About Villicus

  1. That's pretty interesting. Before going to Desert Storm we painted our Hummers what we thought was a sand color, but after it dried it was a very light shade of pink. It was almost embarrassing to look at, but it worked out quite well. The paint never looked pink in any photos we took though.
  2. Beautiful piece of work!!! I'm sure Tim will be pleased.
  3. I have played the trumpet for about 30 years now. I also enjoy playing the E flat baritone and valve trombone. I had a custom made Fender Strat I was starting to learn, but Desert Storm ruined those plans. I sold the Strat after I came home. I'm happy with my trumpet for now.
  4. Hats off to OBD software!

I got the next round. Flyin' and dyin' has never been more fun. This is an outstanding piece of software!!!
  5. Yes I did read that and Udet wasn't the only one he extended that courtesy to. He was just a kid really, but he had the heart of a lion. I am amazed at how many times he came back from missions with his plane shredded by bullets and even his clothes full of bullet holes. One time a bullet from a back seater came through his engine and lodged in his glove at the end of his index finger. He thought at the time that he lost two fingers, but he kept flying and laughed his head off when he found out just the tip of his fingernail turned black from the impact.
  6. Thanks for the link. I'm reading his biography right now. He was a very remarkable man.
  7. Hi y'all, I'm brand new to the Strike Fighters sims. I've had WOV for less than a week an was having a blast with it when along comes WOI. What an outstanding piece of work! I don't know why I waited so long to try these out, but I'm knee deep in 'em now
