Hi community, Just a couple of minor issues, looking for the more wiser ones in the community to help me. OK, here goes, I'm getting very deeply into Wings Over Vietnam, absolutely loving everything about it, but (unless it's my imagination) there seems to be too many enemy airbases around? Am I losing it? Whatever mission type I fly, seem to get an airbase right near it. Sure there weren't that many fixed bases in the real conflict. Is there an add-on that will increase the number, and the visibility of the SAM launches please? And finally: I seem to be having a problem with the weapons editor. Am I correct in assuming that when you modify a weapon quantity, it re-writes a weapons.dat file? I've found with ALL of my Thirdwire sims that if the weapons.dat file is there, no weapons will show. Hi community, With all this talk of the dreaded eel infestation, I was wondering if there was any Eel Seeking Missiles on the way in a weapons pack? Got shot down over 'nam the other day, and those damned critters made my escape and evasion tough work......

Hi community, Loving these sims more and more with all of the latest updates! I want to do a little .ini modding, but I'm not sure where to start. I have already edited my huddata.ini etc, and have the sim about 90% of where I would like it to be. All I want to mod now is the window size (Transparent grey area) for some of the on-screen displays. I am currently running with: 1. Wingman Commands 2. Radio Message text 3. Target data (bottom r/h side of the screen) I find that I really do need number three in place, but I have reduced the font sizes to Arial 6, and I would like to modify the box accordingly. Hi community, I hate to ask about the possibility of new aircraft etc, because I know it can seem impatient and p*ss people off, this is not my intention, purely curiosity. So, I'll ask: 1. Any progress details on the SU-24 Fencer? 2. Is there / will there be a Saab Viggen or Bucaneer in the works? Two of my all time favourites. Thanks to all as usual, Andy.

Hi community, Today, I celebrated reaching 42 years of age, and my third month of unemployment. :-( Despite this, I have maintained my sanity through actually getting my nose down and adding some of these fantastic mods to our sims, and I have to say, I have been blown away. Currently, I am using "Danger Bering Straits", and the "Falkland Islands" mod for SFP1. Now, kudos to the Falklands mod, how DID you guys do the tracers between shells on the helos? It looks awesome! I can see that these sims are just going to keep getting better and better. Now to my questions; 1. With the Falklands mod, the Gazelle is hell to fly, but the A109 is a dream. Is there an updated flight model for the Gazelle please? 2. Do I need to leave the default aircraft in the sim? On a single mission in the Falklands I got fragged by an F-4E. 3. Are there slightly better 3D clouds I can install, as per SFP1? 4. When I use the "F6" view, I am always having to zoom in. Is there a way in the .inis to reset the view zoom so it is closer? 5. What other mods should I try? I have Strike Fighters and Wings Over Europe Sorry for so many questions, but as usual, thanks in advance. Andrew.

Hi community, First off, Dave, sorry for previous posts in wrong area. OK, to work: Community, does anybody use an nHancer profile with this sim, or can you help me with one please? I've got the sim running real nice, but the colours look a little "washed out". I've taken a few screenies and just a simple "Levels Correction" fixes this up beautifully, but I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of my AA and AF settings. As usual, all replies appreciated. Andrew.

Man, I am sorry about all of this. I just created a new profile for the sim, but don't look so good. Could you please tell me your settings, and whether you use gamma correction? I'm off to bed, 2AM here. Thanks again Andrew.

MigBuster; Please disregard all of my previous posts above, I've gotten a handle on it all now. Many thanks. One last question, but I don't think there is a fix as such for this though: In game, the colours look a little "washed out" if you know what I mean. I took some screenshots, and just did a colour correction with Microsoft Digital Imaging Suite, that's all I did, a "Levels Fix". Anyway, the resultant screenies look awesome, close to photreal. What I would like to know is if I can somehow tone that washed out look down in the sim itself. It might even be something as simple as an Nhancer profile for the game. Any ideas? MigBuster, I took all of your advice, I uninstalled the game completely, did a registry cleanup and defragged, and then reinstalled the vanilla sim. Same problem I'm afraid, the water looks, well, like mud really, no reflections, and to put it nicely, the clouds are a joke. Jacked up my resolutions etc (have a fairly gutsy PC) and patched to the latest. So, I guess what I should ask: 1. What are the best water and cloud textures available? 2. I have Deuces Effects 1 and 2, OK to install these? 3. OK to install Widesky? 4. What is regarded as the best quality tiles for the default Germany terrain? once again, thanks for all your help. Hi community, I'd like a little help with a few "issues" with my modding the sim (WOE) if you will. I have installed all of the latest patches and updates, I've got a fairly capable system, but I've been getting some really weird issues; 1. Some aircraft (YF-23 as example) start a takeoff roll, and then their canopies open, at speed. I have been unable to close this even after re-mapping keys. 2. I have re-installed Fubars WoE Shader effects, but now have no reflections from water at all. 3. I have installed Widesky, and well, since the last patch, the sky looks "fake". Any reccomendations for sky / cloud add ons? 4. Have installed "New Forests germany" tileset, and it seems that a lot of the trees have "coulouring" missing. 5. If I run the Weapons Editor, change ANY variable at all, I find myself with no weapons at all! I have version 11_08_04. Thanks in advance all. Andrew.
