  1. See, that's what happens when Dave isn't around to remind us to backup every five minutes. :(
  2. That's the one Sandesh! Thanks mate. Edit - just downloaded and noticed it's actually a first gen mod and not SF2! Never mind, a bit of converting's good for the soul! Kevin,IanH and dtmdragon looking forward to the updated mod. Raven - thanks for the assist.
  3. I might be losing it but I was sure there was a RN Sea Harrier available as a stand alone aircraft to add to my NA install without having to extract it from The Falklands mod. Any idea where it might be or is it a WIP?
  4. Here are a couple of icons for anyone who wants to set up a dedicated install for this campaign. Eritrea_Ethiopia.ico Ethiopia_Eritrea.ico
  5. Nope, correct yourself again Kevin! Dels already did a U: http://combatace.com/files/file/9992-ac-130u-version-10-for-sf2/
  6. SF2:NA - Convair's AllStars Edition
  7. Stratos, I just added the SF2 Afghanistan terrain to an SF2 install, went into the Afghanistan_NATIONS.ini file and added FriendlyNation037=SOVIET Now I can quite happily fly MiGs, Sukhois etc over the terrain. BTW. I've got an SF1 Wings Over Afghanistan install with loads of Soviet & NATO planes, ground objects etc. I edited each of the aircraft's DATA.ini files so that the soviet ones ended in 1989 and the NATO ones started in 2001. That way I don't get F-15's flying CAP for an Mi-24 strike and Su-25s flying defence suppression missions when I fly an F-14D strike! I kept some of the Soviet heavies - An-12 & Il-76 etc - to represent modern UN or aid relief flights. When I get time I'll do a dedicated SF2 install and drop the 1st Gen.
  8. Isn't there a Soviet Su-25 in one of the NATO Fighters packs? Also here's a link to ACIG that might have some useful articles: http://www.acig.info/CMS/index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=5&id=30&Itemid=47

    Typhoid!

    Many happy returns guys!
  10. Really nice Bronco Spinners. Convair F/A-201I 'Lavi', 116 Squadron 'Flying Wing', 1980 Skin is by Hank Essers for the FSX model - he did all the work. I converted it for the SF2 model in about 5 minutes! More to come. I can't help thinking the Convair needs another pylon per wing, F-15E style LANTIRN pods under the intakes and an F-16I style spine or Skyhawk hump. It's just to darned graceful looking at the moment!
  11. These might come in useful. Jonathan if you want to use them in a future update please feel free. They were free downloads from the music company's website so there should be no sharing issues. MainScreen.wav SingleMissionScreen.wav
  12. Many Happy Returns Guys|! Is 6 on one day the most simultaneous birthdays we have?
  13. Altogether: 'It's a completely new model Blackbird!'
  14. Wiki mentions Mk82s and British 1000lb bombs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argentine_air_forces_in_the_Falklands_War#Armament
  15. I hate to say it but the poll is even more complicated than the download instructions! J/K - The Intruder is one of my favorite planes and you're doing a great job with it. Can't wait for your Prowler pack.
  16. BBC are saying the Syrians shot at one of the SAR aircraft too. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-18586645 BTW if the Phantom was an RF-4E, do we know if the Turks are providing intel to the Syrian rebels? http://www.albawaba.com/editorchoice/syria-fsa-assad-430951 The Guardian also claims that Turkey has allowed the establishment of a command center in Istanbul co-coordinating the supply of weapons to the rebel fighters in Syria, staffed by more than 20 mainly Syrian nationals.
  17. Mazeltov to you and all the family on this special day.
  18. Maybe have a us base on Guam that wasn't captured by the Japanese as a starting point? It might be that it could only be done as single missions rather than a campaign.
  19. Imagine a Tom Clancy novel where the plot revolves around a us carrier battle group attempting to retake a strategic island from an invasion force that arrived covertly aboard civilian vessels. US military personnel are trapped on the island by the invading force and report back to intel experts by satellite phone to give them vital info on enemy force dispositions. No this isn't Iceland and Mike Edwards and his band of rag tag marines but part of the plot of Debt of Honor where a resurgent Japan captures Saipan forcing a US military response. Like RSR us stealth aircraft save the day in many sequences including Comanche stealth helicopters taking out 767 AWACS (Operation Dreamland anyone?) and F-22s taking on F-15Js. The action in the book takes place off Saipan and also over the Japanese Home Islands. I'm not sure if we have a Japan map yet but I'm pretty sure Wrench did a WW2 pacific map that included Saipan - it will need to be modernised and converted to SF2:NA standard. Other than that we probably have most of the other players available for some modern PAW action - Japanese F-15s & F-2s, WBS's Japanese ships, F-22 & F-15E, B-1 & B-2 bombers, and the various navy birds from the carrier air wings involved (which I think was Stennis & Enterprise, I'll have to pull out my copy of the book to check). Any thoughts guys?
  20. I thought he might do the Iranian Tomcat as a full aircraft DLC rather than just the skin. But then I suppose people may have just bought that instead of SF2:NA.
  21. If we can get the terrain updated for NA carrier action we can have F-14 Fleet Defender V.2!
  22. Isn't Baltika's North Cape map of any use? http://combatace.com/files/file/12275-north-cape-terrain-beta-for-sf2-by-baltika/ http://combatace.com/files/file/12277-north-cape-hotfix-correction-pak/ And the SF1 version: http://combatace.com/files/file/11891-north-cape-terrain/
  23. I re-read that too a few weeks ago to get me in the mood for SF2:NA (as I'm sure many others did!) I'm currently re-reading Harold Coyle's Sword Point about WW3 fought in Iran - might be a good scenario for Gepard/Wrench's Persian Gulf terrain? Next up I'm alternating between Ian Fleming's James Bond novels and Stephen Hunter's Bob Lee Swagger series, both of which I'm slowly working through as I see them on Ebay - I didn't realise how close some of the Bond movies actually are to the books. Non-fiction military and aviation stuff is slotted in between the novels. BTW anyone know when the next Tom Clancy (Locked On?) is out in paperback? Having said that the last one - Against All Enemies - was one of the worst novels I have ever read! Badly written and badly edited - I don't think TC even had a hand in it except maybe to suggest a scenario.
  24. If you've got the TMF Tomcats and weapons installed and now you can't get AIM-54A missiles for the stock 3W Tomcats try this: 1) Go to your mods folder and navigate to Objects/Weapons 2) Rename the AIM-54A folder to AIM-54A_TMF 3) Go into that folder and then rename the AIM-54A ini file to AIM-54A_TMF 4) Thee is no 4)That's all you need to do. Then when you go into the game the TMF Tomcats will select the AIM-54A_TMF, which will still be called AIM-54A in your loadout screen and the 3W F-14s will select the stock AIM-54A, again called AIM-54A in your loadout screen, which I guess is packed away in one of the CAT files. Works for me anyway.
