Desert Terrain V.4
By Piecemeal in Full Terrains
This is the latest (and my final) version of the Desert terrain. After months of tweaking and testing I've come to realise that this is as good as I'm going to get it.
So thus I've decided to just release it to the masses and see how it goes....
Desert 4 is similar to Desert V.3 albeit with a few important differences:
1. MOST IMPORTANTLY!!! - This terrain has been navalised, so you'll need to have SF2:NA in order to have missions work the way they should.
As to whether this terrain will work without SF2:NA , I'm not sure and I can't guarantee it; but you're free to give it a try.
2. This terrain is based on the STOCK DESERT TERRAIN, so DON'T use the tiles from V3 as that mod is based on Polak's desert terrain. The tiles
along the coast will be totally messed up.
3. D9 and D10 Airbases are still based in the mountainous north-western region of the map. However, the problem of having AI flights crashing
into a nearby mountain soon after take-off from D10 has been solved by removing the hill in question. Huge thanks has to go to to Baffmeister
for his work with that! Credit also has to go to Baffmeister for the surface levelling and re-tiling work around those and other airbases, as
well as his work on the islands.
4. The tiles are the work of JSF_Aggie, which are a huge improvement from the stock ones. Note: the tiles within the terrain folder have been
resized to 512 X 512 pixels for better framerate performance. But for those with higher spec PCs, you can get the full size tiles in the
download section here:
http://combatace.com/files/file/12368-hi-res-desert-tiles/
5. I've used Stary's excellent Desert Ground Environment mod, which for that region of the world, brings 110% more realism to town and city
regions, with more realistic buildings and trees.
6. More target areas have been added, as well as a few more "Easter Eggs". So get flyin' and start lookin'!

Desert3 Terrain
By Piecemeal in Full Terrains
UPDATED DESERT TERRAIN V1.3 FOR SF2
SF2 has always been my favourite of all the platforms; and after downloading and using the various terrain mods for SF2E and SF2V with hungry anticipation I decided to HEAVILY modify the stock Desert terrain with more than enough of eye candy.
DESCRIPTION:
Without giving too much away, the geographical story is now as follows:
*As well as Dhimar and Paran, I've added Sharnak from baffmeister's Desert 2 terrain (my inspiration for this), now a colony which is known as the British Protectorate of Sharnak. RAF squadrons are permanently based there. A couple of other bases, border posts and the like have also been added from Desert 2
*I always thought that D9 and D10 airfields were always a little too close to the border. They've now been moved to the Dhimari 'wastelands' which you'll see on the centre left side of the enclosed planning map
*About ten SAM sites have been added to various locations on Dhimar and the amount of SAM sites across Paran has been hugely increased, the biggest increase being Paran's capital city of Kurzah; which in SAM site and Flak battery terms is now more like Hanoi during the Vietnam War.
*Ships, cranes, oil tanks, warehouses and the like have been added to ports on both sides. Now the capital cities of Muthala and Kurzah, have extensive docklands. Other coastal towns have at least one docking area for shipping.
*(15TH AUG 2010): Inspired by JSF Aggie's SF2 Range terrain, all airfields on both sides have been extensively facelifted and given a new lease of life by re-populating them with huge amounts of groundobjects, both new and old. They now look a lot more like real life airfields instead of that deserted 'Chernobyl International Airport' look in the default airfields. All airfields have also been re-catagorised into two different groups; 'Red' and 'Blue'. For example, a Dhimari DESERT_AIRFIELD4 will now be 'BLUE_AIRFIELD4' and a Parani one will now be 'RED_AIRFIELD4'. New trucks have been added as default groundobjects so they'll have to be downloaded elsewhere on the site (see 'Installation' for details).
*(24TH MARCH 2012): All neccessary INI files have been updated to March 2012 standard. RAF Canopic is now called "Canopic AFB" and is a full-time U.S. Air Force facility. All friendly airfields and some enemy airfields have been enhanced further by adding more groundobjects and in general just tidying up and re-arranging buildings, etc. Offshore oil wells have been situated off the Sharnak and Dhimari coasts. U.S. bomber flights can now attack Paran via the off-map airbase at Diego Garcia. Army bases have been added across Dhimar and in Sharnak for you to defend from Parani bomber attacks.
----------------------------------
INSTALLATION (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
Simply unzip the FILE and put the enclosed 'DESERT3' folder into your Terrain folder. NOTE: Please ensure that you drop the enclosed groundobjects into you mod folder, otherwise there'll be no trucks anywhere in Dhimar and no oil rigs in the offshore oilfields!!
Important Note: If you don't already have these, you should download them from the SF1 downloads section, otherwise they won't show up:

