File Name: HPW Rear Guns File Submitter: Herr Prop-Wasche File Submitted: 31 March 2011 File Category: Modding Tools and Add-on Software Readme File 31/3/2011 ------------ HPW Rear Guns Bullet Spread Mod by Herr Prop Wasche Zip file contents: HPW Rear Guns mod folder and subfolders HPWRearGunsReadme.txt Mod Description: The HPW Rear Guns Bullet Spread mod adjusts the Less Accurate setting in the Rear Guns selection box located in Workshop to make the rear guns for the AI observer somewhat less accurate than it is in the stock game. Please note that this mod does NOT alter either the Normal or the Accurate settings for the AI observer, on the theory that users who prefer these settings are masochists already who do not wish the bullet spread for the AI to be watered down any further. Instead, this mod is intended for those who feel the AI at the Less Accurate setting in the stock game is still just a little too accurate. ####EXTREMELY IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS#### This mod should be used ONLY with Jonesoft's Generic Mod Enabler. ALSO, BECAUSE THIS MOD ALTERS SOME WORKSHOP SETTINGS, ANOTHER COPY OF THE JSGME PROGRAM MUST *FIRST* BE INSTALLED INSIDE THE PARENT OBDSoftware FOLDER--NOT THE CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields FOLDER!! THIS WILL CREATE A SEPERATE MODS FOLDER LOCATED INSIDE THE OBDSoftware FOLDER. COPY OR EXTRACT THE HPW REAR GUNS FOLDER AND SUBFOLDERS INTO THIS NEW MODS FOLDER!! To activate the mod, you must run the JSGME program LOCATED INSIDE YOUR OBDSoftware FOLDER and then click on the HPW Rear Guns file. Do not worry about having two copies of JSGME installed in OFF. I have tested this out and it does not seem to cause any issues with either OFF or my system. Just make sure you copy or extract the gun mod to the correct copy of JSGME, located inside the OBDSoftware folder. ####EXTREMELY IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS#### VERSION HISTORY Initial release ------------ Thank you for downloading and using the HPW Rear Guns Bullet Spread Mod. I hope that it adds to your enjoyment of Over Flanders Fields and HITR. I would again like to express my thanks and appreciation to OBD Software for all of their help and encouragement. Of course, with the exception of the small tweaks contained herein, all work remains the sole work and property of OBD software. If you have any questions or experience any problems with the installation of this mod, you can reach me at www.combatace.com at the Over Flanders Field forum. Click here to download this file

HPW Rear Guns
Herr Prop-Wasche replied to Herr Prop-Wasche's topic in WOFF UE/PE - File Announcements
Sorry to have missed these replies--I guess I haven't been scrolling down far enough. Are you talking about the main guns mod or the rear guns mod? The main guns mod makes changes to all of the settings, while the rear guns mod changes only the "Less Accurate" setting because few, if any, people use the other settings. Although the OFF folder names for "Hard, Normal, and Easy" are confusing, the names and files are correct. In this case, "Hard" applies to the difficulty the AI reargunner has in shooting at YOU. I toned this down a little in the mod so the AI reargunner is a little more inaccurate. The rear guns mod does NOT change the settings for human reargunners. Hope that clears things up. Let me know how you like the mods. -
Is it just me, or are things getting sorta steamy around here? At least the rigs are cool!

P4 DEVELOPMENT SCREENSHOTS UPDATED
Herr Prop-Wasche replied to Polovski's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
OMFG!! Some of those screenies are just jaw-dropping beautiful, Pol! Who am I kidding? They are all jaw-dropping beautiful! The cockpits, the scenery--I am particularly impressed by the improved towns and cities, complete with church spires and more. And the integration of the trees with the houses and buildings is also much improved! I'm afraid that when I first get P4, I will be crashing much too much from admiring the scenery and forgetting to check my six! Simply fantastic! -
OT: What else are you playing right now besides OFF?
Herr Prop-Wasche replied to Javito1986's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Before I learned about OFF and P3, I used to play SH3 frequently. In fact, I started modding in SH3 by helping with the RealWeatherFix and developing my SinkingShipFix mod. However, after I installed P3 I don't think I've been back to SH3 since! It's still installed on my computer, however, so I may as yet give it another go. -

Keep us updated on your progress. We computer nerds all love to follow the trials and tribulations of a new computer build! Seriously, good luck with the new computer. I'm sure you will be back up and running in no time. -
A 21 gun salute for your fallen pilot!* *Not sure if that is historically accurate, but what the hay! Drinks are on me!

OT; CPU Cooler Information Overload..
Herr Prop-Wasche replied to Lewie's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I've been delving more into the world of CPU cooling and I have another question. I have a relatively old MB of the Asus NForce 4 variety. I've noticed that most of today's coolers have 4-pin fan connectors, but my MB seems to be of the 3-pin variety. Can anyone recommend a 3-pin heatsink, fan combo? -

Receiving works for me, and sounds better to my American-English ears. Another possibility (just throwing out some alternatives) might be "absorbing" or perhaps "sucking in." It's fascinating how different languages have so many words that cannot be directly translated into other languages, for example, zeitgeist or gestalt. -

Thanks, Parky. I assume TIM is the thermal grease stuff? I think I have an old tube of Arctic Silver around somewhere... -
The OFF Poetry Corner
Herr Prop-Wasche replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
This is an excellent thread, and I hate to intrude with my own crude and uninformed observation. HOWEVER, my suggestion for the word you may be looking for in line 3 might be thus: "Now we stand before our graves, cradling Death, to come to our End." To me, cradling catches the idea of holding or caressing something dear, or something longed for. Fielding sounds a little too sterile to me. Otherwise, a most excellent effort by both of you. The translated words indeed convey a very dark, sad, and troubled man. -

Congratulations, Olham! A water-cooling solution! You are "loaded for bear," as we say in the States. It's obvious that you have very little interest in historically accurate simulations of WW1 air combat! -

Dummy question about jsgme
Herr Prop-Wasche replied to DonL's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
JSGME stands for JoneSoft Generic Mods Enabler. You can install JSGME in either of two places in OFF, or in BOTH places. For every mod that is out there except for my Front Guns Mod and my Rear Guns Mod, you should install the JSGME exe file into your OBDSoftware\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields folder. The Front and Rear Guns Mods requires a second copy of JSGME to be installed in your OBDSoftware folde--the one above the CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields folder. Don't worry about the technical details, suffice it to say that I screwed up when I first made a mod for OFF and suggested people use JSGME and place it in the CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields folder. It can go in the OBDSoftware folder just as easily and actually makes more sense to be there. However, having two copies of JSGME in your OFF installation will not cause any problems with your computer. Just make sure to put the specific mod in the correct place. I hope I haven't confused you even further with this.... -
