Today (August 20th 2011) as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team returned to land after a display, one of the first-year pilots, Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging lost his life as his T-1A Hawk crashed into a field near Bournemouth Airport. Aircraft enthusiasts everywhere (myself included) will feel the pain of this loss. Rest in peace, Flight Lieutenant Egging. Per Ardua Ad Astra.