SF2 A-6E VA-85 Black Falcons for Third Wire A-6 Intruder
This skin represents VA-85 during their cruise aboard the USS Forrestal in 1972/1973.
Although the aircraft in the add-on is stated as an A-6E, in reality it's a Third Wire
A-6A with various INI tweaks to represent the engine and avionics improvements of the 'E'
model over the 'A'.
Special thanks to Wrench for donating the 'Black Falcon' decal and for modifying the stock
ThirdWire 'AA' tailcode. Cheers Kev, couldn't have done that without you mate.

Piecemeal's Airfield Mod For Stary's 'Green Hell 3'
This mod is something to complement Stary's Green Hell3 mod for SF2V. All airfields on both sides have been extensively facelifted and given a new lease of life by re-populating them with huge amounts of groundobjects that were used in my Desert3 terrain and updated airfields for the Four Seasons mod.
Airfields have also been re-catagorised into two different groups; 'Red' and 'Blue'. For example, a friendly 'vietnamSEA_airfield4' will now be 'BLUE_AIRFIELD4' and a North Vietnamese 'vietnamSEA_airfield4_NV' will now be 'RED_AIRFIELD4'.
The amount of ground objects and buildings on all airfields are on a MUCH bigger scale than before, though I haven't really noticed much of a drop in FPS performance - although the mod's performance on your PC does depend on your own system and specs.
----------------------------------
INSTALLATION (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
* First, save a copy of your existing 'VietnamSEA' terrain (in case for some strange reason you might not be happy with this mod!).
* Secondly, unzip this pack and allow the folders within to merge with your SF2V installation. If asked whether you want to replace files, allow them to be overwritten (you saved a copy of your original terrain, yeah?).
You should be good to go then!
Important Note: If you don't already have this, you should download it from the SF1 downloads section, otherwise North Vietnamese airfields will be missing a LOT of trucks:
* Kesselbrut's 'Soviet Transport Mod', which can be found here: http://combatace.com/files/file/3667-soviet-transport-pack/
CREDITS:
*SF/WoV Runway Upgrade tiles by Polak
*Hi-Res Runway texture tiles by JSF Aggie
*Factory Target Area, Tactical Control Centre, HeadquartersR1, Gas Station and Tower H1 by Wingwiner
*Enhanced Top Cloud Layer BMPs by Fubar512
*Radar Facility by Grumpapotamus
*Generic Hangars pack by Stary
*South Vietnamese, American and SEATO flag by Wrench
*Thai flag by pureblue
*Borrowed Objects from Wrench's Libya Terrain :
Round Tents
Barbed Wire
Fences
Camonet
*Borrowed Objects from Wrench's DBS Terrain :
HotDog Stand
'Deuces Bar & Grill' sign
*Borrowed Objects From Falklands Mod :
Stanley Tower
Comm Building
*Borrowed Objects From Desert Storm Mod :

Piecemeal's Airfield Mod Add-On for the SF2E 'Four Seasons' Terrain
This mod is something to complement the excellent Four Seasons terrain for SF2E. All airfields on both sides have been extensively facelifted and given a new lease of life by re-populating them with huge amounts of groundobjects that were used in my Desert3 terrain.
Airfields have also been re-catagorised into two different groups; 'Red' and 'Blue'. For example, a NATO 'GERMAN_AIRFIELD4' will now be 'BLUE_AIRFIELD4' and a WarPac 'SOVIET_AIRFIELD_4' will now be RED_AIRFIELD4. The 'Camiones Agrentinos' trucks mod pack have been added as default items so I've included them to this pack also.
The amount of ground objects and buildings on all airfields are on a much bigger scale than before, but I haven't really noticed much of a drop in FPS performance - although that does depend on your system and specs.
----------------------------------
INSTALLATION (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY):
* First, save a copy of your existing 'GermanyCE' terrain (in case for some strange reason you might not be happy with this mod!).
* Secondly, unzip this pack to somewhere and allow the folders within to merge with your Strike Fighters Europe installation.
* If asked to replace files, allow them to be overwritten (you saved a copy of your original terrain, yeah?).
You should be good to go then!
Important Note: If you don't already have these, you should download them from the SF1 downloads section, otherwise they won't show up on any WarPac airfields:
* SAMs & Vehicles Pack by Pasko.
* Soviet Transport Pack by Kesselbrut.
Please be sure to include the enclosed 'Camiones Argentinos' truck models by Banidos Team & Suicidal (the default 'USTruck' models have been totally replaced by these, so downloading these trucks is definitely a MUST or there'll be no trucks on any NATO airfields!!)

