What a great idea!!! Love it, short and sweet, but still gives a good picture on the missions flown. Hope you don't mind me joining in on this idea as well. -

Nightshift82 replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
Just took her for a quick spin in NF4, and I have only one question. Were the DT's supposed to stay on the plane? I've tried to punch them off and they don't budge. Just wanted to know if it's a bug or the real deal. Thanks. -
How do I get this radio chatter to be heard in game?
Nightshift82 replied to ktickner6767's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Add the wav. file to your sounds folder be sure it's named windloop. And go into your soundlist ini. in your flight folder, and you need to change the windloop entry to this: [WindLoop] Priority=NORMAL 3DSound=FALSE FrequencyControl=FALSE NumBuffers=1 Looped=TRUE -

+1 When all the utilities and and titles are updated to SF2 "standards" things will be eaiser and better. For example, the stock cockpits are way better than before, screenshots are in jpg format, so no need to resize them to show them off here, and mods, if a mod is acting screwy all you need to do is delete it and the game will revert to using stock stuff insted of messing about and eventully having to delete the whole game and reinstall. No need to overwrite anything stock. All above all merged installs, that means more planes for the SF2 merc campaign! -
WOE (NATO Fighters III) Canadian CF-5A CAP
Nightshift82 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
While waiting for the Noi Bai Airbase bug to be fixed in SF2V I'm attempting to finish the campaigns I've started in WOE. I would like to also say many thanks to the team who brought NF3 to us. I've been playing with FRAPS a little more, and recorded this on a CAP over East Germany in September 1979. Hope you enjoy. -

Anyone else getting targets at airfeilds most of the time? 5 sorties in (Rolling Thunder VF-96) and that's all I've been assigned to hit, either runways or fuel tanks at airfeilds. -

I went into my options ini. and "pointed" it to pull all mods from strike fighters 2. Double check in SF2V and in SF2, may just do the trick. [Mods] ModsEnabled=TRUE Directory=C:\Users\Administrator\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Now if I can get those missing files from the Brain32 repaint, I'll be one happy camper. -

CF-5A and Sidewinders in WOE (NATO Fighters III)
Nightshift82 posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I've started the Red Lightning Campaign (1979) with the CF-5A. I can only load AIM-9B's on the sidewinder stations on the CF-5A, is this on purpose? Or is there something that needs to be changed? I've checked the weapon data for the 'winders and it shows the USAF 'winders to be both US and NATO users with the same start dates for the USAF and NATO. I fact, there is only 4 weapons types (mk 82's, mk. 82 snakeye's, AIM-9B's, and LAU-3/A's) and 2 types of tanks that I can choose period. Thanks in advance. -
