I have not gotten a set yet, so I have not had a chance to cop a feel, so to speak. :) I have heard from a few guys in Europe who have gotten theirs, and they say that the feel is very nice. A nice positive feedback pushing all the way through the axis. Toe brakes do not move much, so no real tactile feedback there, but they work really nice. So I have heard. Until I get a set ton review, I can't confirm these comments, or make any judgements. Sorry. :( -Skater skater@biohazcentral.com

I d/l'ed it on April 2. It's been on my desktop ever since. Yes, it also stretched very clean at 1600x1200 on my machine. -Skater

Ok, sound off in here. Tell me what you thought about my first article. I'm putting on my flak jacket as we speak . :) -Skater

Thanks Jeff! Well, the answer to that is a bit complex. The ink has a waxy feel to it. Almost as if the paper had the image ironed on it, like those old T-Shirts from the 80's. It looks fantastic, but durability is an issue. Under most circumstances, you would be ok. No degradation whatsoever. However, under high heat conditions, say the dashboard of a car sitting in the hot sun for a few hours, you are gonna see some melted ink blobs on your paper. As for fading under UV light... Not really. The ink will melt from heat before you see fading happen. Heat is the major problem, otherwise, it's a pretty durable print medium. -Skater

I am doing an interview with the makers of the new Simped Vario Pro F-16+ rudders. Sound off here or in e-mail as to what questions you would like me to ask. Deadline for questions is Saturday. A review of the pedals will be OTW as soon as I get a set to test them out. -Skater skater@biohazcentral.com

Keep on trolling... Just remember, we'll give you a lot of rope with which to hang yourself. If you continue to troll, be aware that you can get bounced for such behavior. Just a warning. Keep it civil and sane. Emphasis on the sane. -Skater

British Airways says that they are going to retire the Concorde. They say there was too little demand and that the planes are too expensive to fly and maintain. I think they will be flying until the end of this year and then... No more SST. At least not from British Airways. That just leaves the Frogs of Air France, but I don't think that they will continue flight after this year either, but they have not said whether Concorde flights will continue of not. I was lucky enough to have flown on the Concorde twice, once on British Airways and once on Air France, both times working for the same company. I must say, British Airways is a MUCH nicer experience. Those Brits really know how to take care of a passenger. Their Concorde service will surely be missed. A big S! to the Concorde. -Skater

Thanks for the update. Heard a brief blurb on the news about BA, but nothing about AF. -Skater

That would be cheap. They flew me there both times on the C, but I came back on a regular flight. There was no time issue on the way back, so I had to stick it out in business class (But I had the miles for a 1st class upgrade both times, miles rule!). The only reason for taking the C in the first place was that I had to be on site like yesterday. It was almost $11K on BA ONE WAY, and nearly $12K on AF ONE WAY. I have heard of $25K round trip prices before. Don't know what it is now, but I suspect that the market dictates the price of luxury flights like these. -Skater

First deliveries of F-16A were in 1976 I think... Hill AFB in Utah was first I think. First deliveries of F-15A were in 1975 to the 1st TFW at Langley. Tail code is FF. -Skater -

Good question! I am 6'4" myself, and some pedals have my knees and thighs scraping along the underside of the desk. Very annoying. I actually have to height adjust the desk, which throws everything else off of course. :) Great question. -Skater

Thanks SD! Keep those questions coming guys. Excellent questions SD. -Skater

No problem Sledge... http://peter.madel.bei.t-online.de/index.htm I'm working on a new article dealing with these pedals. Stay tuned! Also, I hope to have a review of them really soon as well. -Skater

Thanks guys. Very much appreciated. I'll be posting my first review very soon. Looks like I'll be finished writing it by early next week, just so you know I'm not sleeping on the job. :) I just hope you guys like my style of writing. Thanks for the warm welcome. -Skater

Got word from Peter Madel recently that they are now available and they are currently shipping the pre-orders. They are expensive at 270 Euros. That works out to something like $295. Quite a lot of scratch for a set of rudders. Yeah, I bought one anyway! :) -Skater

Oh... and here's a pic of my wife's new tattoo. I finally talked her into getting one. I've got 5. The more I cover myself up, the better looking I get. :)

Here's a pic of my ugly mug, having fun at a 718th TFW member's apartment in NYC. Drinking beer as usual! :)

Really only two choices... Let the mobo handle it, or disable the smart function and run the fan at high-speed. If you are overclocking, run the fan at high-speed at all times. If not overclocking, you may want to allow the mobo's smart fan functionality. However, if you have multiple hard drives, or you have a crowded case interior, you may want to run the fan in high-speed at all times simply to icrease the amount of air circulating inside the case. HDD's usually provide most of the heat inside the case. Stagnant non-moving air will kill your drives, CPU, and mobo. I usually leave the smart functionalityy flapping in the wind. High-speed on all fans and wear a pair of headphones to drown out the noise! :) -Skater
