  3. F-111 Aardvark?

Also DO NOT forget to read the readme. You need to download the cockpits from a seperate location and there are some steps involved to get everything configured right so they will work in game correctly.
  4. Racing sims discussion?

I have not had the pleasure of doing a lot with the Formula BMW series but I do really enjoy the Toyota Atlantics. I suppose they are very close to the Formula BMW series. Either way I still sit and wait for the two mods to come out I am eagerly chomping at the bit for.
  5. Version Pack

I actually have considered a full install for the Libya Campaign I am working on. However, as mentioned above the problem comes in the "other modders" out there. Take for instance I asked one for permission to use something of theirs with a slight modification still giving full credit to the originator and got a full fledged "NO". Luckily I found a second source that was much more willing to help me and share their work. Total mod packs would be a great idea and I am going to do everything I can to make my Libya campaign a full install.
  6. The map that is out there has all the Libyan air bases in the incorrect positions. I have placed air bases closer to their correct locations and need to flatten the terrain for the bases. I can not find any tutorials or links to any. I have looked and maybe my google searches are not leading me to the right places.
  7. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autom...ode=sst&id=4972 File Name: Libyan Air Force MI-24 Hind File Submitter: {FL}Hausser File Submitted: 16 Jul 2007 File Updated: 9 Feb 2008 File Category: MI-24 Hind File Version: No Information Website: No Information MI-24 Hind skin creadted using the Tim Conrad template as posted by Skin is an original paint by me. Please do not reuse or redistribute without my permission. Install the skin directly into your ...Objects\Aircraft\MI-24 folder folder There appears to be some issues with the maping of the Hind skins. Outside pylons and oportions of the hull are mapped incorrectly and do not reflect properly. I can not fix this it is a mapping issue with the original HIND model. (Photo above was touched up slightly to reflect a proper mapping of the skin.) Click here to download this file
  8. It's not even the fact of blacked out windows it's the fact the door looks mirored and enlarged. At least I know it is not just me... or so I think. no biggie I suppose I will go ahead with my skin making and if it ever gets remapped it will be good to go.
  9. I have installed tghis into WOV but there seems to be texture maping errors Or am I doing something incorrectly. I followed the readme and installed where it was supposed to go, but every texture I have loads incorrectly. Any ideas on what is causing it? Is it just incompatible with WOv and not SFP1?
  10. Project Reality

PR has made BF2 a playable game for me again. I hate regular BF2 the game is so terrible, weapon accuracies suck major and the bunnyhop, run and gun stuff ruins game play. PR takes their ability away to RNG and BH. Makes game play slow down a lot more and team tactics are a must for you to be successful.
  11. It is the upgraded version3 by Wrench (modified from USAFMTL's original) Polak's Tile Set The editor doesn't crash the game itself crashes when it tries to load the map. Although in the Editor I never do get to see a Texture Field. When I View Texture Field it is just white. The game does not crash before i fiddle with the .hfd Wings Over Vietnam
  12. Racing sims discussion?

The FSOne 2006 - 2007 mod for RFactor has recieved some tremendous reviews from many in the sim racing community. It is actually the only F1 style mod I have driven, enjoiy and get a true sense of an F1 car from. I am a hardcore Rfactor fan and judge it to be one of the best out there. When RFactor 2 is released it will push it even further as the second version will feature changeable weather in addition to all the great features already in RFactor. Take that into consideration as well as the fact that many of the upcoming mods. This includes the Le Mans and Extreme Sports Car mods have actual series drivers doing the testing for the mods. RFactor may very well be a leading force in Sim Racing. The biggest problem with RFactor is some of the half put together mods that are released. You do need to have a discerning eye for some of the mods.
  13. Been there done that numerous times. I have tried just about every possible .ini file I can think of for the terrain. Nothing works. When I say every .ini I can think of it means I have tried the VietnamSEA.ini, VitenamSEA_data.ini, TextureListWOV.ini (came in TE), the Libya.ini, Libya_data.ini, TextureListDesert.ini (came in TE). Hell out of desperation I even tried the targets.ini files. I save the .hfd file and load the game. The game either crashes instantly when it attempts to load the map or loads to about 60% then crashes. I have even tried just loading the .hfd file, the cities.ini file and leveling airfields to make it simple. Instant crash yet again.
  14. I opened the VietnamSea.cat file. There is no terrain.ini file in there. Plenty of other .ini files but nothing listed as terrain.ini on anything_terrain.ini. I have already tried with the stock terrain.ini file that came with the editor program. Still crashes upon starting. I am guess I will just give up and scrap my planned campaign for Libya 1986. 4 days of trying with zero results is enough to drive me over the edge.
  15. A-12 Avenger

Yes. This was supposed to replace the A-6 Intruder.
  16. Where do I find the dang texture files? It asks for a .ini file for the texture but I have no idea where to look. I have exported a map (the .hfd file) to a .bmp file, smoothed and edited it so all airports will be flat, import it back in and the damn map still crashes every time. I tried openiong the cities up and saving it... crash. I have never been able to locate a terrain.ini file. Where is that at? If someone could please help. I am about to go nuts on this.
  17. Runway or Carrier deck most definately. Gives a more complete feel to the flight sim.
  18. I am currently in the final stages of building a campaign using the Libya map in a 1986 setting. I have allocated approximately 23 ground units (give or take) to take part in teh ground war for Libya. The question I have is do they all show up or only some? At current I can see only 3 of the units. I know it is not a problem with unit types as I really only used about 6 different types of units and I see one of them but not another. Am I doing something wrong or will more show uop as the campaign progresses. ALL my air units show, both friendly and enemy. Some help in understanding this would be appreciated. Thanks. Areas circled in red should have enemy units.
  19. No need to bother. I found all their squadron information at Globalsecurity.org The information may not be 100% but between the three websites I'm using for reference material I should be just fine.

  22. Now don't go getting yourself or anyone in trouble. I can just use fictious unit names. No need to cause an international incident over a game.
