1. Merry Christmas Steve! And it's always exciting to hear about the new developments. Cheers
2. FFG7, first of class frigate, Oliver Hazard Perry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Oliver_Hazard_Perry_%28FFG-7%29 Seems like it just let off an SM-1 missile and its gun is trained to incoming aircraft. DD-974, Spruance Class DD, Comte de Grasse. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Comte_de_Grasse_%28DD-974%29 This seems to be the first model, without the ABL(Armored Box Launcher) used for Tomahawks. Definitely some kind of LHA.
3. Great comparison shot Stary! That just shows how much more height AND tile resolution the new engine has, rather than the 1x1km height and 2x2km tile rez we have now. I just can't stop looking at these screens, very exciting!!
4. Thanks Just patched and migrated all my installs.
5. So I'm thinking of patching to this from the Oct'11. Any note on downgraded gfx settings? Or is the below statement just cover some ini edits by TK to lower the settings? * Some of the graphics details have been scaled down to improve peformance and eliminate stutter.
6. Awesome, thank you mate! Edit: Wow, just discovered the height editing at max zoom. Can raise/lower ground in 4x4 divided tiles, with increments (pgup/pgdown) Simple but beautifully designed Gerwin
7. Thank you Baltika. I really enjoy flying this terrain
8. How about this Cobra on TW site? Or was it related to the simulation developed for the mililtary?
9. Can't remember which post I got this from, but here's a list I found in my notes: * WeaponDataType=0 Bomb * WeaponDataType=1 Torpedo and Guided Missiles (homing?) * WeaponDataType=2 Rocket Pod * WeaponDataType=3 Gun Pod * WeaponDataType=4 ECM, Navigation, Targeting * WeaponDataType=5 Drop Tank * WeaponDataType=6 Rack Type * WDT=0 BOMB NUC LGB EOGB * WDT=1 ARM SAHM IRM CGR EOGR * WDT=2 RCKT TLR * WDT=3 GP * WDT=4 EP RCN LP * WDT=5 FT * WDT=6 MER TER CGR
10. Nice work Brain Terminators on a SEAD mission. Laying CBU's on AAA positions Dropping flares and praying when a stinger shot stuns us. We press the attack and cook the stinger crew. sh*ting in our pants in the process
11. The version 2 terrain has JPG tiles, I didn't want to mess with all the included objects. Plus I don't think it's the textures busting the graphics memory, it's the amount of terrain target objects/groundobjects, which use the main memory IMHO. Like I mention in the README, first starting a Single Mission using a different terrain, then loading a mission w/ Anatolia, solves all CTD problems for me. Everytime. I guess it's hardware/mod dependent..
12. I concur, the tool is pretty awesome. Gave it a go the other day, with the target areas/objects viewed on the actual tiles, zoom functions and planning map export, makes it a very useful tool. Thanks for the effort Gerwin
13. It's a resource hungry terrain you know.. It's more likely to CTD if you have a big modded install. Actually just the other day, to get over this CTD, I tried one of those 4GB exe patches they make for other games. I'm not sure if SF2 benefits from this, but it seemed to help. This is the utility: Large Address Aware. http://www.techpower...ad.php?t=112556
14. Thank you for this fantastic cockpit guys
15. LOL! I like what I see from the screenshots. My expectations for new avionics (though minor) and naval features, are even bigger now.
16. I'm looking for one to use in the Darius Campaign. The one in WarForTaiwan uses a different Model/LOD from the Stock A-10A_78 which I'd prefer. I'm going to dive in the INI files if there isn't one already made. Thanks!
