  1. Battle of Cambrai - Stock

    I've been playing for about a couple of months, an hour or so a week... I play with all set as hard. I have not tried the Allies yet, just Jasta5 campaign for Battle of Cambrai. I just can't seem to shake off the swarm of Brits coming after me!!
  2. Peter01's FM and the May patch

    So, I went ahead and installed Peter's FM, and boy it's like starting over again!! I kept loosing control of the plane, stalling and crashing, what a change from the stock FM. I am in shock, I feel like I have never played this before and I am just learning :) Any tips?

    Hey Quack, thanks! I don't have any add-on planes (yet), only playing with stock ones for now... are these Peter01's FMs a vast improvement from the stock planes? PS. I figured out my knownaces default skin issue... kinda embarrasing actually
  4. Hey Quack, I read over at Thirdwire's forum that you are working on a campaign. Quick question for ya, is the easiest way to assign the correct pilots for a specific Jasta to add them all as knownaces? I guess the hard thing about this is to get all the correct names of the pilots of a specific Jasta during a specific period of time...

    I think I got the settings as you mention them right, but it don't work :) I have the D5_170 as specified in the campaign.ini for the stock cambrai 1917 campaign see below. Then, the skins in the D5_170 folder I created under objects/aircraft, and finally the info for jasta5 on the DATA.ini I posted above.     Hi Quack, sorry to bother you, but I can't figure it out!! :( This is what I have in my campaign_DATA.ini but only the default texture shows up for the known aces in the loadout screen for the paint scheme...   8. Hello all, I was wondering if it would be possible with the "animation" feature that the Thirdwire games have, would it be possible to have an animation of a slumpled pilot when injured or dead as oppose to simply dissapearing from the plane.

    Hola Sirafe, nada preguntaba por aqui cosas para una campanya, como asignar pilotos a los esquadrones con nombre de pilotos reales y sus correspondientes aviones (y colores y marcas, etc). La pregunta que tu quieres seria algo asi: "is there a way to add the head rest in the early Albatros D.5 modifying some INI?". Si quieres, corta y pega y pon la pregunta :) o lo pongo yo, tu me dices. Saludos! Yea, I saw there were two campaign_data.ini and also a campaign.ini (I guess that's the config one you mention). But only one of them, can't remember which one now, has the entries for the knownaces, right?

    Quack, I was doing some experimenting last night with this... what you say above, is it just true for AI flights, or should it work for my Jasta as well. For example, I did Jasta 5 with a 7 known aces, assigned them specific textures, started up a campaign (cambrai 1917 from stock, no changes other than the knownaces) and when I started the first mission, the known aces were not my #2, 3 or 4, when I selected them from the roster menu and went back to the loadout screen, their specific textures were not loaded, I had to manually select them... is that right, or did I do something wrong? Thanks!

    Haha! I thought about it. I looked around these forum and Thirdwire's this morning and I think Quack what you are referring to is changing the settings for MaxRollFormation= in the AIRCRAFTAIDATA.INI. Problem is that it seems like originally the value was this: MaxRollFormation=30 but now (FE2 latest patch) the default is MaxRollFormation=5.0 which is what the "recommended fix" was... but the waltzing planes are still there.... It is so annoying!

  17. Hello, I am going through your skins you have uploaded here and getting them into the game, they are fantastic! One question, I see a bunch of packages for Albatros Vs, and my question to you is are these JUST for the Albatros V in the objects/aircraft folder? Or are they suppose to also go with Albatros D5_170, D5_180? I am a bit confused, but I think that number is just for the engine type, but anyway, I was just wondering if it would be "accurate" to also drop those skins for the 170 and 180s...

    Hello, I am trying to get Stary's effects working on FE2, but I can't seem to get them to work, and I am pretty sure I did it right by creating a new Effects folder in the saved games directory and then dumping the files there, but my guess is that something is new in FE2 that makes it not work with these old FE1/G effects. Are there any FE2 effects mods out there? Thanks!

    Hello, just bought FE2 (I used to play the first FE, plus the rest of the Thirdwire games) and I was wondering what cloud mods are recommended since I don't really like the stock ones. I remember when playing FE and the original SF games that some cloud mods out there were great, but not sure if those work with FE2 and SF2x... Thanks!

    WOW!!! Thanks so much QUACK74!! Your pics look great and followed your recommendations and the game now look stunning, I also added the seasonal tiles and all these just makes such a difference. One question though, it seems like the clouds are always quite high, never below 2,000 meters... is that normal?
