Are you kidding??? We don't have kids anymore... we have small college students. I have a 9 year old in 4th grade.... we study together (History, Basic Electricity, Advanced Algebra, English and Spanish as some examples... there are plenty more) every single night .... she stopped being a kid at 4. I now have a 9 year old College Student. She gets stressed out, is pressured all week to do 3+ hours of homework every night... has to study for tests days in advance... practice her Cello, read 20+ minutes mandatory.... I have to sign EVERYTHING... etc.. etc.. playtime... for get it... it's gone. In 1969 we went to the Moon with the smartest AMERICAN men on this planet... those men did not have to endure the same crap as our kids do in their childhood. What's the point.... these kids today are hammered to death with this stuff... and yet Obamtron just canceled the Orion project... so even if we have the smartest kids on the planet.. what the hell are we going to do with them? Boys play with guns.... we used to play 'Army' in my backyard all the time... it's part of growing up. Nope... now we chain them inside the house because of fear from all the pedophiles allow to breathe air... they play PS3 all day long Saturday/Sunday, and after school... and Obamatron's wife has the balls to point out that out kids are becoming too obese. OK... I'll up the Ante... Tennessee's George Dickel will be there to provide support, and his cousin Johnny Walker-Black as well to finish the job.

No, it's a N17. The Hanroit closely resembles a Pup. The SS D.I is an N17 in German paint. I agree Bullet... I'd rather have an Alb D.III or a Fokker D.VI, but as mentioned... it was cheaper to build the N17/SS D.I. Either way... he has one more WWI crate than I do. ;) OvS

Points have been made... I'm closing this one simply because it doesn't need to go any further... All the best, OvS

Yes, that's an N11 type repo, however, painted to look like a D.I (and MvR's Dr.1). But the SS D.I was a total rip-off of the N17, so not sure what they were making there. What I like is that Belgium N17... that looks real. Even the Jasta 15 Hantlemann crate is OK, but an obvious scaled down repop. Here is there website... it's awesome! Check out all the active units.. http://www.great-war-assoc.org/admin.htm I think I'll take a drive out there this spring. OvS

Dude... Long Island is about to be slammed Tuesday into Wednesday.... maybe over 14"+ Feel like coming out here with whatever you used on that driveway to make it look so pretty... I'll provide the beer. OvS

Bandy, He is who he is, if you saw the 'awards' I 'handed' out at the end of December, he was given a special nod for being the first biter on new flesh. I don't see his reply as a problem, and when I do, I address it. And he knows that... We all know how uncleAl is and we accept him for the way he his. He is one of the most helpful guys we have, and 9 times out of 10, he's there to give good advice, even if it comes at a cost... and that's usually the 10th time out of 9. Consider being 'bitten' by our beloved Pitbull as part of the initiation into the OFF Community. Lord knows, I have my own bite marks from him... OvS PS... here's a bone uncleal... good boy... this about sums it up...

Vat... vat iz diz talkie talkie.... I have and always will fly German. I couldn't bare to seen in a PC10 colored tunic, a PC10 colored jacket, and flying a PC10 colored plane.... bleeech! Roundels..? That's a bulls-eye!! Although the Brits did have nicer flying coats than us... But seriously... I have always flown German. Not sure what pulled me into it, considering I am an American Patriot by nature (100% Sicilian with no ties to feelings of Sicily... go figure), and I have Stars and Stripes hanging on my house 24/7/365. I love everything American, love everything US issue.., I own a classic American muscle car..... but... when I fly, even WWII flight sims, I fly German. So it's something about their aviation technology... I simply love it. I love the look of the planes, the colors, the feel, the sounds... I have no idea why. I've always felt the German planes in WWI and WWII were superior on all aspects. I don't know if that's true, but it's just the way I feel. OvS

Drool alert.... Come and meet the Fokkers... ;)

WARNING.... for any HUN pilots... it's advisable to wear a bib... OK... here they are... Makai and I decided it was time we revamped our Fokker skin set as it was really the first work we had done in OFF, and many of them looked very degraded from being cut and pasted so much. So for the past 3 months, I have been working on the base templates for each of the 3 types. I still have the D.VII F to do, but for now... here are the first screen shots to come of the effort. Makai has the templates and is working through learning the new techniques I derived from hours of total frustration from my lack of realism in my skins. We have no idea when these will be released to the public, as we have a TON to remaster... but you will have them, hopefully sooner than later.... enjoy! Fokker built Fokker D.VII - in order.... Yes.. all OAW built crates were painted that way factory. The Fokker built had the Lozenge. All markings, colors and patterns are based on Windsock datafile profiles and heavily researched. You'll be able to see the differences between the models as well.. meaning, some have more cowlings, different style cowlings, different serial number styles and placement, correct wheel color patterns... etc. OvS -

Last US WWI Veteran turns 109. Urges Memorial

Well that went down the toilet fast... Closed -
Sounds good Creghorn, what I'll do is go back to my files, and maybe rework the default guns. We went with the faster set more for a nice dramatic feel, rather than the more authentic. I agree, I made them too fast. Thanks for the info... all the best! OvS

Creaghorn, Where did the RoF (rate of fire) info come from? Thanks for the homebrew, BTW... I have all the German news already loaded, it's very good. OvS

Unknown WWI soldier buried in France
OvS replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I know it's not in every man's budget to go to France on vacation, but if you can, and can convince the local cash distribution officer (wife), I highly recommend going there to see these places. It's a life changing vacation, somewhat depressing, but also very enlightening. I simply cannot describe what it feels like. Of all the places I have been, the countryside military cemeteries of France were the finest. In respect to the dead... <S!> OvS -
No... in America, we're a little more lazier than that and would handle it like this. OvS

Well... I know where I'm going this year!!! Pennsy is right next door to NY... :good:

I was never a fan of scripted campaigns. It's too easy to repeat the mission, knowing the outcome, and simply dying enough to prepare better for it. With a dynamic campaign, you never know what is about to happen. I loved that about RB3D and I love it deeper with our campaign manager that Winder created. It's totally random, you have no idea what is about to happen. Games like Wings and Wings of Glory, which had scripted campaigns got away with it because the rest of the games were saturated with atmosphere and storylines that replaced all other aspects... but re-playability suffered because you knew what the end result would be. To me, the the Ultimate dynamic campaign was in EA's 1990's "Birds of Prey". Not only was the game so random, but the end result of the War resided on the success of your missions, or the missions that you had to assist. You flew your missions with a certain sense of urgency that you HAD to be successful. That's a great formula for a ficticious war, but not so desirable for history buffs. Anyway, back to point... a scripted campaign is really a campaign to say that your game has a campaign side to it... a dynamic campaign is more what a war game should be all about. Without it, what's the point. OvS
