Av8er, Welcome aboard. I don't believe you have wasted your $40. I believe P4 is still a bit in the future. It seems the developers are working on the add-on packs for P3. From what I gather, the first pack will include a lot of the "missing" fighters from P3. Check the add-on thread for details. They seem to be also working on a second add-on pack for P3, but I'm not certain of what it's content will be. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but the developers like to play their cards close to their chests. Not that I blame them. Velvet

Siggi, Is there a reference to the DiD rules based on the current version of OFF. Weather settings? Gunner settings? etc? Thanks, Velvet -

Now I know why Olham want the rear seater to do all the shooting. DFW didn't design this crate with a forward vista in mind. -

Plastic scale model Albatros V or Va

Try Roden, they've been making 1:32 scale WWI kits lately. Alb DIIIs and Pfalz DIIIs. No DV or Dva. Maybe you can convert at DIII to a DV. http://www.rodenplant.com/HTML/framemodels.htm http://www.rodenplant.com/HTML/framemodels.htm -
If your flight has rockets and you're attacking a ground target, it's best not to lead them in for the same reason.

I plan to be there on Sunday.

That would be awesome.

It should be great for scaring the wits out of an unsuspecting two seater..... Anyway you should hit a Zeppilin or a fly broad side of a barn that way.

I recall hearing the theory that Albert Ball might had influenced the SE5 design. Since he was familar with the Nupes with a Lewis MG mounted on the wing, he wanted the same with the SE5. See SE5/5a Aces of World War 1 by Norman Franks. But this appears to be speculation One big plus to this configuration is that you can pull the gun down and fire at targets forward and above you. Maybe a future P4 feature? Velvet,

Hey Househobbit, I see you're from Dayton. My family hails from Fairborn. Welcome to OFF.

I think it might have happend to me while flying a Pup. All of the sudden, after recovering from a dive, I was out of control. That was a number of patches ago. I don't think Pups are known for having a weak structure, but that was after surviving a serious furball earlier in the mission.

I really like the new flak (currently mod f with normal setting). I can actually use it to spot enemy aircraft when I'm on my side of the lines, just like the real pilots did. It really helps make the game come more alive.

How could I forget Yuengling! Probably because they don't sell it in CT. PA = yes, NY = yes, even FLA, but not CT. I need to load up the next time I pass through PA. Great stuff.

Check Six, Olham's file location was the one that worked for me on the Vista system, but it was a hidden file in a hidden directory. If you can't find that directory, change your options to show hidden files or type the directory address into the address bar directly. Velvet

What would be the advantage of setting a max frame rate?

Hi All, I've been tweaking my Antialiasing features on my ATX 280 card, and I've not had too much success. I'm beginning to suspect that I'm using the wrong criteria for success. I've been using my virtual cockpit view of my own aircraft as a reference. I've been looking for things like the Pup's rounded and padded windscreen to become less polygon shaped, or the SE5A's headrest to become a smooth arc instead of a polygon. No setting changes seem to effect this. I guess my question is: Does Antialiasing settings have an effect on the virtual cockpit? Thanks, Velvet

Virtual Cockpits and Antialiasing

Thanks Pol, I think that's the answer I needed. I was looking for AA to smooth out modeling curves. Winston, thanks for the link. -
Thanks Sandbagger, I wasn't finding the address in the directory structure, but when I typed it in, I was able to find it. It must be one of those "hidden" locations. I'll have to look into turning that Vista feature off. Velvet
