the old path to the uisel C:\Documents and Settings\MYUSERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\ seems to have changed in win7....I can't dig it up....inept no doubt but where the devil is it?

waco......yeah that's me looking for answers over there too about stick issues. everything played flawlessly for so long i began to feel immune from things going bump in the night......now it's my turn to bleat for help. cheers........gaw

it's a ch thrustmaster....a ludicrous name i'll grant you but there it is......there is no FF as I understand it with off right now but there certainly was with CFS3....that shouldn't have changed. The stick feels fine when the computer's on but as soon as I load a game it goes dead....is that when drivers are loaded????or does that happen first thing when the computer starts and there a recognized device, the joystick, attached to the usual usb port???....in which case it's something in the game that's killing the stick.... and yes ff is ticked on off workshop and on cfs controls preference pane. in any event I don't hear a storm of wails about this here or over on sim-outhouse so there must be sticks/drivers that are working fine w/ win7.....what do you have that works please....i gotta have a stick that works..........thanks

thank you VP....that's it....roaming's a new folder layer I guess......having stick problems as well that run the following course...........my stick.....it works when I turn on the computer, tests fine but when I load either CFS3 or OFF the stick goes dead, limp.....the buttons all work but there's no FF or motor tension in the stick at all....and that limp state remains after I close the game....but's back to normal after a restart without a game loaded.....any thoughts all?? thanks

waco.....i had the same problem.....download seemed to go ok but neither winzip or 7 zip could unpack the download and I was left with an endless loop that almost ground the puter to a stop....and I couldn't get rid of it even on a restart. It seems most folks have had no problem....but my experience was exactly like yours less the download time. I bought HitR for a Vista set up and it installed beautifully, played better, and was all you could ask for..... but replaced my system with a new hard drive, motherboard, and windows 7.....and I can't make the download unpack and install. I'm a bit unwilling to send the computer into a second tailspin by redownloading and trying the same routine so maybe I'll wait for a cd version unless any of the miracle workers here have another suggestion. The devs have been more than patient trying to fix this with me but so far no go. good luck and happy new year!

Hey all....bought HITR, bought three download option and downloaded once....great stuff............new system total reinstall....how do I re-access the site for another download. No doubt this is a on a sticky somewhere but I haven't stumbled over it. Thanks.........GAW

you're right unc.....there aren't any......thus my question...........if this is so sought after an item.....why is it such a politically INcorrect hex to even MENTION the no cd subject.....ALL of us here have been around since the paleolithic era and supported the curves of evolution from primordial soup cfs to the apotheosis of OFF, MAW, PTO, ETO, WM Scenery, Korea......for all love, we're still shackled to paying lip service to an attitude that we're trying to steal something when none of us are.....WE'VE ALL BOUGHT CFS3 years ago and have supported/paid for willingly.. marvelous adds/those that were for purchase ....and dealt with the no cd thing by not saying ANYTHING while many of us use the 'crack"...there I've said it...EEEEK!...and wondered if the dire predictions about no cd performance are litany or truth. Aren't any of you tired of it? I bought cfs 1,2,3, off p3, hitr....anything you magicians have served up to your MORE THAN GRATEFUL flyers. I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO PLUG IN MY DECREPIT CFS3 CD, the third one already in a noisy drive....TO FLY OFF ANYMORE.....I WOULD LIKE A NO CD FIX......AND the presumption that I'm not a pinch-penny skinflint who's been persistently dumb enough to pay 5 times the value of a cfs3 cd today for OFF and its fabulous adds......this is crazy!!! Let's assume there are a few malcontents who'll not buy the original CD.....THAT MS DOES'NT SUPPORT ANYMORE....they still can't have BHAH, HITR so pleeeeeeeze....is there any middle ground here or am I banned for life? I feel like there's a flat earth mindset here that this forum group should be far above..or maybe I've had few too many pints. Rant over....let the rain of fire commmence!

jim.....got a cfs3 dvd for sale....i'll happily buy it? looked for an ubisoft on e-bay, there's tons of cds like my own, but it seems the DVD versions are not made anymore, so I don't have to put that miserable disc in to run OFF....wish the no cd thing weren't such a politically correct type hot spot but there it is......and my access to my 3 time download @ Avangate seems to have timed out......never mind, it'll be sorted in time. cheers....and a happy new year to all

It never was that great to begin with but with 7 installed its like a dead chicken leg.....control surfaces still work but no life to the stick or resistance at all.....CH Thrustmaster....maybe new drivers for 7??? the FAQs are quite clear about this....BHAH, big patch, then mini patch...........then HITR followed by its patch as well. Let me know pls if you figure out how to reaccess our download. Thanks....GAW

Hey Fellas....anybody else tried to give yourselves less that full tanks on take-off.....for better performance I'm hoping.....but the gas on the cheater text still reads 100% and drops from there....have to go look at a guage and see if that's different??

lot of interest here.....but no reply from the devs......so best guess is that it's a fluke. this has been requested since time began, even w/ CFS3...and guns were never reloaded....only bombs and rockets.....so it's probably a hard coded issue???? no worries....there's more than enough to occupy all combatants till the cows come home, right!

never happened......but then again never looked for it or expected it...always assumed, like you, that empty was empty. hope you're right....that'd be great to be rearmed at a friendly field and carry on....I watch this thread for sure .......merry everything to all

i think jarhead's right.....F3 toggles the virtual cockpit on and off...F5 toggles the overlay of instruments, info box, and the aiming reticle.
