......... I'll happily go ga-ga! Unfortunately, MS Train Simulator is crap.

No just a standard 'as-built' Leander................. so you're going to have to pretend if you want some of the derivations! marianoranchos, I meant to add earlier that there a number of freeware programmes for modelling. Blender seems to be very popular. I use Anim8or, just because it's the first one I got to grips with and it's still supported................. has a site with forums. Fairly simple and could do with a few more features, but if you want to play around and learn it's just a quick simple download. -

Fubar, you know far more about the ins and outs of ground objects than I do. Getting guns, turrets and missiles pointing the right way is an achievement for me. -

Shipping is still pretty basic. I'll go with Fubar's answer as I haven't investigated such things. Getting all missile systems to work, along with guns would be a nice step forward. -

Hey Snapper, I fully intend to release her. Just a question of time. Cheers, Hinch -

I'll go with Seacat then. As for Glamorgan, changing the data.ini won't do anything as the Seacat launchers aren't set up for use (see earlier comment about just one functioning missile system). For now, Seaslug will have to be it. -
Happily using FF, but if Chrome has some special Pr0n mode.................... on second thoughts, B1ER mode, count me in.

Thanks. I suppose I should ponder Arrow's missile capability. Exocet or Seacat? Hmm. -

Having built Yarmouth and Glamorgan............ right now, no. Given the limitations of the TW series, only one missile system can work per ship. Glamorgan is setup to use Sea Slug, as that was her main system. As for Yarmouth, should TW come up with more flexibility with regard to ships and weapon systems, ........... well I might be encouraged to update things. I should have allowed Yarmouth/Plymouth to use Seacat, but for some reason (I can't remember) I didn't. -
Modern UK terrain?
Hinchinbrooke replied to mppd's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I think I might have had that....... although knowing me, and consumption of ales, it's hard to remember. -
Shame you're going in October. Just got this notice from RAF Museum Hendon

Plus they serve Badger's Tanglefoot in that neck of the woods. The place to be. -
When I used to work in London, rather than deal with the crowds around Buckingham Palace, I'd wander down to St. James's Palace and watch them changing guard there. Up close and personal. Of course, that was some 20 years ago, so security measures have probably messed things up.

Modding and Realism
Hinchinbrooke replied to a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
This is pure wankerism. You've made your point about accuracy/individual pits. The rarefied air up there must be something. But it doesn't matter what YOU think. Other people think differently.................... and people get on with it................ the community survives and we all move on. I drive a car................ I've played around with GTR Legends, etc., etc. Loadsafun, but it doesn't feel like a real car, because a computer with screen isn't a real car. I treat air stuff the same way. Fun, but I realize it can't possibly be the real thing,............... just like 'driving' a computer car doesn't feel real.
