never really fooled around with this....shift + F6....but it's very nice. anybody know if you can/how to substitute this float view for one of the 4 views that F4 cycles thru? Thanks...gaw

dunno.....I suspect it just fell under peoples radar.......I seldom hit the fly-by view either....and that's a cool look-see too....onward and upward!!!

Ol.....got it.....bless you, but what I'm after is altering the sequence of F4 view choices. The only one I've ever been able to alter is the last F4 stroke which defines player/target view.....with a deft touch of Cntl/Alt F4 it changes to target/player view instead of player/target view .....which allows me to see who's after me.....not terribly sporting to be sure but an edge that's undeniably useful. I'm hoping to put the Float view into that cycle of 4 views but haven't a clue how to do so....if it's even possible. The view UI xml is changeable.....including your own marvelous FOV settings.....and other HUD aids 1-5 that I've taken advantage of in the other CFS shops. Just a thought...but it's funny how these forums spark an interest in a fraction of change in a otherwise waiting world. gaw

amazing vid nevertheless.....and a reminder of the hidden dynamics behind the machine.......makes me wonder what writing an FM must be like....not only the demands of realism but the quirks of a computer sim as well....wonder if the Sikorsky guys ever modeled that destructive cycle?

good show!.....careful, considerate writing too. Takes a lot to draw others into such a personal experience without seeming maudlin or trite. You totally engaged this reader at least with your own experience and yet managed a nod to your pilot and your honey who made the whole thing posible to begin with. The ability to write one's trans-formative moments is rare.....good for you...and your gal!

wasn't there some crafty app that gave one average fps across an entire mission....or is that already in fraps....can't recall!

I can't make out what that average box, if ticked, depicts on the game screen???......anybody???? If it is an average than over what period of time is it valid....is the display showing the average in the last 20 secs or 30 min......maybe it's time to read the directions....last choice always!!!

Astonishing.......had the same thought today looking at the scales and wondering "how did that happen". I chalk it up to an Xmas and Thanksgiving proximity which amazingly enough seems to happen every year....despite my best intentions....at pretty much the same time. We can never go back....and we're all distorted reflections of ourselves at an earlier time,,,,,this will sound horribly lame but I think the secret is to be comfortable with who you are now and know that what you were can never be regained....it ain't about the weight....it's all of it.... the wrinkles, the loose skin, and the hairline....and ultimately...who's looking? "Be yourself.....everybody else is already taken".
