In flight MAP

Mr. Jedi, I tweeked the. ini files for fuel tanks, works good on co-op, and instant action, but would their be a way to get it to work on the dogfight configuration where its a free for all? I have a feeling these guys will just want to pair off to a 2 v 2 or something, with out all the other computer generated airplanes and say "you guys head north, you guys go south" then turn around and go to the merg. I'm afraid these guys will run out of gas before they can shoot each other down. Thats why all the intrest in getting extra fuel on board before the fight. Any ideas? -

So does that mean I can only have a 2 v 2 or a 4 v 4? Can you do a 4 v 2, lets say (4) F-4's and (2) F-5's going at it? -

In case you missed my previous posts, the computers are for the "Red River Rat" assc. reunion later in May. I DO have to give the computers back, and am not trying to brag, just need some help to give these "Real Fighter Pilots" a fun time. -
I had all six computers up and running, and all connected via a hub. However, when we hit the map display, the aircraft you were flying was blue, and everybody else was red. So...does anyone know how to fix it so that Blue Air shows up blue only, and Red air showes up as Red only? Lots of fun with 6 computer sims wired togther and flying at the same time!

Can you add fuel tanks?
delta6 replied to delta6's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I thought the same, and made sure each computer was loaded the same files. When I fly a stand alone mission, I can load tanks, rocket pods etc.. But when I fly multi player, I only get missiles & guns. It's like flying the instant action in SF, you just get missiles & guns. Any other ideas or tweeks? -

Cool, does the force feedback work on SF? -
Some of you may have seen my posts where I am trying to hook up eight (8) computers via a router so they can all play together. This is for the Vietnam “River Rat Assc.” Convention which will be in Colorado Springs during the May time frame. I was wondering if anyone else who has played SF PJ1 has done such a feat, and if you had any tips. Most of all, can you get 4 good guys 4 bad guys in this type of configuration? I’m still looking for joysticks and throttles at a cheap price to complete this project. Any idea or suggestions would be most appreciative. Thanks, Delta6

I am located in Colorado Springs, Colo. The event is for the Red River Rat Assc. convention which will be held in Colo Spgs 18 May 2008. My unit has come up and configured 6 computers with SF Project 1. Need 6 joysticks & throttles which seem to be expensive these days to buy for this many simulators. Check out the link when you have time to read more about the River Rat. http://www.river-rats.org/

SF Mod manual
delta6 replied to delta6's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Thanks for the vector. -
Does anyone know where I could obtain joysticks & throttles and maybe rudder peddals by either renting them or borrowing them. As you may have seen in prior posts I'm trying to get 8 computers up and running for the Vietnam River Rat Assc. in May. And I don't have much cash flow to work with. Any ideas from you PC fighter pilots?

I thought at one time someone had put togther a manual for SF that showed you how to use the CAT extract file, and where to go in and mod files, i.e. get rid of the radar on the top right of the screen, and your acft info on the bottom left of the screen. Please help if possible since I have 8 computers with SF that I need to mod. Thanks.

I recently opened my mouth and said I could get 8 computers hooked up to a hub for all off them to fly and fight together. (River Rat Convention in May, Colo Spgs). However, I have modded SF so much over that last 5 years, I can't remember where to get the mods. I got the patches from "Third Wire" website, but can't remember where to get the extractor file to mod HUD display, etc. Help please and any other tips are welcomed.

F-106 Canopy
delta6 replied to delta6's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I took a look at the thread, and went to page 22. I did not see anything specific on the canopy bar. Did I miss something? Also, what file needs to be open to edit? -

Very cool! Thanks -
Does any one know or have the tallent (I know I don't) to change the F-106 canopy to the later "bubble version" then the present canopy configuration? Just a real pain when trying to dog fight!

mock-up cockpits for SF
delta6 replied to delta6's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Great info, thank you much! -
I am currently in charge of putting 4 - 6 aircraft cockpit/simulators together for the VietNam "River Rat" association, so these Viet Nam vets can play Strike Fighters and combat each other after drinking lot of booze. I am trying to find a decent website that sell pre-fab cockpits for home PC computers. I also need some tech support aon how I can rig up thes computer together so they can all fly togther. I know of sites on line to connect to, but worried about speed and performance when you have six guys flying together. Any help would be most greatful.
