Here is a lot of info on how to Overclock your PC, I have tried Overclock PCs for over 3 years with not much different in performs, but I know a lot of people think that Overclock makes there computer a a lot fastest. For example I overclock my Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 2.93GHz to 3.4GHz, and it didn't make any real different what ever game I play so I put the X6800 back it's normal speed. If you would like to try overclocking your Rig check out the link. Note be WARNED if your computer is under a WARRANTY overclocking will void any warranty you have on your systerm. http://www.wikihow.com/Overclock-a-PC

Nvidia GeForce Release 175 Display Driver released
Fleet Command CC posted a topic in Hardware/Software Chat
Nvidia has release a new display driver, and it supports all the GeForce 6, 7, 8, and 9 series GPUs including these newly released GPUs. I have tried it on a old XFX GeForce 7600GT 256MB PCI-E DDR3, and the driver worked fine on that card. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winxp_175.16_whql_uk.html Give the new driver a try. -
WHOA! Windows XP Service Pack 3!
Fleet Command CC replied to pcpilot's topic in Hardware/Software Chat
I have tried SP3, because I had to reinstall my OS, I though there may be a big problem with SP3 because. Went I come to update via Microsoft Update Home, SP3 update and install fine but went I come to install the other update like. Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0: x86 (KB829019) Root Certificates Update Windows Media Player 11 ATI - Sound - ATI Function Driver for High Definition Audio - ATI AA01 ATI Technologies Inc. - Video - ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT They downloaded OK but they would not install, I found this odd the problem was I hadn't install the Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1, so no other update would be install. If you have to reinstall XP all you need to remember is always click on Custom via ( http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupd...t.aspx?ln=en-us ) and then other update so you get the Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 install before you download and install SP3. ( This is what I didn't do the first time I tried SP3) If you make sure you do the above you shouldn't have any problems with SP3 well I haven't has yet. A little note for people like my friend down my road. You don't need SP3 if your computer is currently up to date, with window automatic updates. SP3 is for went you need to reinstall XP, downloading and installing SP3 will saves you having to download and install 90+ updates patches, they are all in one with SP3 now, but you can still download the 90+ patches if you have problems with SP3. -
Would you like to turn Google Earth into your very own flight sim, is really easy. Just follow these simple steps Download the latest version of Google Earth if you don't already have it - that's "version 4.2". You can get it free for PC and Mac at http://earth.google.com/. Load up Google Earth as usual, click on the globe, and hold down CTL + ALT + A. This will bring up a dialog box allowing you to choose a plane, and a runway ... and get flying! If you have a Mac, press Apple + Option + A. It's been discovered that some PCs require you to hold down CTL + WINDOWS + A instead of what we have above - so if it doesn't work first time, try the alternative keys. The plane can be controlled by the keyboard. The full controls can be found at http://earth.google.com/intl/en/ userguide/v4/flightsim/index.html. It also works with mouse, joystick or plug-in joypad, like the one we used on the show. Once you've activated it, the Flight Sim can be entered and exited through the Flight Simulator option in the TOOLS menu, allowing you to change plane and airport. Happy flying!

Mad Doc Software has been bought by Rockstar Games
Fleet Command CC posted a topic in Hardware/Software Chat
This might be the end of strategy games from Mad Doc. Or you could say the buy out means one of two things. Mad Doc will never do another RTS game again because Rockstar is a more hands on maul everything you can kind of company. Or it means Rockstar wanted the tools from Mad Doc to step into the RTS field. Check out the link. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3167272 -

Microsoft is to release a XP SP 3 that you can buy, which I think should be good, because this will save us XP users from having to download about 100+ patches. Niceone Mr Gates, but may I say it's about time, XP SP2 is about 4 years old now. http://www.pcpitstop.com/news/journey.asp
