  1. Hi, I'm trying to use the MF Su-27 that comes with NF4+ in SF2 (Dec 2009) and there are white cockpit parts (Mainly the HUD frame and some buttons below). Can you tell me what files are missing and where to get? regards
  2. Thanks guys. Cockpit's working fine now.
  3. Good idea. Now why didn't I think of this before? What I do is to go back and edit the plane .ini's one by one to rever to modded form.
  4. I see someone posed F-14D conversion files for SF2E (you will need the original F-14A files from MF) http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=10297 http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=10293
  5. I play DiD ever since. But I don't set everything to hard. Enemy pilot set to Normal Visual cues (boxes) are still tuned on.
  6. Of course gun kills are more satisfying. I'm really happy when I nail a US jet using the Mig-17.
  7. I forced Dx9 in the options.ini to get rid of jumpiness.
  8. In Strike Fighters 2 series. Ini files for terrains limit the country's that are participating. Ini files for the planes limit the country's using the plane.
  9. That's very generous of you. Most forums would prefer external site image hosting than direct uploads.
  10. what's the base sim for this one?
  11. I have mine all merged. SF2+SF2V+SF2E+SF2I I also have a separate SF2E for NF4+ main mod folder is SF2 with a lot of planes and some campaigns flying as reds. SF2V mod folder has the vietnam all in one mod. (uses the merged SF2V.exe) SF2E mod folder has SF2E (uses the standalone SF2E.exe)
  12. Audio feedback = "bombs away" Do you actually hear something in real life?
  13. Merc campaigns to fly all planes from other titles. And the desert terrain has no country restriction so more variety. What I mean is that if you create a mission in SF2E, then your planes are limited to Nato vs. Warsaw. If you create a mission in SF2V, then you get US vs. Vietnam. When you create an SF2 mission int he desert terrain, you can pit any blue plane against any combination of red planes. Only here will the mission generator pick the Chinese, Argentinian, etc. planes (if you added them) as your opponents.
  14. OT What Job do you do?

Banker. I wish I had the knack to run my own business. Would love to do it but don't have the guts and have no idea on what to do in the first place.
  15. Here's my setup. SF2 + SF2V + SF2E + SF2I merged. SF2E separate install June 2009b. In my mod folders (Saved Games) I have: 1) StrikeFighters 2 (with addional planes, unlocked red planes, Red Wings Over Dimar Campaign, SF2I "Fly them all" Six Day war mod) 2) StrikeFighters 2 Vietnam (using the All-in-One Ground War mod) 3) StrikeFighters 2 Europe (NF4+) Running SF2 exe will make use of the StrikeFighters 2 mod folder. I can play any stock campaign and stock terrain here from any game and fly all the planes in the mod directory. More toys for the mercenaries. :D Running SF2 V exe will make use of the StrikeFighters 2 Vietnam folder. Here I can play the All-in-One Ground War mod with both North and South Vietnam maps. Running SF2 E exe (from different install directory - not part of the merged install) will make my play NF4+. This was required because SF2I broke 3rd party terrains (latest patch fixed this). I dunno if I will use the same scheme as SF2 V. But looks like the modders are maintaining on keeping compatibility up to June 2009b patch only. In a merged install, you can actually put them all in the main SF2 mod folders but this makes maintaining massive mods (NF4+ and the Vietnam All-in-One Ground War Mod) more difficult especially when they release patches... so I keep them separate.
  16. If there's so much effort, why not do a proper NF5 from ground up? :D
  17. Great mod. Enjoying a lot. Su-25 / Su-27 cockpits have some white parts. Gina resulting into a catastrophic Blue Screen of Death. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just me?
  18. I think the point is to avoid using this mod with a game patched up to October 09 standards which SF2I provides. Or is it strictly not to be used with any merged install?
  19. Oh No! I want this merged. Can I just ignore the terrain mods and use stock?
  20. I noticed better terrain graphics than WOI. Did this improvement cause all the terrain problems?
  21. Better cockpit graphics. Better avionics = More modern RWR. A lot of little changes under the hood... You can now merged install of all SF2 series games seamlessly. Easier modding. No more multiplayer. No new planes, in fact the F-104 is not flyable anymore.
