  1. screenshot?

Thanks guys. Lets see if it will upload....my latest Did/W achievment. ZZ.
  2. screenshot?

    Thanks guys! that helped. ZZ.
  3. So Stump, Once you are done with your design, do you know the proceedure for converting into a file that can be used by OFF so it can be used in game?? I've made a few AC for FS9 in the past, and would likely tinker again if I knew I could get my machine into OFF. ZZ.
  4. OT- Thank you Bullethead!

Thank you Beanie, your timing is impeccable. ZZ.
  5. OT- Thank you Bullethead!

Well, if you are going to tout Kipling, and you should cause he rocks, you must read "IF". Its a great yardstick for life.......aaannnnnnd all that other stuff that happens beore you die. ZZ.
  6. Coolio! Its something I've wanted to try, when I have time of course. Its good you have experience with 3dmax, as I believe thats the software used to create the models, or at least they have a M3D tag. I dunno, I'm guessing here, but I have a converter that I downloaded, untried as of yet, that should convert gmax to M3D. So, we should be able to create a 3d model in gmax, convert to M3D, and use in OFF right!? Somehow I have a feeling its not that simple. ZZ.
  7. Hy Hauk' You by any chance thinking of trying to create some AC for OFF with this? If so maybe we can compare notes. ZZ.
  8. Outstanding...seriously. If we can get enough of these and compile the best, you could seriously get it published. It would be a first....a comic pulled directly from a video game, not just inspired by it! Could also give OFF a good plug too, and free advertisement. Just a thought. ZZ.
  9. Focus

thus bending the definition and rules of 'purist' and DID. Cheers DiD allows zoom.....an I use it regularly. I have two buttons on my control stick dedicated to zooming in and out, and I find it very much replicates what we do in real life. When targets are far out and I am tracking them as combat approaches, I stay zoomed far out to see tactically whats going on and keeping as much peripherial view as possible. But when I fianlly maneuver in on an opponent and "lock on" if you will, I will zoom in a few clicks to refine my targetting. I also find it does what you mention, making the struts and other bits less noticeable. ZZ.
  10. Extra hours in campaign mode

Don't think so, butif you are determined to do so, you could always blow off your mission and fly whatever you want. Your CO might be a bit hacked off though. ZZ.
  11. Oh OW!

Ya....poor Gunner von Graf. His name will be resurrected and live on in the future I'm certain. Just not as a PFALZ PILOT!!!! I got tired of running every time I saw an enemy. He got stuck in that bird for over 5 MONTHS!!! Can't blame him for going batty....watching Fokker Dr1's and DVII's taking off all around him. Always a bridesmaid and never a bride. He simply cracked. ZZ.
  12. Oh OW!

YES, YES THE ALBATROSS IS "GREAT INDEED". Thats why I just flippantly killed my career Pfalz pilot in a "head on" with an SE5a, because they would never transfer me outa that crate and its SEPTEMBER 1918 ALREADY!!!!! ZZ.
  13. Absolutely Stealth and Suprise. The only time I fight like a tiger to the last round.....is when I'm suprised!! And I have crept up (with speed) on enemy patrols and gotten rounds into thier backsides before they turned and reacted. Takes patience....and practice. ZZ.
  14. Found this interesting and was just wondering why in DiD they seem to be discriminated against. I don't really care either way, but was curious. http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/aircraft...nstruments.html ZZ. Perhaps because they were more of a rarity than a commonality?
  15. Olham goes Tripe

Olham, after you are done with the Tripe, try the camel and Viper. They aren't as well rounded as the Albatros D's of course, (lacking in form a bit, where the Albitri blend form and function! ) but they are good fighters. Hmmmmm, perhaps with a better paint job they might compete. ZZ.
  16. Oddly enough, I've seen an even greater oddity, and quite regularly. I hole the fuel tank, the enemy plane explodes dramatically, big flame ball, and I fully expect him to spiral in as the pilot must be a toasted marshmallow by this time. Instead he noses down, regains control and putters along like nothing ever happened!!!! Even re-enters the fight on occasion. WIERD!!!!....no? ZZ.
  17. These wonderful Wingmen

Yeah, nice skin work Olham! ZZ.
  18. Ahem....I have an idea, and feel free to "shoot me down" if its "off colour" or ill advised. But I think another awesome way to provide you guys with some additional income, would be to create a "Ripping Cool" OFF T-shirt. With all the talent and wherewithall of all of the folks here, this should easily be do-able. Not only would everyone here want one, just for the sheer coolness factor and support of the sim we all enjoy, its also free advertising, and thereby contributing to more sales of the initial product. You know, something like the laurel wreath splash screen "OFF" logo on front, and another more detailed one with info on the back, or vice versa. All proceeds over and above actual expenses for its creation could go to the team. Two good outcomes I'd say. Just a thought. ZZ.
  19. D.Va's and Nieuport 17's...

Sometimes you have to lose altitude in part of this "death spiral" by kicking rudder to nose the plane down as you turn steadily, after you gain speed with this trick, lay off the rudder and yank back harder on the elevator to turn further inside your opponent till you lose speed and approach stall,....rinse....repeat. You should be able to line up a few shots this way. ZZ.
  20. She is my lady again!

Olham, As God said of king David..."you are a man after my own heart". Albatri Uber Alles!!!! ZZ.
  21. So Much for that Idea!

Olham may have more data than me, but I usually fly Albatros DV's almost exclusively, as it is my fav plane, and I have NEVER broken a wing in Combat manuevering or diving, unless of course someone collides with me. But then thats different. ZZ.
  22. So Much for that Idea!

Hehe.....niiiiiiiice! I actually landed one like that....albeit after a collision in combat. Took me a good 2000 feet to get her back under control though. Good thing we were fighting high that day!! ZZ.
  23. Those bland Roland C.II's....

Yeah, there are some very cool CII paint schemes, one even has the flying tiger mouth on the fuse like the WWII flying tigers...totally authentic as well, as well as some neat purple and charcoal colored schemes. I just don't think anyones taken the time to skin these yet. ZZ.
