Copying The WoI F-16 to WoE?

oh it does work that way too :) Now i have a fully working WOI F-16A in WOE :) Thanks What impressed me is that i didn't had to do anything regarding the loadouts/weapons. Pythons are already installed in WoE? ... OT Something else i brought over from WoI is the environment data. From the first time i ran WoI i saw a very clear difference in lighting quality. The light was much more realistic and pleasant in WoI than WoE. Even the october08 patch didnt change that in WoE. I copied the WoI environment files in WoE and voila feels like a new environment indeed! so much more realistic. Together with the widesky clouds edit (i didn't use the rest of this mod) and the Brain32 tiles (+CA_Stary trees) its like looking at FSX with a good payware F-16 addon :P (*) plus theres a working combat side (just noting the known, for a FSX addon price you get a whole simulator title from TK) -

So in WoI, structure wise, unlike WoE (SF, WoV), decals is a separate folder inside each skin folder? For example each skin folder has their own decals folder? and what has to be edited is the filenameformat where the correct path of the decal graphics is indicated? -

shouldn't decal files just be copied in the WoE Objects>decals folder? -
i wish at least some of these companies (EA, activision etc) would had bought those studios instead

we are reaching i believe margins and saturation of certain way of thinking, living & attitudes ... the ones that are money revolving, money centered, money oriented, money gloryfying, money worshiping, the results of greed, self centering, and accepting as natural that the very same jungle rules , the rule of the survival of the strongest, can perfectly apply to modern human societies.

i think thats another bad bit on the negative aspect of MS image ...

i feel nostalgic already .... FSX rocks ... always liked the thing but especially the X version, i fell in love with it ... What a contradiction, the finest version so far, a masterpiece of combined technology, aviation beauty, fun, creativity, design, heart put into making something beautiful to share with lot of people globally , one of the few little things to have in common globally, no matter the culture ... for all i care, it was just coincidence windows instead of some other OS are that widespread, i could be as well just be a macos user, MS contributed little in a global sense to my opinion, except palmers and gates pockets, but FS ...... FS is maybe the only interesting and worthwhile thing MS offered ... and for so many years .... I still have the aviation magazines i first saw an ad in about a thing such as flight simulator for your personal computer back in the early 80s as a kid ... it was the FS (not MS property yet back then i guess) .... This thing SHOULD not be left for dead ....... The only good thing maybe would be that as hardware will carry on becoming faster and cheaper (will it really? ...) and given that there wont be newer FS versions, the thing will be easier to run more smoothly and in higher detail in the newer hardware ... personally i wouldnt mind if the FS graphics stay the way they are for another decade LOL it rocks in this aspect as it is ..

Personally, i do like training a lot, i am finding it extremely fun and interesting. Focus on training equally as on action is, to just my personal taste, a great concept. Can't imagine though a sim that can do training but can't do combat ..

why, i have always felt that, FighterOps wont go anywhere worthwhile not in time enough at least ... By the time FO would have something like the first public beta of Lomac , most probably DigitalCombatSimulation (Black shark) would have launched their F-16 module already (and an apache, and warthog too maybe) . Theres a rule in general that i have witnessed applying around, that the more flashy and loudly something promoted and quite bothered about their promotional image the less actual result you get .... Personally i like how ED and TK operate. One being some sort of corporation (even supplying A-10 simulation material for USAF?) and the other just a sole flight sim fanatic, they both do operate. FO to me has always being just another of the many F4 related more or less thin air blah blah blah apparel, blah blah blah fancy graphics signatures blah blah blah static 3dmax render blah blah blah i got old and seen anything close to a simulator yet . IF i would see anything convincing and promising rather than a flashy surface with no content i would probably pay to help speed things up and keep it alive especially since its supposed to be community welded and not corporate, just because i am romantic, but still doesn't make much sense, in the making sense ... sense.

Thanks :) But, is the GUI (load screens, menus, settings etc) linked to the in-game resolution and aspect ratio? (or independent?) For example if i find out that the most appealing in-game resolution in my supposedly 16:10 monitor is lets say a full screen 1068x1050 (not centered downscaled etc) will the GUI also have this resolution or will it be a magnified 1024X768 ? Will it be undistorted like the actual game or will it have its own rigid setup and appear distorted ? etc Does the GUI maybe have provisions and different display elements and aspect ration design acording to aspect rations and resolutions ? (for example a common 1024x768 for 4:3/5:4 aspect ratio resolutions and a 1068x1050 for 16:10/16:9 ones ) And i am not asking about TW series only, its a question about other sims as well, LockOn, FSX, etc Ofcourse every game have i suppose its own different GUI aspect ration & reesolution behavior, just curious, in general, is it common or not occuring at all to have distorted and pixelated (inflated bitmap images) game GUIs on wide screens? :) -

Ofcourse. Definitely. Just posted for the rest of the population, to show off as usual my google skills :P :P Oh i forgot to mention that the radar also is based on the brit Blue Vixen radar (equiping the upper dupper (and weirdly again retired) Sea Harrier FA2 ) -

Brits have a solid background in aircraft design. Aviation marvels have been designed and got built in Britain unofrtunately many of them to just end up canceled projects. They always designed amazing planes, they can do that. Its their weird politics and strategies that have been chocking up their thrive in aviation to its deserved potential. Not the case with Typhoon though. Although it took ages to get finished, (its to my perception, a plane based on the principles and facts of third generation fighters, i consider it the outmost third generation epilogue rather than a forth generation, its core, its design principles are third generation, not far lets say than maybe what an F16XL with two engines would had been) its essentialy a Brit design. It was based on a brit study , the EAR/EFA and the engine was also based on a RR (XM40 something) engine study. The final product ofcourse would be only possible with the contribution of all those countries mainly in financial terms, as a result theres a big number of planes being built , which is a key element in a projects survivability, and its price is only 10% more of a mirage 2000-5 ............... -
