The sharp end of a Javelin...WIP for Veltro's Super Jav. -
Lol ! I'm quite happy to be able to count backwards, just like Helen Mirren in 2010 I can actually understand the cyrillic alphabet and it's pronounciation and can say the words as I read them, but obviously I don't know what 99.9% of it actually means !

Keep it up guys I always wanted to learn Russian.

Yes I'd like a go with it. Cheers, but I can't do anything decal wise til I get the full model etc ! cough cough -
Yes it's really quite amazing how far we've progressed in such a relatively short space of time. One thing though, two major world wars and all the other conflicts around the globe have helped to spurr that development on. Whatever your feelings about war and conflict you cannot deny it gives impetus to many scientific fields. I suppose it seems that we've slowed our development down in a sense but in reality we haven't. It's just progressing along different lines, medicine, genetics, cyberindustry etc. As for space exploration I doubt whether we will ever see anything like the 60's space race again. That must have been such an exciting and heavy time to have lived through. Looking forward to the pinnacle of putting a Man on the Moon and being faced with possible nuclear conflict...heady days indeed. Personally I regard the Apollo programme as one of the defining acheivements of the Human Race, no matter what political intrigue kickstarted it into action. I'm looking forward the the Ares flights (when they start in 2014) and seeing Man back on the Moon (unless our Chinese friends get there first...good luck to whoever manages it next). Then hopefully Mars before I start to go grey. Who knows what will happen, maybe a radical breakthrough in Physics and\or propulsion technology will provide a new platform for manned exploration. The more I think about it the more I'm excited by the time we live in right now. Sure it's dangerous and has it's demons (whatever period in history did not ?) but things are moving so fast in so many fields it's hard not to feel a little pride in Mankinds accomplishments. And that's the big picture isn't it. Just ask anyone who's slipped the surly bonds of Earth. We live on a little oasis of a planet in the biggest and most awe-inspiring desert you can imagine. Out there is where we're destined to go one day and who knows what language the those brave and intrepid explorers will speak? It'll still be us though, Mankind. So yes, we've come a long way and should give ourselves a slap on the back. It's not been easy. The future won't be either...but it'll be fun getting there won't it !

Yes that's true. I would love one, but I haven't really got the space, not even for the cockpit alas. The person below me thinks they've got what it takes to be King of the World, Lord of all they see and generally thinks the sun shines out of it.

Nice work but I must admit the thought of "communist Britain" makes me feel unclean. I'm off for a bath after that. Cheers Alfie. -

Go for it ! Always looking for enhancements, cheers. -
False. Mind you, there's nothing wrong in having the odd Katy Perry moment. ------------------------------------------------------------------- The person below me has been to hospital with an embarrassing injury.

More Razbam A-6s
Syrinx replied to Fubar512's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Sure is. The Raz A6 cockpit as Foobs says is sublime. The only minor irritation for me is the sound, sounds like my vac cleaner at full tilt (however, this might be accurate as I've never witnessed an A6 in real life). -
Reverse automatic deployment
Syrinx replied to Rodent's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I reset all my canopies to manual and generally speaking I have no problems...apart from the odd surprise of being engaged at 500 kts with an enemy fighter with his canopy wide open (rarely happens but when it does it only seems to affect the enemy flight leader, all others ok). Maybe I missed one or two, dunno. As far as swing wings or other animations are concerned everything is ok after the patch in my installs. Just lucky I guess -
False. I love flying WW2 fighters or anything with a prop. The more torque the better I say. --------------------------------- The person below me needs a cushion to sit on whilst driving.

Super ! Thanks Veltro. -
I like that attitude Jug. About the uber-plastic-surgery woman. I've seen those pics many times and others worse to boot. Everyone has a reason why they do something, even if it means spending thousands to end up looking like that. Self esteem is a funny thing. I'm definately in the "you play the hand you were given" camp. It is kind of sad for that lady because there was nothing wrong with her looks in the 70's. I guess some people have too much money and too much time on their hands. Where do you stop though if you take that route ? A nip here, facelift, botox ad infinitum ad nauseum. I feel that people who actually carry on with too much plastic surgery are inherently unhappy inside anyway and this is a misguided way of trying to feel better. Maybe it works for them and that's why they continue. At the end of the day it's each to his\her own...they are adults after all. You pays your money and you takes your consequences.

Interesting site. Thanks for the heads up. -
Well done and congratulations !

Hey, I did and I like it. Graphics wise it's dated but I can definately see the appeal it had and still has. UI is very good and atmospheric. In fact it has spurred me on to fly and appreciate FE more as I didn't bother with the Nov Patch. Now I have I'm really enjoying the action. I guess in a way it's like the people who still fly EAW (I've never even seen a copy never mind ever played it) they swear by it and if it weren't for these classics I suppose we wouldn't have the games we have today.

Revenge ! Usually isn't it the girl who gives the guy ear ache lol !

That was fun ! Well done too. Just makes me think what an absolutely amazing film Footfall would be if some company were brave enough to do it properly.
