  1. [Fictional] A-7E Corsair - Marineflieger

Bravo!!! Another job well done! Ever thought of donning the D models in a 'what if' Imperial Iranian AF camo scheme? I think they called it 'Asia Minor'.
  2. I've always wondered what an A-10 would look like in an 'Asia Minor' scheme. You know, a 'what if the Shah had bought a sh*t-ton of 'em in the mid '70s' kind of thing

This mod is something to complement Stary's Green Hell3 mod for SF2V. All airfields on both sides have been extensively facelifted and given a new lease of life by re-populating them with huge amounts of groundobjects that were used in my Desert3 terrain and updated airfields for the Four Seasons mod. Airfields have also been re-catagorised into two different groups; 'Red' and 'Blue'. For example, a friendly 'vietnamSEA_airfield4' will now be 'BLUE_AIRFIELD4' and a North Vietnamese 'vietnamSEA_airfield4_NV' will now be 'RED_AIRFIELD4'. The amount of ground objects and buildings on all airfields are on a MUCH bigger scale than before, though I haven't really noticed much of a drop in FPS performance - although the mod's performance on your PC does depend on your own system and specs. ---------------------------------- INSTALLATION (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY): * First, save a copy of your existing 'VietnamSEA' terrain (in case for some strange reason you might not be happy with this mod!). * Secondly, unzip this pack and allow the folders within to merge with your SF2V installation. If asked whether you want to replace files, allow them to be overwritten (you saved a copy of your original terrain, yeah?). You should be good to go then! Important Note: If you don't already have this, you should download it from the SF1 downloads section, otherwise North Vietnamese airfields will be missing a LOT of trucks: * Kesselbrut's 'Soviet Transport Mod', which can be found here: http://combatace.com/files/file/3667-soviet-transport-pack/ CREDITS: *SF/WoV Runway Upgrade tiles by Polak *Hi-Res Runway texture tiles by JSF Aggie *Factory Target Area, Tactical Control Centre, HeadquartersR1, Gas Station and Tower H1 by Wingwiner *Enhanced Top Cloud Layer BMPs by Fubar512 *Radar Facility by Grumpapotamus *Generic Hangars pack by Stary *South Vietnamese, American and SEATO flag by Wrench *Thai flag by pureblue *Borrowed Objects from Wrench's Libya Terrain : Round Tents Barbed Wire Fences Camonet *Borrowed Objects from Wrench's DBS Terrain : HotDog Stand 'Deuces Bar & Grill' sign *Borrowed Objects From Falklands Mod : Stanley Tower Comm Building *Borrowed Objects From Desert Storm Mod : Satellite and Radio Antennas Sandbag walls Ammo boxes *Borrowed Objects From SF2 Range Terrain : Forklift and ShelterZU by Amokfloo Firetrucks by Ravenclaw FloodLight, SmallGenerator, ConcreteBlock and SunShelter by Pureblue Static Chinook model by Banidos Team Tools by Polak Thanks to the creators of all the above mods. This is (of course!) a fictional depiction of the Hunter 9 for the Royal Dhimari Air Force. PLEASE read the Readme file for full installation details!!
  5. I'm hoping some members here can give me some recommendations. I've finally managed to install the SF2 series on my new desktop. I downloaded my Desert 4 terrain and some Dhimari Mirages, installed them and tried them out. Problem is I'm having some alarming graphics problems. I'll let the screenshots peak for themselves: My graphics settings in the Options.INI: DisplayDeviceID=0 DisplayWidth=1600 DisplayHeight=900 DisplayDepth=32 AspectRatio=1.777778 Antialiasing=0 ForceDX9=FALSE ForceVSyncOff=FALSE Use32BitZBuffer=TRUE LensFlare=0 DetailLevel=4 ObjectDetail=2 ObjectTexture=3 CockpitTexture=3 CockpitMirrors=1 EffectsDetail=2 TerrainDetail=2 TerrainTexture=3 HorizonDistance=2 GroundObjectDensity=3 WaterDetail=2 CloudsDetail=2 Shadow=2 ObjectsFade=FALSE screenshots of the current Nvidia GTX970 (v.355.98) 3D settings: Any help in solving these conspicuous game glitches would be appreciated.
  6. Have you ever thought of doing the A variant of the much vaunted SA-8 'Gecko' vehicle? There only seems to be the B model available for SF2.
  7. I'll see your widowmaker and raise you twenty.......
  8. Nice!! Looks good in the IDF/AF camo scheme. I didn't even know there were templates available
  9. Does anybody know if it's possible to view the stock cockpits on the LOD Viewer app; and if so, how?
  10. While we're on the subject of cockpits; I've been trying to Anglicise some of the gauges and panels on the Mirage 5BA cockpit. Does anybody know the english translation for these: Google translate has told me that 'Bidons' loosely translates as 'Cans' which I'm assuming means the external tanks. I'm completely lost on 'Voils', though. ....... I knew I should've paid more attention at school
  11. AMAZING!!! I've been using TW sims for years and have trying every which way to do that!!!! It's a perfect example of thinking outside the box. Thanks a million Logan
  12. Hi eric. I was just thinking there; didn't Nyghtfall find a way to view them, or was that on another 3D app he was using.
  13. Hi Steve! It's good to hear that things are moving (as they should!) in the right direction. I'm slowly coming back to the SF2 world (ain't RL a bitch!) but won't be able to help this time as I'm slowly rebuilding my current mod folder. I WILL, however, be available for you to take my money when it's finally released
  14. Old soldiers never die...... ......they just fade away
  15. I suppose there are SOME advantages with having to rebuild your mod folder from scratch....... Before, it was a teensy weensy bit slow and bloated...... ....... now; I'm roughly halfway through the rebuild; and already I've got a leaner, sportier AND faster version of the old:
  16. There is absolutely no rush my friend. Take all the time you need to recuperate. Best wishes from this end
  17. Hi Ravenclaw! Just out of curiosity, will there be a new Red Top missile included in this pack?
  18. Now THAT'S what I call dirtified! (Note to C/O; more turtle wax required at next docking area)
  19. Ok, so....... I've been out of the loop for a good while so please be patient I've downloaded Sundowner's excellent hi-res Hunter Mk.6 templates and have been trying to change the colours of the standard olive/grey camo pattern. I've isolated the specific layers but after selecting the new colours I've been unable to fill those layers with them. I assumed it was just a case of sampling a colour and then using the 'Bucket Fill' method, but obviously not. The knowledge base here doesn't seem to show anything of help and Google Search is just no help at all. Can somebody give a few pointers as to where I'm going wrong and what I should be doing? Any advice would be a huge help
  20. It's not absolutely perfect, but for an AI aircraft it certainly fits the bill. I can edit the borders of the dark brown to take the rough edges off it at a later stage. To all those who provided help and advice, thank you so much. Your assistance is hugely appreciated
  21. Rebuilding of the mod folder continuing at a snails pace. $2,000 worth of Super, please...... Chocks away......
  22. Top class work there. Night fights have just become that little bit more realistic thanks to this mod..... Bravo!!
  23. Rebuilding my SF2 install to the way I had it is proving to be a very long but (ultimately, I hope) worthwhile affair. At the moment I'm reinstalling the stock F-14A to my taste, I've been unable to find much, especially lo-viz grey skins. To cut a long story short,; does anyone know where I can find some? And YES, I here you screaming at the monitor; I do know of the many skins and mods for TMF Tomcats, but in reinstalling all my mods I'd rather if at all possible to keep the mods folders as small as possible in order to help the game run a little faster. Cheers in advance!
