LOL Damn ya... We will see what you can do with mine...should be in the mail Monday... Cheers Beer

Good deal, glad to hear you are up and running, I ran outta time and was not able to get mine going before I joined the ship for three weeks, I am going to try to RMA the 2700 AMD, and hopefully will have the system going the first week I return mid August. Wife made out this time whome My plan now is to RMA the 2.7 and put that in the ASUS, and pending your 3.2 scores, I may go with a 3.2 or a 3.0 in the ABIT :D Cheers Beer

Sounds easy and like a sure thing...especially after reading the boards at Abit and the disk flashing horror stories. Cheers Beer

I'll let ya know if my last remaining CPU a 2.1 gets fried when I try putting that in the 1.2 rev board... Again, sorry to have pointed out the windows flash utility to you... Spent the day setting up my wifes new HP 2.8 AMD ($800 @ Circuit City)...it worked outta the box. Just had to delete the crap they put on it for software. Cheers Beer
-
Sorry to have pointed you in that direction MrMudd...(I had no trouble at all using the ASUS Windows Bios flash software). You should be able to RMA the board to the vender you got it from? I still say "plug and play" is really "plug and curse like a sailor." Cheers Beer

I dont know (actually we successfully disabled all four machines running in the garage, hence no gain on the Micky Folding, by swapping cpus trying to figure out WTF was going on)... Are you on the rig? Since I am leaving thursday, I will likley just send you the gamer, I have had just about enough, and if I continue to have trouble the parts are gonna be just that parts and I will buy a running alienware, email me with your address, likely if I send it out Wednesday you will get it next mid week. Cheers Beer

Ya did good in getting the rev 2.0 (hehe with your luck you buy some lotto tickets!!!) I got an email from ABIT about a Windows Based Bios Flash they are releasing last week called "Flash Menu" I got the impression it has been released, if it is anything like the ASUS bios update in windows, it may be worth the wait. Don't forget to reset the bios using the jumper after you flash it if you do the disk way. From the email I picked up my two machines from the shop (spent two weeks in the shop and they did not even look at them), I got the one machine going using a spare 2.1 AMD (I guess I fried two CPUS when I did the swap ) so the wifes machine is now up and running (my old ASUS A7V8X). I am betting all I need is a CPU for the NF-7S, I hope to RMA the 2.7 AMD I bought for it. Not sure what I am gonna do, I do not have quick access to buying AMD CPU's and I head to my ship for three weeks this Thursday...when I get it running I will post both 2001 3D mark and 2003 3D marks. Since I fried two CPUs while working with that board the shop says (there guess as to my trouble without looking) to ensure the power supply is unplugged (I just switched the machine to off) and has had time to bleed off any stray voltages before you remove it (light on motherboard should go out), also be careful to only get the thermal paste on the silver rectangle heat sink in the center, and to use it sparingly (not to insult your ability, these are just the most common mistakes). Cheers Beer

I am in the process of upgrading to a very similiar system. ABit NF-7S rev 1.2 (rev 2.0 is the latest board) 2.7 AMD 1 gig 3500 OCZ matched DDR RAM Radeon 9800 Pro I have been having trouble from the git go, and hope to get my machine back today. I had the two tone (european police siren) at boot, I then swapped the RAM for the higher quality OCZ RAM and managed to get the system set up (using a 2.4 AMD), I did not try a 2001 mark but did get a "Stock" 2003 3 D mark at 5550. When I changed the 2.4 to the 2.7 the system refuses to post, tired of messing with it and swapping various components I took it to the shop. Hope to pick it up today, will post my progress, lets see what we can get outta these! Cheers Beer

Big Beers excellent adventure begins in the wee hours of Wednesday, as Beer and Brew load up the car and head West to Dayton Ohio for the 100 th anniversary of flight airshows. It is the first interstate gathering of ODB's and other squads from Janes USAF multiplayer. Anyone interested in tracking the social and airshow aspects are welcome. There is the possibility for a live Beer Cam (compliments of Earthcam) broadcast as the party continues. Link is here http://www.retrorelics.net/jim/dayton2003/ We will update the site nightly with pics from the days/nites activities. The Blue Angles, the Snowbirds, and the Thunderbirds are scheduled to fly daily! Here is a link to the airshow schedule http://www.usats.org/html/schedules.asp Here is a link to static display listing http://www.usats.org/html/aircraft.asp I will be the fat white guy at the airshow wearing a grey hat that says Big Beer! 8) Cheers Beer

@ NAS Brunswick, Maine just after I was getting out in 94 they made all the clubs consolidated. The O Club, Chiefs Club, and E Club became one. They then Changed the BOQ to house Chiefs and O's. NAS Brunswick Maine has dodged the bullet but they sweat each round of base closures. Never made it Cecil Field, when I was in JAX (1990) I did 4 month's with VP-30, my off time was spent at the "Road House" 1700-0200 shooting darts for four months...man what a blast! OK I did not graduate in the top of the RAG class, but I did become a pretty good Dart Shark :D This year they made it so civilians (like myself) can get to the golf course without going on the Base. Bump for the new pictures added in the post above. -
Finally got a nice ride the end of May :D For some reason this was easy to get spousal approval for purchase. Think this will work as a pickup line... "Hey baby when I was a Webelo I got kicked out for eating a brownie..." or "What do blondes like about convertibles?----->Legroom "What do Brunettes like about tilt steering?---->Headroom :?: Cheers Beer

OK here is a slight update... I get off the ship this Friday (pulled four weeks offshore instead of the usual three and three), and will start the vid shooting next week. Ira, my deck foreman has given me his Black Cowboy hat (he owns a ranch in Texas...so its authentic). As Brew and I pack up the Vette and head "West" to Dayton Ohio for the Dayton Airshow we will try to get some clips of us "heading out West". Gary Coleman rejected my $100 offer to appear with me in the reshoot of the video so I am still trying to recruit some vertically challenged participants, as well as some ho's... I have a work-around for the ho's should that not pan out. Perhaps a finished product End of July. Cheers Beer 8)

Thanks guys, as I said its work in progress, there was no readme put in the zip file, to use the ship (keep in mind it is not landable) unzip all the files to the /objects directory and run the antishipping mission. There are two built in antishipping missions, one is against a tanker, the other is against the cargoship. The cargo ship comes up 75% of the time, if you see the tanker, end the mission back out and restart the antishipping mission. The cargoship.lod is just an easy way for me to test the objects I make. Enjoy, I am adding more stuff to it, and hope to have a better presentation later in the month. Cheers Beer -
Welcome back! Thank you for a job well done! Cheers Beer

Sorry Ranger those are not mapped their colors are assigned in form the Materials editor in 3Ds Max (so you can not change them). I am not very good at unwrapping yet, in fact "Mike Who" mapped the PHM for me, all I asked for was the hull and the house. I will try to include more items like the radome etc. Since I have not released the new and improved (visually PHM is better unfortunately the gun works backwards...) I may be able to include those items in the future. The good news is I learned a lil about the unwrapping feature in Max 5 and mapped the superstructure of the CV-59 myself today. So my unwrapping is getting better (not as good as my rapping though :D ). Cool weathering and primer, looks like a 3rd world neglected Navy Vessel. Here is my latest project... http://www.retrorelics.net/jim/beers_3d_models.htm Cheers Beer -
