  1. Verdun map

    In a cave...
  2. Verdun map

Great stuff! Thanks for this. Can you make the Flanders map as well? OvS
  3. Wow, this is great stuff MK2. I love the board and the planes. What are they 1/72 scale models? You did an outstanding job on this, and it looks like a lot of fun. :) LOL!... I told my wife, that my mid-life crisis will take me back to being 12, 13.. at most 14? Who wants to be 20something again... worried about what I look like, my hair, wasting untold thousands at bars drinking bad drinks... nah... I'd rather be a kid again, it's more fun!!
  4. Yep, I lost another one. I managed to sneak in a game between all the Spring RL stuff at home. My Jasta 15 fledgling pilot of 5 hours and 3 submitted kills took up the flight for a spin and over the mud to an awaiting British Obs balloon. We had just been handed the keys to the Fokker D.VIIF's and it was a beautiful day. Up we go, around the field for the forum-up, aces close by, everyone bobbing up and down and moving around to get into position... and off we go in a SE direction. The Ace flight breaks off to handle some inbound EA, we continue on to the Balloon. I can see the Krumptet's toy in the distance, the AA start-up with it's pretty white phosphorus clouds. I am lined up, guns blazing... BAM!!!! I'm dead. A direct hit from Archie, right in the kisser. Jeeze... this game never gets boring. Fact is, when I checked the mission report, I was too low and flat. I should have come higher and dove on it. I paid for that mistake. Darn... and I was just getting to like this one. OvS
  5. Olham, sign-up with Jasta 11, and pick a fight with RFC 56... or even Jasta 4 should get you many of the RNAS squadrons... so should any of the MFJ's or Seafrostas.
  6. The Albatri series planes are not turn-fighters, they are B&Z, so an N17 which is a turn-fighter, will get you every time if you turn with it. Like Olham says, stay high, and pepper them when you see them... then extend, then come in, turn out, extend. It's hard to train yourself to do that, but you will eventually. OvS
  7. Honestly, this is the BEST approach. We need magazine reviews. We won't be packaging anything, or selling CFS3 with OFF (we legally can't), we are not going to a distributor and loosing 90% of our hard earned profit, plus God only knows what else we have to sign-over to them (software rights... etc). We chose to do it this way because we also have lives and we knew we would not have the time to do it all. We wanted the product in your hands as fast and as easy as possible, and this was the best way. It was a good choice that has worked well for everyone. We're just slow in getting things to fruition as it's a hobby for us, not a business. So for us... any advertising on a website, a forum, a magazine is all we can ask for. All the best, and keep chuggin' :) OvS
  8. Sa-weeeeeeet! I like the music too! OvS
  9. I was serious.

Guys we really appreciate your kindness, that's extremely thoughtful of you. I'll mention it to Winder and see what he wants to do. OvS
  10. Warp issue

Yes, CFS3 glitch that happens at random and for no reason. Follow Jammers advice above. Best we can offer on it right now.
  11. Post the link Widow, so anyone that uses it... can get to it. Make it a separate thread and I will sticky it. :) OvS
  12. Wow... classic!! That's a real nice, authentic looking ace scheme. Especially the Saxon green. :) Great job! OvS
  13. ... and some of us like to drink too.... LOL!! ;)
  14. Thanks.. sorry it took us so long to get it going. ;) It's actually my graphics and design, and Pol's text, editing and information wrapped into one neat package we both made. :) Polovski and I have been very busy as of late: him with OFF and me with RL and other demanding graphical projects. :( We got it going as soon as we could. Hopefully not too late... LOL! All the best, OvS
  15. That was you?! LOL! I read that when I was purchasing my copy of CFS3 there as well. :) Thanks for the plug!
  16. First time i've seen this

