You know what... you get this mental image of a tough guy who can handle himself, takes no bull etc. Then what...he gets out his GI Joe and What is it about boys and their toys?...err sorry, collectables!

  5. Prepare to be amazed

Sorry, yes the predecessors were a different race. Maybe a Freespace mod with Micheal, digit ships and big mama ! That I'd pay for ! anyway, back OT...
  6. Prepare to be amazed

Oh I hope not ! Anyway, didn't the Fithp thuktun say that the predecessors were not like them ?
  7. name that...eh...whatever

I thought it was the mutant skunk from hell
  8. I totally agree with Kukulino...you'll get them all in the end ! Personally my heart lies with WoV, but with WoE I can fly for the RAF (woot... go boys!), WoI allows me to be a pilot in the IDF, probably the best fighter pilots in the world. Certainly has improved my knowledge of the Middle East conflict...it's prompted me to go swat up and buys some books about it. How did I miss this theatre ? It's all down to personal preference eliahu2006, go for which one feels right to you.
  9. You've got to have that aviation passion in you to fully appreciate combat flight sims, or any flight sim for that matter. Unless you are truly into something, you certainly won't invest the time to do it properly. Most of my friends will say, yeh that looks cool let's have a go...and after five minutes of wallowing all over the sky they'll get bored and say don't know how you can stand doing that so much. Flightsims are a specialist niche, just like mountain climbing, angling, crafting or any other pastime you could mention. Enjoy these sims, enjoy the graphics, enjoy the history they re-write, enjoy the admiration for the guys & gals who do it for real and those guys who did it way back when, whatever their nationality. There isn't a pilot who doesn't love flying, and minority that get disillusioned loved it once. So, if you read a dodgy review...smile and raise one eyebrow if you can, safe in the knowledge that you'll know more than the mork who wrote that ever will. After all, it's what you think that matters, no-one else !
  10. After a break away from all things flightsimmy\computery (been back in the world ) for a while I'm ready for another tour of duty in 'nam. Anyone know if mppd got round to doing his magic on the Razbam A1E ?
  11. Happy Birthday to USAFMTL

All the best Dave. Have a good 'un !
  12. Buccaneer

Here's something for all the Brits
  13. Buccaneer

You can't beat a bit of IFR. Keeps you sharp, even if it is only in sim. Zero visibility, crosswinds, rain...bring it on !
  14. Happy Easter!

Any festival that involves chocolate is ok by me
  15. Very nice Roberto. F4J CAP 1971
  16. Craig I've said it before but I'll say it again. Absolutely effing outstanding ! Brings a little tear to my eye. Super-stuff.
  17. Happy Birthday......

All the best Tank ! Many happy returns
  18. I find that a lot of the targets in YAP are now hidden by trees, that's a good thing in my book. Especially troops and guns etc. A touch of unintentional realism. Great stuff !
  19. Required Reading...

If you like helo's, then Snake Pilot by Randy Zahn should be on your list. Great insight into flying the AH1-G Cobra in Vietnam. Likewise the classic Chickenhawk by Robert Mason. A Huey Slick pilot in Vietnam. Both superb reads.
  20. The Official Chuck Norris CA Thread

The Face on Mars is an indentation made when Chuck Norris slammed the head of an enemy into the red planets soil, this was after Chuck became the first Man on Mars (1986).
  21. Thanks..you gotta love the Foo's ! That's called a standard approach for me.
  22. Hi Oded, welcome to CA! 1. No key for rear view, use the mirrors if your system can handle it ! Or F6 external and look behind you that way. 2. Fuel...use the cockpit gauge. Ammo...hmm, sneak an external peek ! 3. You can fly straight to the target if you wish. Press W until the waypoint indicator is on the triangle target marker on the map view (M). Waypoints are how it's done in real life. You can move them in the planning map ! 4. Press Tab, this brings up the wingman orders. Select Wingman, 4. rejoin.
