    these are marvellous..............given clearance, can these be uploaded....be fun to have a rotating set of splash screens

  4. does anybody remember how to type in the numbers on the texture panel? The sliders are wildly unprecise.....there was a thread on this waaaay back but I couldn't dig it up.......thanks! gaw

  6. OFF Current Status

    This is GREAT!!!! Loved the private party skins and tracers add-ons that came out but was under the impression the devs had moved on to other things. SO glad to hear the wizards are at work still on BH&H. Bravo on the cloud crack!!!....and everything else too. MANY THANKS.....I'll be near the head of the line when this comes along! Cheers....GAW
  7. this response is pedestrian to be sure.........but aside from all the witty responses.....you can turn off all the pre-game stuff in "workshops". "Contact" was indeed a nice touch the first couple times.

  9. Warp problems

    It's auto-trim. You have to disable auto trim before you go into warp and then re-enable it when you come out. If you use auto trim, which I do, it causes an uncontrollable downward pitch exiting warp unless it's been turned off before you enter. If this ain't the problem, forgive me. Someone was kind enough to solve this for me a while back!

  12. tried popping 'em into the plane folders....renamed each one to match the outgoing xdp but got a "failure to spawn notice...reinstall OFF". No worries.........kept copies of the originals which on replacement let the game start up again. I probably did something wrong and I'll certainly try installing 'em again tomorrow when I'm a bit more awake as I'd love to see more damage too....I agree, it'd be fun to see more chunks coming off.......or whatever you guys have whomped up. Might you be able to mail me a whole plane to try in case I'm too stupid to sort out the naming protocols? Thanks...............GAW

    nope..............didn't take. sorry.............works in CFS3 but not here it seems........not to fret.....endless respawning of bad guys gets tedious and the real juice is in flying Campaign here in OFF anyhow. Cheers

    Bud...............try this. Go to your "uisel" file. You'll find it in C/Documents and Settings/your User name/Application Data/Microsoft/CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields. In the "uisel" file you'll see the group below. Simply change the Respawn type line from n to y so it looks like this <Respawn type="bool" val="y"/> As soon as you've lunched all the bad guys....a whole new set should appear. <EnemyAircraft> <Aircraft type="string" val="Alb.D.III(OAW)"/> <AmmoPct type="uint" val="100"/> <FuelPct type="uint" val="80"/> <Model type="string" val="Alb_DIII_OAW_SQ1"/> <Quantity type="uint" val="0"/> <Respawn type="bool" val="n"/>
  16. same drill as CFS3...........sounds nuts but it works....continue past the field 7 mi, turn and come back, when you return over the field your crew will be landing....still don't know if it's the 7 mi. distance that triggers the AI landing or the time it takes to go the 14 roundtrip.......whatever, at least you can see 'em all home if you like

I know........sounds wierd but when I hit F4 to view the bad guys........and they're in clouds (source of turbulence)....and then pop back into my cockpit...even if I'm flying in clear air.....my kite it pitching about as though I were the one in the clouds. Never happens when the bad chaps are in clear air too. Serves me right I suppose for moving around in the OFF world.......but who can resist???? There are so many great perspectives to see..........I can't stay locked in cockpit.

  20. OFF P3 is.....

    OK...........I do feel a bit lame whenever given a railyard or airfield attack.......I'll spinkle a burst in that direction from a safe distance for conscience sake knowing that if I even think of strafing a juicy stack of boxes, a rail car, or a parked plane I'll have my ass handed to me by the MG's. Maybe that's the way it was.....I don't know. I do know there's plenty of other stuff to do, whatever the mission directive is........and still come home to play the violin again.