F-4ES Cockpit & HUD Upgrade Version 1.0
By Piecemeal in Jet Cockpits
F-4ES Cockpit & HUD Upgrade Version 1.0 by Ultramax
This is my first serious attempt at 'cockpit conversion', so please be gentle guys! It was originally inspired
by Doghouse's brilliant F-4ES 'Super Phantom II' upgrade and I thought to myself that the picture would be
completed with a snazzy new cockpit to make the most of the Phantom's newfound versatility.
Although I haven't tested it on them, I'm sure it would also make a brilliant addition to the F-4F ICE and
Kurness 2000 upgrades.
Contents:
Cockpit: Hi-Res cockpit by sundowner
RWR Display: Radar & TV display files by Wingwiner
Avionics and HUD display files originated from the Mirage Factory F-15A
PS: If I've forgotten to mention anybody please let me know.
If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact me on the forum and I'll be sure to
respond ASAP.
Installation:
Just place all the files into your aircraft ini file and place these entries in the appropriate sections:
CockpitDataFile=F-4ES_cockpit.ini
AvionicsDataFilename=F-4ES_AVIONICS.INI
You'll also need to have the F-4E_COCKPIT.LOD from SFP1 or SFG.
BTW, don't forget to change 'avionics60' to 'avionics70' - otherwise it won't work!
HAPPY HI-TECH FLYING!!
this mod is from Ultramax and was only uploaded by ravenclaw_007 all credit for this work goes to Ultramax

Revised SF2 F-105_66 Loadout Option
After looking at various real life pictures of F-105s I noticed that more often than not, F-105s going into combat carried an ECM pod on one outer pylon and a Shrike missile on the other. The option to make this selection isn't possible in the stock F-105D_66 so I decided to edit the stock DATA and LOADOUT inis to give a more accurate depiction, or to at least give the user the option to select this loadout before flying missions.
Just pop these INI files into your F-105_66 folder and you're ready to go.

Updated Stock Campaigns for Updated SF2 Desert Terrain
By Piecemeal in User Made Campaigns
These are edited stock campaigns to suit the Updated SF2 Desert terrain that I recently released. While the original campaigns would work without much bother, they wouldn't give the benefits of all the additions I made to the 'Desert3' terrain. These include:
* All US Navy campaigns being carrier based.
* Players will now have the additional option of flying campaigns for the RAF.
* The two extra Parani airfields in Desert3 are included in these campaign files. Enemy squadrons have been assigned to them.
* The SF2 stock campaign files failed to give the player the benefits of having the option to fly in the new stock aircraft that are now available in SF2. These edited campaign files now include the Hawker Hunter, the F-4M/F-4M_75, the F-105D/D_66 Thunderchief, the A-7 Corsair (USAF/USN) and the Harrier GR.1/GR.3.
INSTALLATION:
Just unzip the RAR file and move the contents of the 'CAMPAIGNS' folder to your SF2 game's 'Campaigns' folder. For those who might be concerned; these new campaign files WON'T overwrite your stock ones.
I'm not sure if the CVA-63 and SCB-125 stock carrier models were included with the stock SF2 groundobjects; but if they're not, simply copy those folders from your SF2V/Objects/GroundObject folder. If you don't have SF2V or if you've no wish to get SF2V, please let me know in this release's Support Topic and if there's enough demand for it I'll release these campaigns with land-based USN squadrons.
Happy flying folks!