    That's Zed and Clem's Moonshine factory.... ;)
  17. Good points here guys, we need Grassroots help... and lots of it. Like it's been mentioned, we did our job, your job was 2-fold... 1. Enjoy (we hoped you would). 2. Tell everyone you know. ;) Heck, my sister-in-law offered to buy it just to have it and support us... that's what we need. Don't worry about getting into flame wars over this sim, you can rest assured knowing we really did our homework on many aspects. But it is a sim, no sense in arguing every rivet, so don't bother with the arguements... remember, you can always be seen as a representitive of the OFF Community... ;) OvS
  18. Just MY 2 pents on the results... in no way related to OBD or OFF Dev... Thanks for all the great and kind words, to say the least, it's nice to make money from a long and hard-worked project, but it's even better to know that what you did is satisfying so many, even if our audience is small. :) If you are a true singer, you love to sing to a group no matter how big or small...if you are a fake, then it's all about money (Millie-Vanillie anyone?). We tried our best and worked very hard, and expected nothing in return, so whatever becomes of OFF, it was designed on pure passion and a desire to exceed all expectations of the past. I think we accomplished that. If we add more stuff, it's simply that, just more stuff. The game and atmosphere will still be the same, top-notch, white-knuckling as you have now. Winder pushed the levels of realism in a close-combat dogfighting game, unlike anything that has been before it. Did using CFS3 as a base to build on kill us? No, absolutely not... anyone that thinks this is dead wrong. What hurts us is that people just don't know how to come to terms that you can change things for the better... even with mods. Out of the box RB3D was a crap game period, hence why so many times I've read in emails and posts that "I shelved RB3D until I found HASP", or "HASP makes RB3D such a fun game", and the like can be said for WFP, and FCJ comments that I've read in several places. It was all the mods that made it so good. It's graphics sucked, the game was missing a ton of stuff, it was low on historic detail, and had little if any scenery...aces anyone (20 per side???). BUT... modders made it what it is... not Dynamix. Same goes for OFF. CFS3 sucks yes, but OFF BHaH takes the 1910 Model 'T' CFS3 through the body shop and on the other side comes out a classic 70's T-Bucket rail-job with a blown 454, 4-speed Munice, tied to a 4.11 rear doing the 1/4 mile in 9.4 @140. The reviewers let us down... they didn't do them as promised... hopefully they read this and give us the chance we deserved. A game is not all about looking nice... and promising the world... it's about playabilty, user involvement, depth, action, atmosphere... it's what made RB3D so good based on all the mods we made.... and it's what makes OFF BHaH the best damn WWI sim ever produced... period!! Please, someone quote me on a magazine for that one!!! All the best, OvS
  19. hmm maybe somthing to make

Better yet... what happens if the prop-shaft bearing binds up on the main support shaft... does the bucket go into 'spin cycle'? OvS

  21. I have returned!

...there goes the neighborhood!!! LOL! Welcome back!
  22. Nose dives

If you are getting this in QC, it's a new one to us. What altitude are you starting at? Perhaps there is not enough 'air' to support the plane. If you are getting this in Campaign when using Warp, we are aware of it. Just turn off elevator trim before you use warp. Also, please remember to upgrade to the latest patched version of OFF 1.30, if you have not done so already. Thanks, OvS
  23. Otto Kissenberth's Final Kill

Widow, Great stuff. Nice to see this one take flight. We'd love to get it in there, but right now the way the plane allocations go, the entire Jasta would be flying them, so no good. Hopefully we can eventually get OFF to assign individual planes with assigned skins to specific pilots... but man, that would be a serious amount of work!! Kissenberth actually flew with Jasta 23b, also another pilot that flew a captured enemy plane in combat was Eduard von Schleich's Spad V.II. That was a nice one as well. OvS
  24. Yes, I agree. Rabu's was the best terrian ever made. Even at high altitude, it did not look so repetitive as Kessler's. It was flowing and looked very natural. Great stuff back then, without it, I doubt my HASP patch would have been as good without it. Thanks for posting that title screen I made way back when... that brough back some memories. Here's a funny fact... Right now I am sitting at my Mom's in Florida on my laptop, my daughter is sitting next to me watching me and asking questions about who is 'OvS'... and what Hell's Angels was. When I made that title screen... she was in diapers!!!! Time flies. OvS
