Good call Cappy.... today I am nursing an insane stomache flu, but still had time to hit the Air Power Museum at Republic Airport with a Vietnam Vet friend, and decorate my house in Stars and Stripes for the weekend... unfortunately.. other than that... I'm f'n useless. OvS

Looks like a dumb game. 1. All players are built like Linebackers. Helps the speed, but ruins the look of the team. 2. It's a football game, how much more can it change 3. It looks more like a game that make great highlight movies that it does actually play. 4. No NFL license, so what's the point. 5. No NFLPLA license... refer to #4. 6. You can't defeat Madden... EA will simply take a little loss, then buy the technology a la ESPN Football.. which was better than Madden. OvS

Video Tearing in OFF - Who has it, Who doesn't?
OvS replied to rabu's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
This is a good one fellas... comon' join in and give input. I will migrate it over to the Knowledge Base to help others once we get enough info. OvS -
Spruce, Birch, Maple... mostly hard woods in the internal bracing, and more pliable, however strong woods for the skins on the Albs and Pflaz types. OvS

Well, I think there is more to it than that. There are several very good German made War movies that never made it to the USA big screens as for some reason, we like our movies made by Americans... I think it's the acting, the recognition of actors... etc.. etc. It might be politically movitated, but I don't think to that extent. 2 examples... Stalingrad, and Downfall. Two very well written and acted movies. On a side note... I loved the comments posted by "surelygOne" about the Star of David on the side of the D.Va. It's priceless... -

Unofficial OFF advertisement Video

Dude... what's with the beef? It's a great video... we won't release anything on P4 for quite some time, so anything P3 is very relative... plus.... even if you play P3 2 hours a day for 6 months, you'd still never see half of what's in it. OvS -
I told my dad they'll be recalling all Korean War Vets for active duty pretty soon... We were talking about this last night over dinner, and both agreed that Obamination will simply acknowledge this, condem it, and move on. He won't do anything else as he's afraid it will provoke the NKA into possible aggression, meanwhile, it probably won't. Il Jong Idiot is simply trying to stoke the flame again, although this is really going to far. NK and SK are still at war, and are only in a truce stage, even though it's been 50+ years now, they are still in 'at war' status. As we all know, now and then he tosses rocks to see how the world reacts and cry's for attention. If you notice, it's always around the same time something happens with Ahmendidiot over in Iran. It seems all of these 'Axis of Evil' players are pushing Obamination's buttons now. What ever happened to his campaign promise of using diplomacy and inviting them to tables to talk out differences. Maybe he underestimated the fact that they simply don't care about what he has to say? Sounds like a rookie mindset to me. OvS

For those that love Heavy Metal, like I do... it's a sad day in our lives. The little man with the huge voice is gone... Here is a small tribute to him... at 67, this man sung "The Mob Rules" like he was 20, over and over again. Unlike others that try to hold on at this age, and sound like dying birds... Dio got younger with age. http://new.music.yah...news/--62001717 Hell just got a lot louder.... OvS

LOL!... yeah... I should have chose my words better... Accept... awesome, sad they didn't last long in the mainstream light. I thought for sure Udo would be the next AC/DC lead... but glad the way it all turned out. Motorhead fan as well... I'm actually taking my 9 year old daughter to see Rush in July. Should be a good intro to solid rock music. She's looking forward to it. OvS

That's not what I meant. You're thinking in today's mindset as an adult, exposed to life... which in that mindset you are 100% correct ... think of life back in the early 80's... as a 12-14 year old, and finding out you're head banging idol was gay. Sorry, back then, it was a hard nut to swallow. Do I care now? Absolutely not. To add... my boss is gay and I have coffee (tea) with him at least once a week... chinwag he calls it. We just know the subject boundaries not to cross... both of us. OvS

