Aother game I play that is also having trouble with Windows 7 is Links 2003. This game (also a Microsoft product like CFS3) appears to work fine for those with ATI cards but not at all for NVidia Users on the new Windows OS. I am just wondering if the problem with OFFis specifically related to Nvidia cards/drivers like Links seems to be?
-
Thanks for the advice but I have tried all these suggestions. It still wont work for me.
-
Just upgraded to windows 7 64 bit. Cant get this game running at all now. Have Nvidia GTX 280 graphics card and latest drivers........ (will try older drivers when I can be arsed) I start the game and keep getting - OFF MAN fatal error reading INI File error blah blah blah, Recomend you uninstall and reinstall OFF. I've just tried this 3 times, I am now officially bored. Never mind.

Pah, it looks like its got lost in the post (in other words a thieving postie has half inched it!)

My copy of Wings was dispatched by Play.com on the 16th October. I still haven't got it yet, however I've received the Ace Frehley CD that was sent out on the 22nd October. Grrrr.. is this the posties strike holding it up or has it got lost in transit.

O/T: What other hobbies do you like?
Davy TASB replied to OvS's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Newcastle United..... s**te though they are these days, are my main hobby. Also like... Heavy Rock Music (Zep, Metallica, Alice In Chains, Rammstein)with the odd bit of acoustic music or Neil Young thrown in for good measure. A bit of golf and Motor Sports now and then, not forgetting playing racing/flight sims/strategy games on the PC. Did I mention watching Por......... oops, forget that bit! :english_en: -
Rise of Flight: Two aircraft released/unlocked today!
Davy TASB replied to ArgonV's topic in General Discussions
I was going to order Rise Of Flight this morning but Aerosoft in there wisdom have decided that £39.99 UK Pounds is the same equivelant as £39.99 US Dollars. It would cost enough to build up a decent collection of add on planes as it is without being charged nearly twice as much for the sim than people from other countries. -
Post a pic of your town
Davy TASB replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
The locals are now nationally referred to by the name of Smogmonsters! Middlesbrough (Teesside) used to have a thriving Steelworks, Chemical Industry and Shipyards. Unfortunately, most of these are fastly disappearing or being run down so the unemployment in the area is probably worse than it should be. The town is undergoing quite a bit of regeneration these days however. (Rabu - Did you look at the other links I posted, the ones with the nicer bits in them! The North East of England is not a bad place to live really) -

To be fair, although "the Boro" is a bit of a dump in some places, some of the surrounding areas just minutes away from the town are very nice, Have a look see. Middlesbrough and Tees Valley -

Yep, unfortunately it seems to be getting quite a mauling on Sim HQ off quite a lot of people.

I have noticed that the RoF "cheerleaders" have gone missing in action since all of the complaints have started! After reading the RoF Technical support page, I'm glad I haven't bought it yet.
-
I will probably (not definitely) buy this sim in the future but only if and when more content is added to it. For me, the internet connection thing doesn't bother me too much but the lack of British planes and the general lack of content is stopping me from buying this. As it stands it doesn't really seem to be a WW1 sim as much as a Spad v Fokker dogfight game. (I also want to know how much the extra planes would cost to buy before I committed myself to paying for RoF because us Brits often get the piss taken out of us with the prices we are charged for things.) Still, great oaks from little acorns and all that!
-
You are right about that, this is most certainly isn't anything like it. A WW1 Flight sim being released without any British aircraft in the sim. Very realistic, I must say!
-
I may or may not eventually decide to buy RoF seeing as I am basically a single player gamer. However , I DEFINITELY wont be buying it if no British flyable planes are included in the boxed copy. A World War 1 Air sim with no option to play as a British Pilot. Yer joking aren't yer!
-
Looking at the Official Rise Of Flight website, I notice that several days after its release, there are only 197 posts on the Russian forum. This would suggest to me that sales are pretty poor. I hope this sim is a success however the viewing stats on the ROF website look worrying.

O/T What happened to the forums at SimHQ?
Davy TASB replied to Cameljockey's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
(waves arms wildly in the air!) Me! I was rather enjoying watching the Copy protection/DRM arguments on the Rise Of Flight and DRM forums. -
What he said.... I was originally reluctant to buy OFF because the price is a bit steep once you add the postage and VAT onto it BUT I've already had my moneys worth out of OFF and I dont regret spending what I did on it, one little bit. Stop wasting time and get it bought.
-
You buy it from here , Carlos! Buy OFF Phase 3 here.....
