New Knights Over Europe Interview at SimHQ!
Beer replied to ArgonV's topic in WWI Flight Sim Discussion
If multiplayer works outta the box...I'll buy it :D With the way the modern Sims are going this may be a welcome change! Cheers Beer -
Dont know anything about them, however we have been victim at our own ODB forums of what we call "Forum Fires" (Operator induced errors at the Admin level DOOH)...It may not have been intentional...And the growing pains of learning the forum software on their end. Besides Armand and I still love ya! Cheers Beer

Yep...Drew Carey and Ron Jermey are cool... Moore is not worthy of mention IMHO. Cheers Beer

My thoughts on the demo, feel free to disagree
Beer replied to PG_Raptor's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
Yes, it will be ready when it is ready...just like a quality Lager Did not sign the petition. All I want is a Game to work in Multiplayer right out of the Box. Petes Wicked Fan here Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nothing like a Petes while surfing the ol' Boards. Cheers Beer -
Half the year "Penetration" is my business, I ensure the drillship goes nowhere fast, if anywhere at all. Collateral duties include that there is Love, Peace, and Harmony between the various Departments on the Drillship, lastly I feel obligated to ensure that the food is fit for consumption for my crew (the more you eat the more you make???). The other half of the year I Beta Beer Test, currently I pretty much play Petes Wicked Seasonal Beers, my favorite maps are Petes Wicked Strawberry Blonde, and Petes Wicked Winter Ale. The downside is this type of testing is pay as you play... :? I am sidelining for some video stuff...but there is not that much demand for Fat White guys...seems Drew Carey and Ron Jeremy have the Niche locked up. From my Signature, the P-3 on the Left represents my NAVCOM/TACCO Days with the Navy, the center my Beer Beta testing and gaming days, and the right is My Drillship days. (Thanks Fates for making the Banner) Cheers Beer

Finally got around to putting up some pics from the Dayton Airshow. Currently most of the pics are from BUFF, this site will be work in progress for a few weeks but you can check out the Dayton Airshow here. http://www.retrorelics.net/jim/dayton2003/ Sample I quite taken with this shot! She is just beautiful! I have always loved the White with Red Letter paint scheme on the Budweiser Trucks! Sorry the frame sizes are huge, some of the shots are excellent and I did not want to reduce there size. Cheers Beer

I believe Jeff has been fair and was spot on how it is being handled. As a veteran I am saddened by suched behavior on Ranger's part. Truely the community has been tolerable of the "bandwith and post stealing", and Jeff was gracious and assumed that the lying would end after the first Ban and gave him a second chance. It did not take long for the old ways to show up again. The PWarrior post is a sick way to draw attention to himself and create "entertainment" for him. Boards don't ban people, people ban themselves with the values they present to the audience. Beer

Beer replied to Hawker's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I will grab it when I get home (next week), I would love to get a screenshot (pehaps in game video) of the A-7 and the EA-6 making a low pass on the CV-59... :D Now if I could only git a beta of the A-7... :? Cheers Beer -

Aquire the ground radar visually, fly say between 8-12 miles from the radar, point the nose at the radar a pickle the antiradiation missile. Despite the RWR issue with Radeon cards (the RWR being primarily a locationing device, i.e. threat indicator) the missile will work (bar a random miss based on TK's research and statics of actual missile performace). Chaff and flares do not work yet (likely on purpose). According to pilots of the era, chaff and flare systems as we know them today were not available in the time frames modeled (up to 1975). Do a search at SimHq SFP-1 board ( www.simhq.com then look for the SFP-1 board) and possibly this board to see what the pilots did for chaff 8) . Ground targets you lock onto visually (the target box, and your ability to "see" is a function of your game settings, hard you do not get a target box, medium represents a reasonable visual horizon, and easy will let you cycle through all the ground targets in that mission). Use the RWR to locate a radiation source fly towards it and pickle off the weapon. The RWR is available in the F-4E. If you have a ATI card the RWR likely does not work (even with the first patch). Good news is it seems to have been fixed (source Major Lee) with the upcoming second patch. Hope this helps. Cheers Beer -
If it works well I might...(only interested in the multiplayer side of it). I have in work a tutorial/review on configuring CH Pro USB controllers (Pro Throttle, Combat Stick and Rudder Pedals). I also have to wrap up my Kid Rock Video "Cowboy". 8) O and not to mention the virtual Oil Field I am trying to model SFP-1 is kinda slow these days, so maybe the controller tutorial can be based on MSFS 2004 (was slanted for SFP-1) and that can roll into a FS 2004 multiplayer/LAN/Internet review. I get home 15 August, will see what I can do. Cheers Beer

I will be picking this one up when I get home... Appearently it is set up for internet play where I can be an instructor and set/change the weather as a student shoots instrument approaches. This sounds like great fun; in addition the instructor mode allows simulating failures on your buddies plane during a instrument approach... If anyone is interested in hooking up for some instrument landing stuff at or near miniums P/M me, we can do Roger Wilco and the trainer mode and just some fun fly activity vice air combat. Seeking interest in forming new virtual carrier airwing....
Beer replied to navychief's topic in The Pub
We first need a landable carrier, I dont think (but I have been wrong before :D ) that that will happen with SFP-1, perhaps if TK gets a carrier based P-2 going I think that would be viable, also with LOMAC round the corner, even if its Soviet Based I would fly and trap that if it worked... Either way when a working carrier comes out in any sim, ODB's will likely have a "Wing" in action. Cheers Beer -
