  1. RED SOX WIN, RED SOX WIN!

I am still anxiously waiting to see if the Rockies can do it and the Padres fall short.
  2. Ok, I am ready... I think.... to do some basic alpha testing on this. I need just a couple volunteers for this. I will send you the link to download the campaign files. Right now it is just set up as a USN campaign. I will prob have three or four people... if that many are interested... check things out for a couple weeks and give me some feedback. WHile this is going on I can focus on the Libya map updates. Thanks

  5. Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts

OF is a great game. The new British units rock and have some really cool abilities. World in Conflict is a great game as well. RTS feel without the building.

  7. I have uploaded a second version today to update the Colorado ANG planes. I realized I had left the wrong skins in the folder and as such the Colorado ANG planes had no nation insignia. This has been rectified in the new version. Simply overwrite your previous skins. Sorry for the error.

  9. Just WOV right now but wanting to upgrade...
  10. This is a WIP. Tail Codes are being alpha channeled soon so I thought I would give a sneak peak. The final set will have 18 total planes to it. All tail codes historically accurate.
  11. I have found some pics of the Makos. I will see what I can do after I finsh my currents. The Makos are a Reserve unit not an ANG unit however.
  12. 188th FS "The Tacos" New Mexico ANG
  13. South Dakota Prior to operating the A-7D, the 175th Tactical Fighter Squadron operated F-100D/Fs from 1970 to 1977. F-100D 56-3187 wears the Vietnam era tactical camouflage and is presently preserved at the main gate.
  14. The tiles look fantastic. I know how much hard work you are putting into these so I am especially appreciative. I have been reworking the tiles for the Libya map update I am working on.
  15. I had not planned on it, but I can always look into it after I have finished the ones I am planning.... Colorado, Montana and New Mexico the famous "Rocky Mountain Coalition". 2/3rds of the "Rocky Mountain Coalition."
  16. Update on the progress.. Still need to clean up a little bit on the tail code decals but they should be done in the next couple days.
  17. How Come all Combat flight Sims are stuck in the WWII era...

I guess my arguments are being a little bit misintrepreted. I am not saying that a modern sim fighter game is not doable. I am saying it is difficult to make it doable with the "authenticity" that some if not many flight sim devotes expect. There are many people in the flight sim world that if it ain't exactly like it is in the actual world they don't wanna see it in a game. many game makers shy away from doing such things because they don't wanna get bashed by the hardcore "virtual" sim pilots that saw a video on the Military Channel and then get into a plane in a game and it isn't a perfect match. As far as the comments that have been posted about the Sr-71 Blackbirds. Those have all been recent things within the last few years and as noted by one stripped down versions. When the SR-71s were in fulloperation you never would have seen that. My brother was a engine mechanic on F-111s at Mountain Home AFB in Idaho. When the SR-71 would land there they would taxi straight from the runway to a hanger and the doors would be closed, guards positioned at all entrances. No I am not syaing modern fighters and planes are treated the same way but it is a far cry different from an operational plane to a display plane after they have been removed from service.
  18. Official 08' IRONMAN movie trailer

    that looks cool.
  19. How Come all Combat flight Sims are stuck in the WWII era...

Did you see inside? get inside? See flight controls and avionics? electronics? Outside close is one thing. Seeing the guts is another.
  20. To be 100% brutally honest. You are gonna get vultured in just about every server. If you are just starting tghis SIM there are players who have been playing for many many years online and they will pounce on you fast and hard. best bet if you want a good enjoyable fun enviroment hook up with other friends and fly co-op missions or a dogfight with friends your own skill level. Otherwise count on getting stomped hard online.
  21. That should be easy to do. When you open the .mis file for a given SP mission you should see something like this in there... This designates the "units" that are present in the mission. Scroll down until you find the unit. You should be able to edit the third to last entry to whatever oplane you like. Make sure you adjust the weapons as necessary to fit the new plane as well. The plane entry (bolded above) should math the plane folder name. Save it and it should work. I have never tried this before but it should work. Your other alternative is to open the mission builder (full not quick) and open the particular mission you wish to edit. Then find the unit and it's way point. Click on it, then change the plane type there. Save it and you are done.
  22. How Come all Combat flight Sims are stuck in the WWII era...

I know I am coming in as a late sally but...... You have to keep one other BIG thing in mind when asking for a modern flight sim..... NATIONAL SECURITY OF ALL COUNTRIES INVOLVED!!!! Many modern planes will never appear accurately with correct flight models, specs and electronics. Much of the equipment on these planes is at lowest "Confidential" information and protected by national security requirements. That doesn't even count the Secret and Top Secret information. It is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY difficult for game makers to get permissions to release even semi-accurate models of these planes to the general public. Many of these systems are state of the art and the general public is not in the need to know on their avionics, flight models, etc. Take the old SR-71s for a great instance. Everyone knew they existed, everyone knew what they were for, everyone knew what they looked like, and some basic performance characteristics but that was it. The rest was security controlled. Very rarely did they even sit in plain view to be photographed and if they were you couldn't get anywhere close to them.
