Thanks Ataribaby I have to update my Arab/Red campaigns with a link to your latest Mig-21 update. I'm usually using TW's original _data.ini files for FM. What do you think about it? -
Happy 4th of July to all our American friends.

I spent a lot of hours with five of the titles above, but one stand above all others as a break through for it's time. It is very difficult for me to choose one of them, but I choose CYAC. Guyran

I've got a mail from Alex S. the modder of FG forever - The link for downloading the game is on again.

The download link is dead, Viper. Do you have another link?

Any improvements Dave, before going off roading with the new Jeep? Like belly armor (or road armor), differential lock, suspension lift kit? The belly armor at least is a must, before going into serious off roading, in order to protect the Jeep from further expensive damage.

I see Janes is winning. I've missed this one. What was so special in this sim above all others?
-
Who is old enough to remember this flight sim?
-
The Yeager was on 4 360KB black floppy disks. Got it as a present for my Birthday. The mission was 'Scramble at dawn' IIRC I also liked the KAW 'mig alley' missions with first jets. It was a great sim for it's time, covering 3 wars, with lot of flyable planes.

With the 'retro mood' each game is count. Your young age is also count. Most of us here are from the 'oldies club'.

The Aces over ... series and 1942 were also my favorites, in the old days.

I have Toyota Landcruiser 120 (4x4) with longer wheel base than the Wrengler. I have no special problems off roading with it. Have fun Dave and good luck. guyran

guyran replied to ordway's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Thanks, Ordway. Is it good for the IAI Saar too? guyran -
Acceptable with one condition, Dave. That you keep on your logo (I support Israel) for at least one more week, since we already paid for it. guyran

Status Report 1948/1956 Mods
guyran replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Dave, I had the same problem in My Arab Six Days War. The solution is within Paul's RJAF HUNTER F.6 / F.73 collection Look there for independent Hunter's cockpit. No SF2:Europe is needed. -
1948 War for Independence Campaign
guyran replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Dave, From what I've seen so far in this topic, your 1948 War of independence campaign, is so big and comprehensive, beyond a simple campaign, with at least three new flyable planes, you deserve to call it: SF2I Exp2 – War of independence Do you think TK will grant the permission to use the Expansion2 designation? 50 cal gun converance for wing guns
guyran replied to FalconC45's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
This is not a problem, since you can always separate them into primary and secondary gun, with different keystroke for each. -
Historic mission: First jets kill over Israel
guyran posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
File Name: Historic mission: First jets kill over Israel File Submitter: guyran File Submitted: 29 May 2010 File Category: SF Series Add On Missions and Campaigns Historic mission: First jets kill over Israel After IDF attacks on terrorists bases (Fedayoon) in the Gaza strip on August 1955, the EAF start penetrating the aerial borders of Israel. On September 1, 1955, a formations of four Vampires has crossed the border into Israel, northern to the Gaza Strip. Captain Aharon Yoeli in a Meteor FR-9 (no. 36) and Captain Yoash Tzidon his wingman, from the 117 first jet squadron, were inside the cockpit, on the runway of Hatzor AB, in an intercept standby. As soon as the aerial control unit has identified the invasion, the two Meteors were scrambled. They were vectored into an intercept course with the approaching EAF Vampires. During the airfight that follows, over the Mediterranean Sea coast, near Ashkelon, two Vampires were killed by Aharon Yoeli in Meteor 36. The EAF command soon announced that, two Vampires on a training mission had mid air collision. This was the first jet kill ever, by the Israeli Air Force, and the first air kill since the 1948 war of Independence. Flyable aircraft: IAF Meteor F-8 EAF Vampire FB52 To install: Unrar into a separate folder. Drop everything into the similar folder on the SF2I Exp1 mod directory, overwriting files if asked to.