No one sung the ABC's on Sesame Street like Lena Horn.... it was almost sexy for a little while... Aunti Lena... ;)
-
Sort-of ... like any Sicilian knows... it's a hex sign.. he told VH-1 he ripped it from his Nona (Grandmother). Just like Rob Halford started the whole denim, leather and spike look to Heavy Metal ... who knew he was leathered and spiked up because he was gay. OvS
-
This sucks... In tribute, maybe I'll blast "Mob Rules" on my ipod and go trash something... like I did back in the 80's to the same song... OvS

Anyone know where that is nowadays. I can't remember where I saw it. My wife's cousin's son is interested in modeling, as he is taking it and Graphic Design/Animation as a Major in college. So I've offered to tutor him with the basics of game making. So I need some 3Views to work with. I'll then keep it as a sticky as it will come in handy for anyone interested in modeling. All the best, OvS

Guys, I didn't check, but is this info stored anywhere in an FAQ? If not, add it, or I can sticky this somewhere. Would be nice to get a screen shot like Olham's for the Nvidia cards. I have a lot of stuff turned off as I test more than play, so I'm out. All the best, OvS

There is another video with the two of them displaying the actual tactics the Germans used with their MG placements at the Somme. They used balloons to simulate "soldiers" marching across an open field, placing the MG head-on and to the flank of the 'column' of balloons. It was pretty disturbing to see how fast the column of balloons was shredded. Unfortunately, WWI battlefield tactics were no better than than ancient Roman tactics, however, the opposing forces were well equipped and modern. The stats say it all. OvS

Hi Siggi. You're a true man in my book! God bless you and Mom, I hope it all works for the best for both of you. I almost lost my mom last year to stage 4 colon cancer, but she beat it. At 74, every day is a gift. Could you guys use a sub category for the DiD campaign? I'd be happy to ask the boys of Combat Ace if we could add another section for you all. Let me know... OvS

No doubt a work of art.. really amazing... he's a true machinist, especially making the spark plugs out of plastics, that alone was really cool!... But the whole things is completely impractical. OvS
-
Yes, definately. It has a lot to do with written pilot accounts, compiling information... and the biggest challenge is when you paint a plane based on an 'accurate' profile, and it looks pathetic in the game. So you have to take EVERYTHING with a grain of salt. We work it all in as best possible. But yes, we even check each other all the time too. OvS PS.. caputre the flag... in a WWI sim? Then it's not a WWI sim... it's only a MMP sim using the WWI theater as a selling point.

You're finally getting it... You guys ARE part of the dev team.... whomever said you weren't? There is a ton of information out there, from books, articles, opinion, some of it even coming from your very own families, and more of it gets posted/discovered every month. Although you don't help us design, paint, etc.... you're opinions on facts, fact checking us and each other, providing details we need, giving constructive input, etc..etc.. all helps us to create a better product behind the doors. There are many games that don't require this amount of care and detail, but a true WWI simulator does. There is simply too much personality behind it. Everything is down to the individual pilot. Not every sport or industry requires the input of the consumer or fan... it's not like I can call the Steinbrenner's and tell them to cut Jorge Posada because he's getting old... but for us, we allow it because we need it. If I ever heard anyone say they are 'the only WWI expert and know it all' I'd s**t my pants laughing at them. We even fact check Norman Franks and DSA... you'd be a fool not to. So with your help, the product grows and gets better. You all know our goal, it's never changed, and as we all grow together, the goal keeps getting closer. We'll get there... together. Screw the rest, and screw them if all they can do is sit back and copy us... it just shows we're getting it right the first time. All the best.... throttle up and chocks away! OvS

We always fly the higher sky. Again, I regress from any finger pointing, it's not the nature of my post, but I feel the requests for us to post pics and stuff, and why we are not doing it anymore deserves a fair and honest reason. We're continuing to plug and chug on things that will no doubt make you very happy and hopefully create an even higher level of interest in OFF for years to come. What others are doing, is their business, but we're making it our business to keep things under wraps until it's ready to be unveiled. All the best, OvS
