Your Dad was a TI there when I went through basic training.........June 1974. I think I was assigned to the 3906 BMTS. In fact, I'm sure of it. What an experience............lol. I'm hoping they pull this reunion off.........really looking forward to going back and taking a look at the place. Oooops.....got the date wrong...he was there a couple of months after I got there. Sorry about that. -

I was stationed at Kadena twice. The first time from 1982 to 1987 and then from 1989 to 1995. I remember Kadena Circle well. I loved Okinawa...........comes in second to the Philippines. The Army was kind of a lonely club there on Okinawa. The Air Force and Marines dominated the island. I spent a little time in Canada myself. I was TDY to Goose Bay, Labrador in 1975. The Air Force had KC-135 tankers on alert up there. Man............did it ever get cold up there, but, it sure was beautiful. -

No.....never spent any time there except for the 6 weeks or so of tech school. Its been so long, I can't remember how long the school was........lol. Graduated out of there in September of 1974. Never have been back to Lackland since. Some of the old blue berets from the 18th Security Police Squadron at Kadena AB are trying to plan a reunion there at the academy next year. I hope they get it planned, would really like to get back to Lackland and see how much its changed. -

24 years United States Air Force Security Forces. I loved every minute of it. Thanks to all of you for your past and continued service. -
I think I got it up and running.................I did some tweaking of the NVIDIA card in the control center and the game using all the suggestions found here in the forum. I've flown three quick combat missions and two campaign missions (and died.....lol) and everything seems to be working fine (knock on wood). Thank you all so much for the help. Its really appreciated. This is a great game and an even better community.

Thanks for all the input..................the runtime errors that I'm getting are occuring immediately after I attempt to exit a free flight mission from the quick combat screen. I've done another reinstallation using Uncleal's inputs and patched the game all the way to 1.47. I've attempted to fly three free flight missions from quick combat and have experienced the runtime 480 error after each flight. After the second one I attempted to move the sliders back a notch. That didn't help. I'm hoping someone might have some other suggestions short of reloading windows again. Looking forward to a response. Thanks.

I've noticed several posts and I've done one myself on runtime 480 error messages. I started having problems with the error messages about 3 weeks ago right after I loaded the 1.47 patch for HITR. I've NEVER had any problem with the game up until that time. Since then I've reinstalled BHAH and HITR four times. I'm still encountering the error messages. I reloaded BHAH and installed up to the 1.32g patch tonight and received the runtime error message. The runtime error always occurs after I fly some type of mission, quick combat, campaign mission, etc. I'm at my wits end. I've tried everything I can think of to fix the problem, i.e., running gamebooster to turn off unnecessary background programs, run cc cleaner, registry cleaners, and moved the sliders down a notch in CONFIG. I did a complete reinstall of Windows XP in December. I'm hoping that someone can tell me what I need to do to get the game running properly. My specs are listed below: Dell Inspiron 530 Intel® Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz Galaxy GE Force 9600GT Low Power/Profile Video Card w/512 MB of Video RAM 4 GIG of RAM My sliders in config are 3, 4, 2, 2, 3, 2 Eagerly awaiting a response and let me know what other information you need. Thanks for the help.

Runtime Error Message/No Maps on Pilot Enlistment
K. Lynn replied to K. Lynn's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yes sir.................I've got them all installed. I started having the runtime errors when I installed the 1.47 patch. I've found a couple of threads where folks have had the same problem, but, no real solutions to the problem were listed. One guy said he tweaked his video card settings and got it to work. I've tried all that myself, using the suggestions for NVIDIA cards in the FAQ/Installation area of the forum. No luck. I reset the image quality settings in the graphics config to 3 4 3 3 4 3, still no luck. I think I'm going to reinstall everything and leave out the 1.47 patch and see what happens. -
Runtime Error Message/No Maps on Pilot Enlistment

I don't think I'm having any heat issues, however, I could be wrong on that. I'll do some looking around and check the ratings for the card. I have a 350W power supply in the CPU, so I don't think there's a problem there. I'll also check out the stickies and see if I can get some help there. If not, I'll be back asking some questions. Thanks for your help. Its really appreciated. -

I'm hoping I can get some help......just downloaded the HITR 1.47 patch and I'm having some problems with it. I apologize........I wasn't able to get a screenshot of the error message as my system crashed. I'm getting a "runtime error 480: can't recreate auto redraw image." It happened after my first campaign mission on a scramble. I also encountered problems when enlisting the pilot..........the map that is normally there is blank except for the small aircraft icons. I'll try to get a screenshot of it and post it later. I'm hoping somebody could give me some suggestions or advice on how to fix it. System specs are listed below. Ok......got it. Thanks to all of you for the help.

I just got my Trackir 4 about a week ago. It works fine when flying in the pilot position. For some reason, I can't get it to work on the rear gun in the two seaters. I know its probably something I'm doing or not doing. I was hoping that someone could give me a little help with it. Thanks.
