  1. notice the ''x'' in the topic name,it means i dont really know yet what the name is going to be.

    so.im starting this project.its an F-16 wich just had a fight with photoshop CS3,this is what came out;

    not every detail is on the blueprint.i still have to modify front,top and bottom with photoshop.

    i still need some skinners,and someone who knows alot about ini files and all that stuff.

    it will have the exact prestations as the F-16 we have today.only the lenght width and the ærodinamics are different.also the equipment is the same.but personally i think it will look alot more modern.

    im very experienced with 3D Studio Max 2009(im a modder)so it wont be hard to model it,animate it and link it together.

    though,im bussy with another project(F-15T).so this wont be racing towards finishing.

    feel free to be critic and please share ideas.

    please dont mind my bad english.

  2. Good, do this Jes, Im not sure how thrust vectoring nozzles should be coded so the have to be left like normal ones for now.

     

    Can anyone help with INI?

    the nozzle are in 4 parts :P,im not sure if that will work in-game.maybe they must be 2 solid parts.

    and ehhh............ill be out of service,because my computer kinda crashed for the 3rd time this year(dont ask me what i do on that thing :D)


  3. Ok we discussed few things with Jes. Right now we have to properly name model groups so they can be coded right into INI file. I just asked FastCargo for permission to use INI files from his F-15 ACTVIE, if he agrees well have a lot easier job.

     

    If someone spots a mistake or can give helpful comment we are all ears

     

    The following components will be in our plane (I looked at FastCArgo INI):

     

    -FUSELAGE- model name "Fuselage"

    -NOSE - model name "Nose", parrent "Fuselage"

    -LEFTWING - model name "Left_Wing", parrent "Fuselage"

    -RIGHTWING - model name "Right_Wing", parrent "Fuselage"

    -LeftCanard - modelname "LeftCanard", parent "Fuselage"

    -RightCanard - modelname "RightCanard", parent "Fuselage"

    -RightVertTail - model name "Right_VTail" parrent "Fuselage"

    -LeftVertTail - model name "Left_VTail" Parrent "Fuselage"

     

    This are parts Im sure what are they, but there are some that I dont fully understand:

     

    "LeftStab" and "RightStab" - I think they are stabilizers, am I right?

    "RightOuterWing" and "LeftOuterWing" - what part of wings they are?

     

    Besides in every component entry there is lots of stuff that is complete Voodo Dark Magic for me, like this (taken From ACTIVE INI):

     

     

     

    ANy idea what this stuff is?

    ill check the names and parents


  4. Dude... not sure you read the title page.. the header.. the topics... heck.... the whole forum but this is a WWI based forum.. dealing specifically with aircraft... not anything close to cars aside from the old Model T we used to have in our game.

     

    BUT... if you want, you can try our modelers and skinners section. I don't know if that will help.

  5. well,my pc crashed.it has happened before,i think another fault in the system.dont worry,the f15t is not lost....maybe.it really sucks because the project is going to be delayed for even longer.

    im now working on my backup pc(i have 2 computers).3ds max is also on this one.but not the f15 tactical.if everything is repared allright,the f15t should be still intact.if not.....we'll have to start the whole project over again.


  6. And remember Jes you are the one who makes model, if you find that something looks particarly ugly feel free to change it. My (rough) sketches leave room for your own initiative (I was even surprised that there is so much place for gear). And its hard to show you how do I imagine intakes (to be honest I dont see them to clearly in my vision), when I find some time Ill put bottom sketch, maybe this will help you.

    well i saw there was a little bit space left for the landing gear so ill try that,ill make the gear a bit shorter and the animation wont be to hard i think.but offcourse we first need to finish the xf15.
