I checked the out column5 site and apparently there's word that NATO Fighters III is also bound to be released.. Could you please tell us something more about it if possible? Thanks a lot. Cheers!
  2. As you may already know: Both the Eurofighter Typhoon & the F-16 Falcon carry similar armanment. both use AIM-120 AMRAAM & AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles... the only difference being that the F-16 uses a GE 20mm Vulcan cannon, and the Eurofighter uses a Mauser 27mm BK27 cannon... Since most fighter jets have similar avionics & armanment: What's preventing game publisher's from designing a new sim with modern jets... I understand that they may have to limit the number of flyable aircraft but then again I'm sure a good MODERN jet combat sim about 10-14 well detailed flyable jets with a good flight model & semi realistic avionics shouldn't bee too hard to design...
  3. Could you please translate that into ordinary English if you don't mind? Thanks...
  4. Could you post some links where these mods are available? Thanks..
  5. I think why sims are stuck in the WWII era is because a) Info is easier to get since 99.9999% is not classified. b) Easier to make avionics for it, gauges and dials are much simpler to simulate than a side scan radar system with look down shoot down capability paired with datalink systems. Yes that's true. It's much eaier to get access to the info of each plane's performance in order to simulate them in a realistic manner with regard to World War II aircraft as well as some of the Vietnam War & Cold War aircraft, as most of them have been withdrawn from front-line military service. But then again, most combat fight sims nowadays, if not all, have a VERY SIMILAR choice of aircraft,(since most of them are placed in WWII), similar features & there's nothing extraordinarily unique about each of them.. they're all basically the same except that they're released by different compaies.. Even arcade-style flight "sims" like Secret Weapons Over Normandy, Blazing Angels, Attack On Pearl Harbor & Heroes of The Pacific are still stuck in the WWII era... One probable reason why the popularity of flight have drastically declined in contrast to shooters, RPG's & strategy games is the fact that most of them do not proceed further than WWII and as for those that do, they halt at Vietnam... And as someone mentioned earlier someone ought to design a sim like ATF or Fighters Anthology, but with a FAR SUPERIOR graphic engine, a good flight model & at least semi-realistic avionics.... (I think this is the third time i'm posting this..)

  8. I don't have to say this, but as you already know; for ANY TYPE Of the P.C. games released over the past 5 years, be it Simulation, Racing, Strategy, RPG or Shooter, you need a PC with AT LEAST the following specifications in order to play the game properly with accdeptable graphic standards.. Pentiun IV 1.4 Ghz. at least a 128 MB graphics card at least 256 MB RAM... Unless someone has a at least a system with the above specs he/she need't even bother purchasing any game released over the past 5 years....
  9. It's possible to do that using the full missiom builder??? Excellent!!!!! Is it possible make non flyable aircraft especially the ones mentioned in the list player flyable in the quick mission builder? if so how? Thanks Cheers!
  10. Yeah.. but what about Games Like Jane's F-15 , Israeli Air Force, USAF, and WOE? the avionics in these games are well simulated & the latter 3 games have at least 7 flyable jets...
  11. OH PLEASE!!!!!!! Enough!!! Why not make a game based on Jane's USAF or WoE but with a superior graphic engine, better flight model & of course a fine choice of aircraft.... Games like jane's USAF were designed with a different flight model for each je plus well simulated avionics.. I don't think there's any question of a breach in national security by designing new jet-age combat sims...
  12. Look for SoW:BoB and its descendants to change that, though. Yes.. That's the only thing we can hope for.. Sow:BoB's descendants.. not for SoW though..... because by the name of the game, it sounds like the only flyable aircraft will be early model Messerschmitts, Spitfires, Hurricanes and perhaps an FW190, with regard to fighters. And with regard to bombers, onlyDorniers, Junkers & Heinkels...
  13. All right, Fine, Thanks, but is this what you meant? The above mentioned aircraft can only be flown in multiplayer missions and not in any of the single player missions and quick missions... i have another question? is it possible to add another flyable aircraft to single missions which permit you to fly only one type of aircraft? eg. Is it possible to add a player flyable F6F Hellcat to an existing single mission which permits you to fly only an F4F Wildcat? Thanks again. Cheers!
  14. Why not??? medium bombers like the He111, Ju88, A-20 Havoc & B-25J Mitchell are flyable & the heavy bombers mentioned earlier are just larger versions of their medium bretheren...... If it's the difference in bombsights & gun turrets, all American heavy & medium bombers used the Norden bombsight & 50 caliber M2 machine guns for defence right? I still don't understand why the TB-3 is the only flyable heavy bomber... in fact I seriously doubt it had anything worth calling a combat record....... Besides In all games of the Il2 series every plane is detailed to the dot... it's a crying shame that all of them (at least the most famous of the war like the above mentioned) aren't flyable while certain aircraft with obsolete designs like the TB-3 and sadly the F2A Buffalo (which was swatted like a fly by the A6M Zero) are flyable...
  15. Yes what you say is true... Its choice of flyable fighter aircraft is pretty good... But unfortunately I can't say the same for its choince of flyable bombers: The best heavy bombers of the war: i.e. the B-17, B-24 & B-29 remain AI controlled aircraft & the only flyable "heavy" bomber is that antiquated rustbucket called the Tupolev TB-3... I'ts supposed to be a 4-engined heavy bomber but caries only a 2000lb bomb load.. Single engined fighters like the Spitfire, Mustang & the P-47 could also carry the same bomb load... If there's going to be an Il2:1946 update I sure hope they make at least the REAL heavy bombers flyable...
  16. Does this feature work only for IL2: 1946? I'm asking because i tried the same for Pacific Fighters but there was no aircraft list like the one you described in any of the .mis files..

  18. Thanks a lot for your suggestions... Will there be interiors i.e. (Cockpits & gunner positions) modeled For the above aircraft sometime in the future in order to make these aircraft flyable by default?
  19. Yes, It's good The choice of flyable fighter aircraft is impressive; Mustangs, Spitfires, Hellcats.. Messerscmitts, Focke Wulf's.. just about everything The only possible drawback is that the only flyable heavy bomber is an antiquated rustbucket called the Tupolev TB-3 while the best heavy bombers of the war, like the B-17, B-24 & B-29 remain computer (AI)controlled aiicraft..
  20. Hi Everyone, I'm new here..however i really appreciate the work you guys are doing...I'm especially impressed by the new jets for Wings Over Europe... But under the F-22 section there isn't any file for download.. Is there an F-22 available for Wings over Europe???? There's one in the MarcFighters site under development but it's been a couple of weeks now and it still isn't available for download... can someone pleaase do something about it ASAP??? Thanks. Cheers!
  21. Thanks lot for your reply........... However.. You may have noticed a couple of screenshots of an F-22 in our Forum Gallery under the 'Member Gallery' section.. on page 4 of the same... i think it's (most likely) a WoE screenshot.. Thanks. Cheers!
