Warp Issue in 1.26 - and workaround:
gaw replied to Winder's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
W....you beauty!!! I'm ashamed I wasn't able to figure it out....thanks for the support all of you.....your magnum opus is a world class operation!!!!! -
W..........reset to defaults...........no change. No worries really....plays beautifully and looks gorgeous....and I lose half my pilots ogling the scene instead of paying attention in the cockpit!
-
W.....saw you've got this on the 1.27 watch list.........many thanks! GAW XP Home, Intel® Core2 CP 6600@2.40GHz(2 CPUs), ATI Radeon HD4800 w/512, 2048 ram, directX9.0c, Realtek HD Audio, sliders 4,5,3,3,3 Haven't tried the 'Set to Defaults' yet but will!

O.......thanks for the thoughts. Lean (minus) at higher altitudes, rich (plus) for lower altitudes. Having more than enough on my hands to begin with I leant on auto-mix to take a bit of weight....but of course the real deal guys had to cover it all....so maybe I should too....in any event, whether auto-mixed or manual....I still pitched......flying with a CH Thrustmaster FF Topgun. I'll give Winders suggestions a go..maybe the altitudes a factor..thanks devs for all you do.........this flys better and better. Cheers all.....GAW
-
W.............thanks mate, have a few hours tomorrow to rattle around with this...thanks for your time......gaw
-
me too AP.............tried doing the mix thing too(off automix).......temp workaround for me is to snatch the stick back exiting warp, go over the bumps, straighten out and and all's well afterward unless the wings come off. Winder, Pol et al..........I swear this is no biggie....Workshop choices are brill.........AI behaving thanks to your hotfix.....bless you all!!!! GAW
-
fair enough...........as an inveterate warper, your rational shortcut to the inevitable is right on the money.....thanks for the feedback
-
yep, same here.........maybe useless, but I'd still like to at least try to get the crate on the ground.......then happy to wear the manacles or participate first hand in the funeral
-
maybe auto mix....which to my chagrin I've used since day one has been flanked....yet there's a choice in workshops.....guess it's time I started doing my own work in the air.....love this sim..and our new home..even if my warning bar is maxed already....maybe it's a perceived complaint meter....I'll try laying low....see if the bar graph recedes . Thanks all for the formation hotfix although I must say it was entertaining to see the team swanning around in front. Cheers...GAW

W........thanks for checking. Didn't seem to matter if I was in cloud or popping out on a clear day........Tripe, Camel, N11, DR1 all pitched....started w/ Tripe in Campaign and only after 1.26.....same plane/pilot....love the show and all you guys have done to keep it going....Many Thanks

no worries........hope there's an answer

Sopwith Pup & Warp since 1.26

AP.........just posted on the same thing........same here. Must be others too......gaw -
I've no doubt you're right about the LIOLI standard (like it or lump it)...........someone's got to hold up the yardstick and measure every pilot by the same standards....otherwise, what's the point? Flew several campaigns (apallingly short ones) by DiD standards and become quickly aware that unless I had TIR I was toast. I couldn't begin to track the action with the POV's on a hat switch.....just an occaisional flicker of plane passing my nose in a blur....snap shots that I'm sure made no dent on the bad chaps. I did find the immersion factor ramped up enormously and the fear of collision or being shot to bits out of nowhere was pretty gripping. To give myself any kind of chance I left the TAC on and used padlock to get a sense of things in a furball. As you say, without the TAC I missed the action entirely 9 times out of 10...only being aware of attack when bullets were whistling around my wings....and then it's too late.....maybe after 1.26 the AI won't cripple us so easily. The combat's the juice for me.....and if you're going to have a kill board....you have to be there to kill 'em. I can live without the long run to target.....I just don't have the time....and have been grateful that the devs let that WARP count as real time. You're idea is great and I'll jump on board with pleasure whatever the DiD/LIOLI standards turn out to be. Cheers...GAW
