Funny you mention that.Growing up in the 80's I started out on Squad Leader and Ambush!Love those games but also played Battletech.I still have the box game.I also have Battle Troops,Clan Troops,the Mechwarrior RPG book which can be integrated into the Battletech box game.Ahhh,if only Fasa would be resurrected from the grave.I loved Shadowrun and have the box game for that to.I have 3 shelves of bookcase wargames still.

I have tried installing this campaign per the instructions above using SF2 Europe and Israel.I followed the directions exactly and also updated using the 1.02 update.When I run the game using either install The Dragon campaign doesn't show up in game.Its as if the mod isn't activated and I know I did everything right.I checked my Users\Saved Games\ThirdWire game folder and it is there but it doesn't work.Help is appreciated.

Happy to report that per Spectre8750's suggestions the campaign is now fully working for me.It also did not help that when I installed the E-2C and E3 Lods,I copied the whole skunkworks E-2C and ODS E-3 into Spectre8750's mod folder and that probably corrupted his version used in the campaign. Thanks a bunch for an awesome campaign! BTW I did not know the F-35B's VTOL capability was modeled in the sim even though I'd been flying the Harriers with VTOL modeled in the Malavinas mod for a few years now.It was cool using the vectored thrust and seeing the engine actually switch into VTOL mode from an external view.

Well a 500rd box wouldn't last me all day.I was referring to general shooters who don't shoot all that much. Out here in the west I can pick up a 500-550rd box of 22lr for $9-$14 depending on where you shop.I have the GSG-5 as well.My son loves it.I have been eyeballing those 22lr Scar's though.Pretty good deal for under $500.

A full auto (Class III) MP-5 is nowhere near $80K.They run in the $10,000-$25,000 range.If your state allows class III the cheapest SMG to get into would be an Mac-11/10 series,Uzi,etc.They all require a $200 federal tax stamp,paperwork,fingerprinting,and several months wait to get the green light.Contrary to popular belief by the media and those not in the know,assault weapons(full auto,not semi-automatic sporting rifles that are often called assault weapons) are not easy to obtain and you need to have a good chunk of change to own them.

I did a fresh install and do have the current patch.I installed part 1 and 2 of taiwan,then the lods for the E2,E3,and the F-16 Netz.Then I applied the 1.02 Taiwan update.I noticed when entering the campaign that FPS is very slow and the sounds are laggy.If I hit F6 and pan to a few aircraft and then back to mine that issue is solved.Its when I get shot down or end a mission that I go to a black screen that never ends unless I exit out.I am running Win 7 x64,Amd Phenom with 6gb or ram on a Nvidia GTS 250.All drivers are current.

Very good stuff indeed.Mine was for MG's,had to de-link it by hand.I wish it wasn't so expensive now.Used to get a 200rd can for like $40.Now its triple higher.

Falcon you should post a pic of your Cetme.I know the ones that were painted realtree camo used to have the original wood furniture but were painted camo.You can always strip the wood and redo it to its natural color.

I also have one,its a Bushmaster. As far as class III full auto stuff you don't need a bullet hose to have fun.You can get into a semi-auto MP5 clone for about $1000-$1200.The American Tactical Imports MP-5's in 22lr (GSG-5)run $450 and are a lot of fun if your on a budget.Add a 500rd box of 22lr ammo for about $9 and you have a day of fun in the woods or at the gun range.They also make a 110rd drum magazine for these now for $100.

I don't see the logic in airsoft guns when most of them cost as much as or even more then the real thing that shoots lead.A much better investment and is actually capable of a lot more fun factor unless you live in an anti-gun state or a messed up country. Lets do the math, Decent airsoft rifle $300-$600 Real M4 rifle from several manufacturers $600-$900 Save your money and buy the real thing.

I used to own one.Here in the states they are produced from ex-spanish military parts kits by Century Arms.Mine shot great for a few months but then it started to have issues.The welds done by CA were very poor internally.Several of the welds where the take down pins near the butt stock are broke free and it started to jam constantly.Also the paint that they use to finish the rifle started to flake off.I promptly sold it. To answer your questions you may want to hunt down an H&K G3 stock set.They require minor modification to fit the Cetme rifles.There used to be a gentleman several years ago that had a website and modded the G3 stocks to fit.He even had the H&K G3 fat forends modified to fit Cetmes.They came in black or OD green.You could also acquire the standard wood stock,black pistol grip,and wood forend for the rifle to get rid of the tree camo. As far as the finish you are best off buying a product called Gun-Kote or Duracoat and redoing the rifle.It is very durable when applied correctly.They both come in a multitude of different colors to suit anyone. I reinstalled the mod folder 3 times.hile I can start it now I can't seem to fly F-35's,F-15's,or the merc F-16A.Also after the campaign mission as ended I get a black screen and have to alt/tab out and quit the game.Odd because I did everything requested.I even got the LOds for other aircraft as instructed.

Nope,now it crashes when starting a campaign mission.Sadly,this campaign is not usable due to severe issues with it.I would advise the creators to take a look at it.

I fixed it.The Options.INI needs to be updated in your mod folder for this campaign in your "users/saved games" folder.Name it to whatever "user" you are in your Windows folder as there is a default one for in the Options.INI.Also the campaign line needs to be updated to "The Dragon" campaign and not Red Thunder.

CFS3 runs fine.XP compatibility mode no longer works in Vista sadly.After SP1 or 2 MS somehow broke it.This has been documented on a lot of forums.Compatibility doesnt work for me.I do run as administrator though.

That statement really makes no sense considering Phase 2 turned into 3 in a short period of time.Has to be the same code.You also stated that there was a "help or how to" thread on getting this to work and that it did work on Vista.Why has it vanished and not been put back up?
