  1. And of course keep in mind if the missile you just fired is fire and forget or if you need to keep radar lock on your target until it hits. Made the mistake myself of firing a missile and then going back to search mode before the missile hit and then it just stops tracking and dies.
  2. First you tell me I post too many screenshots, then that I need to post more? Make up your mind! Also you just spammed up this thread with one post without a screenshot with that. Um, okay, before I get banned here is a picture too. I think either they scheduled the landings too close together or its two grown up planes making little planes.
  3. If I get a lock on warning I use chaff, if not I use flares. I use both if I am painted but unsure of what is being fired. It doesn't help much to use only chaff if someone paints you with their radar but fires a heatseeker. You can often guess what is being fired though. If its long enough range it is probably not a heatseeker, and if you don't get a warning it is probably not radar guided.
  4. Thanks. I surprised myself with that one
  5. This tank will have a malfunction in the very near future
  6. Maybe the weapons panel shows the positions as if viewing the plane from the front? Not from behind or like through a mirror or from above. Does not make sense to me to have it that way for the pilot but at least then the positions somewhat match. Edit : I do not actually play LOMAC and in SFG the in cockpit panel does not actually seem to work 100% but I see the AIM-9 appear on the left in that panel where the ECM is. The only thing I can get to match with the positions is the loadout screen where you select your weapons, wich is viewed from the front also.
  7. Airliner makes emergency landing in Hudson River

I was in a car once that lost control because it had to brake suddenly and ended up in the ditch. Cars aren't safe! I am never riding in or driving a car again! Okay so maybe a passenger jet ditching in a river is a little bit more dramatic, but a car out of control can cost me my life too. I am not actually serious about never getting in a car again anyway. I think people in an air incident are probably more shook up than people in a car incident because it lasts much longer. A near accident in a car is generally over in seconds. In a plane it's minutes. Also you have a lot more people around you in a plane and a group of anxious people may boost the anxiety of each individual. But probably the strongest reason is in a plane you have a long time to think "I may die" and in a car its more like "I almost died". Afterwards thinking back of each situation. Sitting for a long time to wait to find out if you are going to die or not is probably a lot more traumatic than realizing afterwards. Amateur psychology session is over, see you next week.
  8. That llama song made me recall the badger song, wich was awesome when I was flying a badger on a strike mission with a nuke. Badgers, mushrooms in the form of clouds.. the only thing missing was a snake. Hey do those llamas come in different camo types?
  9. lol yeah you might be right. I can see a flaw in the design though, unless its meant to be landing brakes only.
  10. I think I may have pulled one G too many or we may have done one too many budget cuts with the cheaper floor material for the pit.
  11. Inappropriate level of force? Anti ship missile vs guy in sandbag fort. Well I carried that heavy thing all the way out here and was not about to carry it all the way back home again. I keep breaking rules it seems. I hope this one is ok now. I am pretty sure it was more than 24 hours since my last image
  12. Are you getting a little box moving between the blips on the radar? Some radar ranges may not let you lock a target but you have to set a shorter search range.
  13. The roof came off! its a convertible!
  14. I used to have that really old wingman extreme as well back in the days when we were all still playing with 486es. I loved that grip. Unfortunately it is dead since long.
  15. umm.. where did my other images go? are we limited to one screenie per post?
  16. Ran out of fuel before I could make it back to base, had to land on a public road and ask the locals for directions to the nearest gas station that sells jet fuel.
  17. There was mention of doing damage to yourself with a bomb. I have cluster bombed myself too. I think I flew lower than where the bomb normally fragments into the bomblets so it kind of just blew up on my wing.
  18. Think you can hide from me in the channel do you? I shall not give up pursuit!
  19. A little video I made

I recorded a bit of Strike Fighters Gold gameplay and put music to it. This is the result http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01r3-_EpZLA Hope someone likes it.
  20. A little video I made

Song : Dogfight Artist : M.O.V.E Instead of looking for M.O.V.E you may have better luck looking for Initial D
  21. Do you fly for your own country in sims?

I like to fly swedish planes, representing my country or not. Of course, sweden has not been represented a lot in air combat sims. Probably because we have not been in any wars where we had aircraft. I remember when back in the day on my Atari ST I got this little game called FighterBomber and the Viggen was in it. That was just pure awesome to me, and the first time I flew a swedish aircraft in a game. Ever since then I have taken any chance I get. When swedish fighters are not available though I tend to fly whatever is represented in the sim I am playing, wich most often has been american ones. If several nations are represented then that depends on the era and what hardware is available. I tend to go with wich aircraft I like best rather than what nation they fly for.
  22. quick hello for a noobie
